Old friends on town. Loved the Washington rxperience
Loved this place! We celebrated a special occasion and the environment was ideal. Great services, delicious food, reasonable prices.
We had a great meal and terrific service at the bar for lunch after touring the White House.
Old Ebbitt Grill is an iconic must see in DC. It's amazing to think of the history of this establishment. As far as the food goes, it's a good meal, but nothing special. The service feels forced as there is a line of people waiting for your table. Go once to say you've been. There are many other truly great places to eat.
Food was great. It maybe was an isolated situation but I personally felt the waiter was rude to us. He was very nice to the table beside ours.
I don’t like being rushed out of the dining area. It should not be like a food factory.
Always amazing! Thank you for always serving great customer service and food!
We came to DC on a trip for my mother-in-law. The old Ebbitt did not disappoint. Very good food. Drink prices were very pricey. The meal itself was large portions and around $20 a meal.
First night in DC and had an excellent meal, oysters, crab cakes Chicken fettuccini and clam chowder. Great service. Check it out!
This is a great restaurant in a perfect recommendation for folks just in the DC area for one or two days anytime someone new comes to the area I highly recommend old Ebbitt Grill is the first place to have dinner.
Disappointed in service. Food was just OK.
Pro tip: If polenta is on the menu, wait staff should know what it is, etc
Very nice Sunday Brunch for two the staff is very friendly and seemed to manage a lot of customers quickly.
Food was excellent! And the service was even better...
Great service, lively, food quality was very good, and the wine selection was great.
It was my birthday dinner and they did not disappoint. Everything was excellent. Muscles were suburb followed by a great salad and salmon. Great bottle of wine too. Service and atmosphere was excellent. Thanks for a great evening.
Old Ebbitts Grill delivered again. I took two new people for dinner. We had the works. Drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert. The service was great and the food delicious.
Took the grandchildren for a surprise dinner and they were impressed with the food, the service and the atmosphere. They loved the oysters rockafeller.
Tables are cluttered. Food is good but not fantastic. Conversations are too loud
Ronnie our waiter was just great! Very nice personality and friendly!
Excellent overall. Crab cakes and shrimp and grits were superb. Very spicy Bloody Mary.
Service was good, food okay, but everything felt rushed when we wanted to sit and enjoy our date night away from the kids. We had our appetizer and main course all within 30 minutes.
We had been told “you have to go” and we were not disappointed! High energy, great atmosphere and food! Loved seeing all the old decor!
Had a great late lunch once again. Try to make a stop each time in DC.
Ended up sitting at the bar. Great customer service.
Always a great place to enjoy a good meal and time with friends. The food is always consistently good. The staff are very welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. It’s a must-do stop on every trip to the nation’s capitol!
The food was fantastic, we had oysters, fish cake and grits and prawns which were all amazing. The service was efficient and engaging with attentive smiling staff. Despite being very busy and in high demand, the restaurant staff were effective in ensuring that all parts of the experience were enjoyable. The guide books and everybody we spoke to were right, visiting the grill is a must experience! Thank you 😃
It is a great place and the food is very good price is reasonable. Our server could have been nicer though
Service was slow. Ordered tea and never received it. Other than that it was a good experience.
Kevin the server was GREAT and the bartender (that laughs because he knew I wouldn't remember his name)
Very noisy young child at next table was very annoying food not cooked as requested
The (kids) cheese burger was fantastic the fries were standard and also the y were hand cut which I found nice.
Oyster menu listed the provenance of oysters which I appreciated, however, it seemed like they had been rinsed as most were disappointingly bland and not as briny as described and expected. The mussels and tomato salad were good though.
Food was great...food took longer than normal and it seemed louder than usual but a great meal!
We arrived and even though it was very crowded we were able to get a seat at the bar while we waited for our table. The wait was not long, and once we were seated the wait staff took exceptional care of our needs. The food was delicious and the interior of the restaurant was beautiful?
Good food, good server, tables too close. Too loud, cannot heat person across from you
Great service, food and ambience!
As always, a wonderful experience. This time, I was meeting a friend/client in from overseas. We were there for 4 hours. The staff was extremely accommodating, and did not complain about us monopolizing the table (I did make sure to tip the staff for 4 turns of the table based on our bill, I’m not THAT awful). It is a Landmark, as well as my favorite restaurant in DC! Cannot recommend it highly enough!
Our sever was excellent and the food was great! We were seated near the kitchen door, so there was busy noise going on. That is understandable, otherwise wonderful experience for us Cali folks!
Best restaurant in DC. Not much more that needs to be said.
