We had lunch at 2pm and it was very busy still. Service was quick but as a result felt extremely impersonal & borderline rude. I wasn’t aware that this was going to feel like a tourist trap but that’s probably a misinterpretation on my part.

Great food, nothing exotic or inventive. Good takes on some great classics. Loved the crabcakes! It's mostly succulent crab and seasoned just right.

Had a delicious meal (again!) at OEG, where great service, great food and great classic ambience intersect.

We had a 1:30 PM reservation and were seated promptly. It was surprising how busy it was at that time and remained so throughout our dining experience. We were waited on reasonably quick and were served our drink order promptly. We split 1/2 Dozen Oysters and a double order of crab cakes. Everything was delicious and high praise for their crab cakes! They were backed with crabmeat and very little filler. This was our third time visiting the restaurant in the several visits to DC and never had a bad experience.
