Came for a Birthday celebration and loved gff bff experience.
Geräuschpegel mehr als laut. Für ein entspanntes Abendessen nicht zuträglich. Rechnung kam schon mit dem Dessert. Selbst für die USA nicht ok. Essen war mittelmäßig. Steak als Medium rare bestellt war Medium.
The best of DC!
Prior to the alighting of the National Christmas Tree, we had an awesome lunch at Old Ebbitt Grill. Never disappoints. We had the Navy Bean Soup, Oysters Rockefeller, Salmon Salad, and the Seared Scallops. Everything was delicious. I was glad I had reserved a table as they were quite crowded. Excellent service as well. Great place for a meal or special occasion. Great atmosphere.
Good breakfast without being great. Nice atmosphere and great location though
Great location which means parking is very limited. Otherwise classy ambience, good service, delish food with value for money. Definitely recommended!
Note: a dinner for two will easily set you back a minimum of $100 without drinks.
Crab and artichoke dip was out of this world!
Impeccable service!u
Cant wait to come back.
Food and service were both excellent - so noisy that it was challenging to have a conversation.
Great food and great service. Go there every time we are in Washington.
Great food and service as usual. Old Ebbitt is one of our "go to" places every time we're in DC
Great place
Great recommendation from friends, great piece of history and food
Love this place. Best time to go is happy hour where you get good prices on the seafood platters. Every time I visit DC this is a must restaurant.
The best clam chowder and crab cakes around!
Need to expand on the menu. Very limited selection
Seating was a bit odd, group of 5 had to sit in a booth with a chair at the end. Also the back rooms were quite cold! Overall great though.
So fun for my son’s 20th Birthday celebration. It was just four of us, but the waiter made it fun and festive. The food was outstanding. We had Crabcake “Bennie”, Filet, Meatloaf and a classic Ruben. Everyone enjoyed!
Raw oyster happy hour was terrific, and the food was delicious, it was just a bit crowded and loud for my preference, the tables are about 10 inches away from each other. I'm glad I did it though, it has a lot of interesting history.
Our waitress Leah from Bloomington was fantastic. Best Bloody Mary ever. The only only suggestion-the day after Thanksgiving the wreaths should go up.
The place itself is nice. Food was ok but nothing more than what you get in a more casual, much lower priced restaurant! Service was way below average. Staff are not accommodating, unfriendly and not professional! I wonder how did it get all these reviews!
The food and service are consistently excellent. The menu included a wide selection to appeal to almost anyone.
Tal at the bar was outstanding!
Although we had reservations. we were not seated for 25 minutes. Our waiter had to be asked 2 times before he brought us bread. My dinner of scallops was lukewarm but delicious. My appetizer did not come until after my entree arrived. When asked, our waiter sad that the "raw bar was slammed " and my Oyster Rockefeller came from the raw bar. He went to check and the appetizer arrived immediately so I suspect that he just forgot to get them. My husband's Reuben was fine, my daughter's kid's cheeseburger was fine but small. My latte was lukewarm although my husband's coffee was nice and hot. This is my first visit to this restaurant and I was not impressed.
Excellent service and fantastic meatloaf
Worth every penny!!! Actually the experience was priceless :)
Excellent service. Great happy hour prices on the oysters.
As usual this place does not disappoint. The food and atmosphere was outstanding. Always a favorite when traveling to D.C.
We were at The Old Ebbitt Grill for Thanksgiving.
Despite being very crowded, everything was very good.
We had a short wait for our table, but after being seated, things moved along smoothly.
We opted for a traditional Turkey dinner which was DELICIOUS.
Will definitely return on our next visit to DC.
Spent Thanksgiving in DC and went to Old Ebbitt - food and service were even better than typical day. We will return !
Excellent value, food, service here. The prices, compared to nearby places are more than reasonable and service and ambiance is awesome. Only place we have wanted to visit more than once.
Food, drinks and ambiance were excellent. Our waiter was very professional and they accommodated us even though we showed up 2 hours early for Thanksgiving. One of the most enjoyable Thanksgivings I’ve had that I didn’t cook.
Thanksgiving
The ‘oldest saloon’ in D.C. and still going for good reasons. Great ambiance; superior wait service; and perfectly cooked, delicious food. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a good night to go out, Old Ebbitt is the place to go.
Love this restaurant. Don't get here often enough.
Second time we’ve done the Thanksgiving Day spread. The place is packed and for very good reason. The traditional turkey dinner was great and my wife had salmon which was also delicious. The entire staff was great and seemed happy to be there and help you celebrate the day.
Great place for the food and history. Oysters are excellent, and the staff is very attentive.
Solid thanksgiving dinner! Played not buffet but the serving was more than adequate. Drinks as always are creative, satisfying and good. Service however was exceptional for our visit. Our server was happy, outgoing and accountable!
Always a great choice for DC!
My husband and I love going to the Old Ebbit Grill for Thanksgiving dinner. He can have a traditional turkey dinner, and as a vegetarian I can order something I want. In this case there was a fantastic grilled cauliflower entree that was perfect for me. It was prepared with a great combination of flavors, without overpowering the cauliflower. Our waiter was very attentive, without being overly so. He made sure we were happy with our meal and had everything we needed.
Enjoyed our traditional annual thanksgiving lunch as usual. Friendly professional they deliver what they promise
