Another great experience at OEG! Wonder and extensive brunch menu.
Amazing!!! Loved the oysters! Great service, highly recommend!
I am a big fan of old Ebbits. Every time I visit DC it is a must stop
Tight table for 2 in loud environment. Service was excellent but food was below expectations. Still, it was a ‘nice’ place to spend an evening.
Oh, the oysters are the best in the area. And happy hour prices made four dozen oysters a bargain. The wait Staff was wonderful. Great place.
Birthday incredible experience great food and service
Old Ebbitt is a classic for a reason. Tried and true, good food, excellent service, in nice surroundings. The crab cakes, salads, grilled chicken sandwich and soups are all can't miss items. While it gets crowded and reservations can be tough, if it's just a couple of folks, sit at the bar. The bartenders make you feel like "they know your name."
It is a great!
Stone crab is excellent.
I love overall and will be back soon.
Food was delicious and service was impeccable. thanks for a lovely evening.
We made a dinner reservation more than a week in advance. We were on time for our reservation and yet they still seated us in the bar for dinner. We had out of town visiting guests and we missed getting to experience the ambience of the restaurant.
I had my soup and my friend ordered oysters Rockefeller and it took over 30 minutes.
I love Old Ebbitt Grill. The food is wonderful, the service is exceptional and the ambiance is inviting. I've been in DC since 1972 and remember the former Old Ebbitt Grill on F Street. Always great food and great value.
Great vibe, very crowded and loud but that adds to the atmosphere. Food was excellent and our server was the best.
Old Ebbitt never fails to delight. In addition to great food and drinks, we had amazing service from Brad. Honestly, he made our evening with old friends visiting DC the highlight of their week. He’s the best. Thank you!
Delicious food and great service
Good food but pricey.
Eating at Old Ebbit Grill has become a tradition, whenever we visit the White House or attend a Navy Band concert we always finish with lunch at Old Ebbi Grill, we have been doing this for more than 20 yeas and we have always enjoyed our experience.
My wife and I had an appointment in DC earlier in the day, so decided to spend the whole day in town and end with dinner at the Old Ebbitt Grill, a place we hadn’t been since right after we got married. We arrived about 10 minutes earlier than our scheduled reservation and were seated promptly. The service was great, the food was excellent, and the ambiance made for a wonderful evening. We won’t wait so long to go back, again.
So good we are eating there again tomorrow!
Loud enough where neighboring tables couldn’t hear my kids be kids. Delicious food for new vegans. Didn’t like a drink so server comped which was kind. 5 star!
Great food! Oysters were spectacular!
Just too loud. It’s not as if the music was old standards and everyone stopped to sing along. It was gratuitously loud and unnoticed. Tone it down.
A beautiful old restaurant with a lot of history. The waiters were wonderful
Great food and service. Wonderful old time ambience, can almost see the ghosts of politicians past sitting at the tables. Don’t miss while in Washington.
Always our first stop, we would not miss brunch here. It’s loud but that’s part of the fun.
We were in a group of five people for a Sunday brunch before going to a show at National Theater. The brunch selection was excellent and food was delicious, particularly oyster stew, eggs Benedict with crab cakes, and a huge brioche. The restaurant was full but our table was ready almost immediately upon arrival. The dining room was quiet enough to hear conversation across the table easily.
Absolutely one of my favorites in DC! It has everything... ambiance, wonderful service and amazing food. Oysters are our favorite!!
Great! Historical, highly recommend making reservations, always packed.
I was there first early birthday brunch. I had shrimp and grits, I had to take shell off one of my shrimp which were slightly overcooked.
Our server Trey was good and on top of our table and took good care of us.
As an aside there was a 5 K run with many people coming in to eat with running gear still on. Sorry but the odor was strong. Not my best time at the Ebbitt.
Jumbo shrimp were overcooked and not very tasty. But all other food was good. Duroc pork chop, butter nut squash pasta and desserts were tasty.
Excellence all around...enjoy! We loved the food, service and ambiance.
It is our yearly Christmas tradition to go to the Old Ebbitt Grill with another couple. We have never gone any other place because everything is so perfect there. The decorations are beautiful, the food is delicious, and the wait staff has always been great. The gentleman we had this year was especially nice. I could not recommend it any higher!
Everything was great.
Wonderful! Food and drinks were excellent! Always love eating at Old Ebbitt!
Christmas concert pre-dinner
poorly run. lost reservation and hostesses were like 2 high school girls giggling away. decibel level was like standing behind running jet engine
Christmas dinner with my girls
Had reservations at Occidental after going to see the Nut Cracker at Warner theater. Perfect day.
It's a Washington Icon..........and the staff is SO NICE and accommodating. Will say the wine pours are pretty stingy, but the service outstanding, the decorations so festive and every one of the staff, over the top accommodating even when you ask for fried oysters and they are not on the menu ( although they should be) they make them.
The Old Ebbitt is just a great place.
Came for a Birthday celebration and loved gff bff experience.
