Family vacation and St Patrick’s day.
Service was disappointingly slow. Took 28 minutes to bring one slice of peanut butter pie. No one asked how our dinner or experience was. Food was outstanding but service left us with a bad taste.
Classic...Always great service. Staff is always friendly and sincere.
Great brunch menu! Waiting staff were attentive and pleasant. Food came out hot and well prepared.
Great atmosphere. Really captures the feel of the city. Mussels fra Diavalo was great, as was the very friendly and efficient service we received. Will definitely return. Surprisingly inexpensive, especially for the meals we had.
The food was great and it was my first time there and in DC.
Our server Brad was outstanding! Brad made the evening a wonderful experience. The food was excellent.
A table to fit all folks. Jacket or no jacket, your taste buds will be quenched no matter which side of the isle. Drinks are cold, plates are hot and food is delicious. Cool historic spot to enjoy the days walk. Take in the scenery.
Amazing time and amazing food! Get the filet! You won’t be disappointed!
We had a great time. The food was amazing. The suggestions from the waitress were delicious. And she was very knowledgeable about the menu. There was a slight mishap with an allergy. But management came over. They comped the item. And all was taken care of in a very professional manner. We were very pleased with everything we had. And cant wait to go back. The noise level was high. But it was st paddy's day weekend and was very very busy. But we didnt have to yell to speak to each other. It was very nice, romantic, and we loved every minute!
We went for our 34th wedding anniversary and had exceptional service and food. The best value is the raw bar happy hour.
Great atmosphere and great food with excellent service.
Overall excellent service. The food was very nice. They sat us right at the time of our reservation. We appreciated them taking care of the egg and peanut allergy at our table. We loved it, and we will come back when visiting the city next fall.
Food was great, service was great. Would highly recommend.
Oyster stew was just ok. My friends clam chowder was only ok. The Walter sandwich was very good
Amazing waitstaff and hostesses. Food was incredible and they remembered our birthday boy several times.
I really love the food there! Crab cakes were so yummy, also the lemonade is not too sweet not too sour, which is really nice. Love here and will recommend!
Had a reservation and was seated immediately. Although busy our server was charming and gave us great dining suggestions. My sister, in from San Antonio TX, wanted the crab cakes but was hesitant to order because it came with coleslaw and fries. She had seen the veggies accompaniments on other dishes and was going to order a different dish. Our great server was quick to offer veggie accompaniments and she was thrilled. Thanks for a great evening all around!
Best crab cake I’ve ever had! Great service.
Always fantastic. My favorite restaurant in D.C. food is top notch as is the service.
Outstanding. Food was phenomenal, customer service was prompt and even able to get us in earlier than our reservation time.
We finished our morning Congressional tour early and were pleasantly surprised that the Old Ebbitt staff were able to accommodate us with a table within a few minutes of our arrival. Foo was great- service was too.
From Texas and this was recommended by friends. Good choice and my teenage boys really enjoyed.
The food was fine but the service provided was horrible. Our waiter took our order and never returned. I had to ask for my ice tea to be refilled. The table next to us received good service but for some reason, the same waiter did not want to serve us. It was a terrible experience.
It was nice, however it is very expensive. We got two meals and it was $51
We are visiting from Cincinnati Ohio and Old Ebbitts was recommended to us by a friend. We had such a wonderful time And meal and the service was outstanding! We will recommend to all of our friends and come back again!
Loved everything about this restaurant! Food was awesome and great ambience.
Old Ebbitt never disappoints. Great seafood happy hour and many items available at dinner. Wide variety of selections on menu, surprisingly well done give the large number of entrees to choose from. Generally crowded and the noise level is higher than many pleases but a great bar scene with a wonderful dining experience to go with it. A Washington landmark you won’t want to miss.
Superb food and service to match. Crab cakes were astonishingly good.
This has just gotten too popular. There are too many people and the dining is very rushed. I love Ebbitts for the gas lights, etc. but there must be a place with less tourists that has the same great food options.
This was the best meal I have had in years. And my wife and I loved our waiter. Everything was so great, we went back two nights later. The highlight of our vacation in DC.
Bringing our girls to see their Capitol city on Spring Break
Way too loud to sit in the back bar area. Very difficult to have a conversation and could not hear the waiter. Food was good and the server was attentive.
I was surprised the crab claws were not as good as I had expected 🤷🏻♀️
Very allergy friendly! My daughter has allergies to soy, gluten, & peanuts. They were able to make her a burger and fries that she loved!
The Old Ebbitt Grill is in a great location and has a nice ambiance. We went there for breakfast on a Thursday morning. I ordered the eggs benedict - it was very basic and the presentation was plain. I was disappointed. My daughter did enjoy her breakfast . Her plate looked full/appealing and she said the breakfast potatoes would definitely be worth going back for.
Fantastic foot and great for our big group.
May be the very best value in DC. OEG is always great.
Great food and great service.
