   The rack of lamb (lollipops) were exceptionally good! Matter of fact, the entire dining experience from start to finish was perfect. Our waiter, Adam, did a great job at taking care of all of our needs! He was extremely attentive even though it was a very busy time for him. By far, it was the best restaurant we dined at during our visit to St. Augustine. We'll certainly be back when we return for another visit in the future.

   The rolls were hard as rocks. We politely asked for replacements and different rolls arrived warm but still stale. Food was OK but overpriced. Service was mediocre.

   Nice small restaurant in an easy walk within the historic district. Great service but food was just OK for the price. We ordered she crab soup - which was good & the special tomato & meatball soup which was tasty but it was more of a sauce than a soup. Main meal was the NZ lamb chops which served 9 chops that were properly cooked but lamb was a bit chewy. Other main meal was the cioppino where some of the fish was overcooked. Broth was just OK.    This quaint and quiet restaurant is part of an historic hotel near downtown St. Augustine. We dined on a Wednesday evening in May. The service was very good. The food was delicious and well-prepared and presented. I peaked inside the kitchen at the conclusion of our meal service and it was spotless. I hope not too many people read this review as I'd like to go back and have a similar experience.

    A truly Fine dining experience, from Reservation ease to the staff, an absolutely perfect dining experience, Soaking in the old ambiance of eating in the ancient city so St Augustine. We had shrimp cocktail, a beet salad and chicken lemon rice soup-all were absolutely amazing. Our entrees were the pork chop on the menu and the salmon smothered in a crab shrimp cream sauce that outrageous! A must if you are visiting St Augustine.

    The food did not disappoint, it was phenomenal. The Crab Cocktail appetizer qas.my personal favorite. The waiter was very attentive (Mack). I would most definitely come back on a weekday out.

    Food was wonderful! Outside seating was beautiful, comfortable and quaint. Service was very attentive and accommodating. The only downfall for some... the tip was added to the bill, which is no big deal to me. However, I generally tip more than 20% for good service. I can see why it's added as some patrons (being a tourist town) I'm sure cheap out of that portion of the experience. Also I might add, a 9% charge is added for using a credit card... bring cash if you want to avoid that (lots of it, it's pricey) overall great food, service and ambiance!

    Was our 25th Wedding Anniversary dinner and everything was excellent. Greeted with Happy Anniversary Wishes by the bartender and our waitress. We were seated immediately even though we were early for our reservation. Our waitress was excellent, attentive without hovering. Our food was served as ordered and everything was delicious. We shared a shrimp cocktail, we both had filet mignon and we shared a dessert of white chocolate and chocolate mousse. We would definitely recommend The Old City House Restaurant.

    We both had great dinners. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the rack of lamb was excellent. Our server Mack was very nice and provided great service. We requested outdoor seating and they have a great patio/garden area that was the beautifully landscaped.

    The server made wonderful recommendations. The soup and house salad were very light and nice. The chef's special was a flounder, which was superb. The crab cake was loaded with crab. The coconut cake was also light and the perfect finish to the dinner. It was very romantic.

    Hadn't been here for several years. Everything was great. We had cioppino, pork osso bucco, and crab bisque..all delicious.. Mack was our waiter and provided excellent service. The wine list provided many good choices at reasonable prices.

    The first time we went here, it was just my wife and I. This time, we brought our teenage kids, and they were blown away with the quality of food and service! So it was great as an intimate date night, and also wonderful as a family restaurant!

    I celebrated my birthday with three girl friends in the courtyard and it couldn’t have been nicer. Good food, good service, perfect weather. Our waiter (bartender) couldn’t have been more delightful. Two of us had been before but other two were impressed. I love that you could make reservations and had vegan choices.

    Dined here for a birthday, and regret it. Both entrees were poorly cooked; the filet was like shoe leather. Service was mediocre; our waitress was also serving as bartender so she made it to the dining room infrequently.

    We ate in their exquisite garden to celebrate my 90th Birthday. We chose a late hour to dine (8:30) so we could be assured it was quiet. Our waiter was extremely helpful and made some fine recommendations. I was both surprised and thrilled with their surprise dessert especially created to celebrate my birthday. Will certainly eat there again when I am next in St Augustine.
