My wife and iIwent for our birthday dinner. Its the slow season in St Augustine so was only half full. The food was excellent, service was great. It is charming and quaint. Loved it.

Fist time to St. Augustine and this restaurant. The staff were great. The she crab bisque was THE BEST bisque that I have ever had of ANY kind of bisque! It was so good I tried to return for lunch to get more.

We were celebrating husband’s birthday and couldn’t have selected a better place. We both had the cream of mushroom soup, which was so velvety smooth and tasty. All dishes are made in house. Husband had the halibut special over risotto. It was seasoned perfectly. My osso bucco was so tender, it just fell off the bone, which was served with potatoes and asparagus. Our dinner was perfect and the waitstaff was personable, attentive, and very professional. Highly recommend!

Such a quaint little restaurant, with the absolute most delicious food ever. I enjoyed a fresh cocktail and old fashion with LaSardo cherries followed by the tuna tartare as an appetizer. I want you to the beef tenderloin. Entrée was delicious. I was very impressed with the way the potatoes were presented. I was dining for a remembrance celebration and the servers were very caring about that at my dining experience.

We live in town and come here relatively often. I normally don't care much about the food and mostly go out to eat in order to enjoy the ambiance, do some people watching and spent some quality time with my wife, family or friends. But I have to say that I really love the food here. Not inexpensive but actually quite reasonably priced for the quality they offer. We have had the lamb, filet and pork several times and have really enjoyed that; at our last visit there was Chilian Seabass on the menu which I love, probably the best I ever had. The staff is great... knowledgeable, attentive and very nice.

I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading several reviews. They were right, when they are off their game the dinning experience is absolutely horrible. Way to hot and muggy inside the restaurant. Why they would subject their fine dining guests to Florida heat is inexcusable. Their game was way off tonight as the chef tried to serve a substandard over cooked piece of “meat” as a tenderloin. By the time the chef corrected the snafu, I was done my pork chop. Completely ruined our last night in this beautiful city. Take your chances at a casino, not this restaurant.

This was my wife’s birthday dinner and we were very disappointed in the food. Veal meatloaf and OSA Bocuo were very dry and we left most of it on the plate. We’ve been here several times and always enjoyed just not this time. Also, we had to listen to a group behind us that were very loud. Should have changed our seats.

Old City House is one of those hidden gems that has to be experienced while in St Augustine. An outstanding menu coupled with a great wine and cocktail list make this place a dining destination. Crab cakes with mashed potatoes are memorable. Inside and outside dining. Fantastic service too.

Had the lamb with yucca and it was simply outstanding. Well prepared and good quality. Robin, our server, was a delight with great attitude. She enjoys making sure you are satisfied with service and food. We come to St. Augustine often and Old City House is a must for us.

There are some other excellent restaurants in St. Augustine (e.g. Collage, Llama, Michael's, Costa Brava et al.), but the Old City House has been our favorite in the 6 years we have lived here. Our most recent experience merely reinforced that opinion. One immediately feels at home in the cozy surroundings and the staff is extremely welcoming. The food is exquisite and perfectly prepared. Their wine list is somewhat limited, but well-chosen. Prices are not cheap, but quite reasonable for such high quality. We also appreciate the free parking immediately adjacent to the Inn. That can be an issue elsewhere in town. We shall definitely be returning!
