Pork Osso Bucco
Braised Pork Shank Served With Roasted Potato and Vegetable of the Day Topped With Mushroom Brandy Pork Reduction
The food - outstanding. The service - delightful. The noise - inside - loud, but we sat outside which was quiet and serene in a beautiful garden. Overall - an enjoyabke experience.
The food was generous and exquisite in taste. We sat comfortably outside away from any other patrons. A canopy was there in case of rain.
Difficult to find for out-of-towners. Courtyard views of power lines and broken doors to service areas wasn’t very nice. Food was wonderful and service was great!
Had a wonderful experience dining at the Old City House during our vacation to St. Augustine. Our server, Sebastian, was fantastic, very attentive, and overall kind. He clearly wanted everyone to have a great dining experience. We started with the escargot which was served uniquely in a small fry pan with at least a dozen snails. It was delicious. We enjoyed the roasted garlic served with the bread as well. For dinner, we had the swordfish special and the rack of lamb. The rack of lamb was out of this world. Best lamb I’ve ever had and a very generous portion. Both dishes were plated beautifully. We will definitely be back next time we’re in St. Augustine!
Great food, great service. Sebastian was fabulous. He made it a very lovely evening.
Wonderful place. Everything was perfect. Will definitely go back when I visit St. Augustine again.
Sat outside and was nice and quiet with excellent service. Food cooked to good temperature.
Food was outstanding! Best crab cakes south of Charleston! Staff are so gracious and I would recommend Old City above other restaurants in the historic district.
Mac is an amazing server, and the food is just so so good
Great service and great food. It was hard to hear each other but that’s to be expected in a relatively small restaurant. Very enjoyable.
The only reason service was not rated 5 stars is because it was literally over an hour later than our reservation by the time we were seated at our table.
All good. Food was fantastic!
We were concerned when there was only 1 other table there and were sat outside (which we requested) where nobody was. However, the food was outstanding. The Rack of Lamb, Pork and Crab Cakes entrees were all amazing. The service was good as well.
Excellent food. Service was extremely good. Prices are on the high side for St Augustine, so it’s more of a occasional dining spot. Outside dining atmosphere is very nice and quiet.
As always, our evening was perfect! We had the lamb chops, cooked to perfection, as well as the pork chop. Topped off with dessert for the birthday girl of creme brulee! The wait staff is always friendly and professional. If you want a special evening out on the town, always consider Old City House!
Second visit there and it was amazing!
The outdoor seating area was lovely, and the fountain made it even more so. My girlfriend and I had out first vacation together and she couldn’t stop talking about the restaurant. She said the beef tenderloin was the best steak she’d ever had and my pork chop was incredible. Our server, Adam, was attentive and funny. We will definitely be going back next time we’re in town. 10/10
Great server Excellent food. Crab cakes were awesome
Superb outdoor dining surrounded by beautiful garden was the highlight of our evening! Looking forward to return visit.
Delicious from start to finish! Old City charm with amazing food. Servers were very friendly and accommodating. The sorbet before the main course was unexpected but delightful. Crab bisque was so good. My steak was tender and cooked perfectly. Husband said the lamb was the best he had in years! As St A residents, this is a gem that we will definitely return to.
Best dining experience I've had in a long time. There was nothing about our experience that was negative. Good and service was stunning! Can't wait to go back!
Amazing meal and exceptional service. We will definitely be back for the tack of lamb!
Went above and beyond for our honeymoon dinner! Amazing food and romantic atmosphere.
This was one of the enjoyable experiences in a long time. The food was fabulous and we felt like family by the time we finished. It was small table dining at its best in a historic place. We will go back.
Everything was great! Only wished they had lowered the lights.
Celebrated the birthday of my better 3/4ths in a wonderfully romantic courtyard. Our server Adam was attentive and based on his attitude likes what he does and who he works for.
Of the two dishes we had it was my partners Osso Bucco that rates highest. Nice presentation and a melt-in-your mouth experience. The Cioppino came up short in the flavor department. Far too mild for me but admittedly it’s a dish I don’t order often but when I do I always think a little heat is a by-product. This was just bland but good.
Needed a respite from the COVID-19 quarantine and decided to return to one of our favorite Saint Augustine restaurants. Found out that one of our great servers, Peggy, had chosen to retire and that Victor would be serving us—he had taken great care of us on Valentine’s Day last year.
Meal was served promptly and correctly in a totally private dining experience (we sat down at 4:45) with a good bottle of sparkling Prosecco on national Prosecco day. Just as we received our tab at 6, several tables filled up.
All servers wore facial masks while we were dining, and we felt quite safe dining there.
The Food here was very good. The Ambiance was lacking though. I would suggest ordering the Chocolate Mousse for dessert as it was delicious.
Was very happy there last December, but service was very slow, food was excellent (but menu items greatly reduced). There was actually more to choose from on the wine list than menu.
Amazing food. 4starts only to the decor. Its a historic place, but it could be more charming. Service was impeccable. We will be back for sure.
Wonderful food! Risotto with the Parmesan chicken was out of this world! My husband polished every morsel of his rack of lamb dish. Great food and service! Perfect for a date night
We love Old City inn, the lamb is the best in town.
We showed up on time for our reservation, but still had to wait about 20 mins after. The great service from the waiter made up for it!
4 of us had appetizers, wine and entree’s to include tuna sashimi, escargot, crab cocktail, lamb, filet mignon and Osso bucco. Could not have been better. Waiter was a bit loud but gave excellent service. We are locals and can’t figure out how me missed this restaurant for many decades. Oy, we will be back!
During the Coronavirus protocols, the Old City House was well prepared. All front side employees were wearing masks and very attentive to cleanliness and details. Ambience was quiet, clean and well appointed! Rain prevented patio dining but the venue looks quite inviting. An escargot appetizer that is worth a trip back just for it. Veal Meatloaf and Beef Tenderloin were very flavorful and well prepared. Doneness of the beef was on point. Wine list is impressive! CAKEBREAD Cabernet!
WELL DONE! See them very soon!
This was a wonderful place to enjoy a quiet dinner. Food was amazing as well as the entirewait staff! Would highly recommend
This place is great, everything they have taste great. Rack of lamb is the best dish there.
Our waiter, Sebastian, was suburb. He made a yummy white sangria for my mom and me! We had a variety of menu options at our table and everything was outstanding. Wait time was short and we never felt rushed. It's very quaint, clean, and delicious!
The food is always excellent, with service that exceeds the norm. Great atmosphere, never rushed, and always put the guest and experience ahead of filling tables. Victor is an excellent server
