The food and the service was wonderful. The ahi tuna with coconut rice was delicious as was the crab, lobster crusted whitefish over a potato croquette.

The four of us agreed that the entire evening was perfect from beginning to end. Our appetizers, salads and entrees and desserts were excellent as was the service. We appreciated the manager coming over to ask about our meals. The weather that evening was beautiful so we enjoyed our meal on the porch ~ even had a glimpse of the gorgeous sunset. A treat for us all!

Great to be able to sit outside on 2/16. Warmer outdoors than in restaurant. Red curry snapper was great and not something u see everywhere

First time at the Captiva House, after hearing good things about it. The decor etc. was very quaint and island-like. Drinks were good, first course (stone clams and lobster bisque) were good. However, our server, Eric, was not attentive at all. He may have had too many tables to tend to, as he was both inside and outside waiting on tables. Seemed he just forgot about us. After the first course, about an hour went by before anything else was brought to the table. And then it was our entree. He totally forgot about our salads, which according to the menu were to be the first course. He took the entrees back, and brought them later. We both had the grouper. My husbands was fine, mine however was not fully cooked and very rubbery. I told him about it when he checked back, and he apologized and later removed my entree from our bill. I just shared my husband's entree. We were there probably two hours, most of that time just waiting on our meal courses. He didn't even apologize for the delay or check back on drink orders etc. We had him box up the dessert, which we had at home. They were good, but nothing to brag about. We were so looking forward to this restaurant on Valentines' Day, but obviously were dissappointed. Not sure if I will come back or not.

Outstanding night. The only 4 Star was due to the temperature opposite the gift shop. Very cold. Air was not in sync with this area. A few tables moved around us as a result!

Probably our 10th visit to Captiva House. Every time we have a great experience with ambience, service and food. Can't wait to go back

Captiva House is a definite "go to" if you are on the West End of Sanibel or on Captiva. The food is solid, the restaurant is quiet and can be romantic. And, after dinner you can stop into the Crows Nest Bar to check out the live music and have an after dinner drink! Good place if you are on vacation or if you are locals like us and have people visiting!
