Old Blinking Light is a neighborhood treasure. It’s a busy place, but service was good. I had a side of roasted Brussels sprout leaves, incredible! Awesome baked beats with goats cheese, sunflower seeds and balsamic. Sometimes it’s hard to find good meals that are vegetarian!

Made a reservation via the Open Table. We were seated as soon as we walked in. When my wife asked for a booth we were told it was reserved for four. We were given a nice table by the inside fireplace. However, about 15 minutes later we glanced at the booth we requested and only two gentlemen were seated and dining! Hmmm!

We are frequent customers at the Blinking Light and very glad that this establishment has regained its liquor license. "Welcome Back".

We ordered a bottle of wine, an appetizer, and two main courses. As customary, from the service to the food all were excellent. We will continue to recommend.

New to the area. Went with family in town. OBL was highly recommended by friends who’ve been there several times. The apps (queso and chips, roasted beets) were good, but not really outstanding. No drinks as liquor license not current!?! My entree was Duck Tacos, which were mediocre and not really a great value at $14. Not much flavor. Wife had the enchiladas and they too were average at best. She left most on her plate. Another at our table had the Chicken with Green Chili pasta. It was a pile of mushy over cooked fettuccine in a flavorless goo. It was disgusting. When we sent it back, we could overhear the cooks in the kitchen daring each other to taste it. One did and he said “That’s Gross, who cooked this!” Loud enough for us to hear. Our poor waitperson was very good but was almost embarrassed to ask us how our food tasted. She did not seem surprised by our response. They did deduct the pasta from our bill, but it is not really a great end to an evening stopping at a fast food place to feed the person who went hungry.
Probably not giving it a second chance, which is a bummer as we live walking distance away.

I love The Old Blinking Light and take guests there often. The cuisine is creative, with veggie and gluten-free options. The booths are big--nice and roomy! Good service, reasonable prices, great atmosphere! They do have outdoor dining, but I have not experienced that.

We celebrated my 60th birthday with my family last Sunday afternoon. We arrived about 30 minutes early and the hostess was nice enough to go ahead and seat us. The waitress was very accommodating and met all our expectations.

OBL asked what the occasion was before we showed up and I told them the only thing we preferred was a small spot for two people as private as possible. They put us at the largest table in the restaurant that seated about 12 or so. Other than that is was a good place to dine.

The service was quick and proportions were large. Unfortunately their liquor license had expired so we couldn’t have a glass of wine.

We went to the Old Blinking Light last night. Yes, I knew they lost their liquor license for some reason, but I chose to give them a chance anyway because I usually like their food! So I had a reservation, not many people were there...yet we had to wait a while to be seated. They seated us at a table under this HORRIBLE bright light that reminded me of the flashbulb of a camera, except it stays on you the entire time! We ordered some small plates to share: Brussel Sprouts, fine but oily. Beets, a little bland since they skimped on goat cheese and seed topping. Mahi Ceviche, not a fan. Ahi Tuna appetizer (which I usually LOVE) was SLIMY. That was so disappointing!! I remember it fresh and clean with mangos & avocados weaved in with the Ahi. The whole thing had a whitish slimy coating. I can’t believe they would serve that!! Was it old? Were they trying to cut costs since they don’t have liquor sales? If they are trying to save money, they are thinking very short term. I can’t imagine myself ever going there again.

Always enjoy this place but it’s always packed too. Definitely need reservations so I use open table whenever I go. Introduced it to my family from Monument this time.
The patio is great in the summer and HH is one of the best in the area. Noise level is somewhat distracting. Servers are usually good but sometimes make me feel rushed. Had the signature stacked enchilada this time and the green chili was way spicy so didn’t particularly care for that but it was still really good. Will continue to go back.

Our hostess was very attentive. The Blinking Light is our go to eatery in Highlands Ranch.
The service is usually excellent and the food is above average.

Nice ambiance but first seated us at a table by a frequently used door. Very windy and annoying. However, they kindly switched us to a nice table upon our request. Service was good. Food just okay.

The restaurant was very busy and their table setup cause us to zig and zag through the restaurant, and then sat us in the corner which was fine. Then we sat and ordered 2 different bottles of wine that they didn't have any more. So 15 minutes later we still had not ordered anything, he did suggest one wine but that was all and seemed put out. So we got up and left.

I really like the duck tacos, yes, there is no misspell: Duck Tacos! I will have them again, no doubt.
Mahimahi ceviche was also very good.

Staff is super friendly, from receptionist, bar tender, waitress and helpers.

Price is right.

Saw the reviews for OBL and decided to try it for myself. The ambiance inside the restaurant was more upscale so it didn't feel like a franchise suburb restaurant. The menu had a lot of choices from soups & salads to burgers, chicken, and steak. I selected the King Ranch w/grilled chicken based on the recommendation of the waitress. My wife had the Cobb salad and butternut bisque soup. The overall experience was good. The service was great and the food was good enough to try again.

Extremely rude hostess and not customer service oriented - in a restaurant with several open tables they wanted to sit us right now to the door and when I asked for a different table she gave us quite a hard time in a rude annoyed manner. We will consider going back, possibly. Still can't get over the hostess.

Busy, happy vibe even on a Tuesday night. The lamb sirloin was okay...the lamb was overwhelmed by a very generous dousing in the mint pesto sauce. House vegetables were cooked perfectly. Caramel apple stack was also okay, but again the apples were overwhelmed by a generous amount of caramel. The caramel became the predominant flavor instead of apple. Maybe whoever was finishing the plates that night was just heavy handed with the sauces. If I'm ever in the area for work again I would try it again.

Another wonderful dinner with friends at OBL. Lots of menu choices and price points, great drink options and great service. It is busy so a reservation is a must on Friday nights. OBL is also nicely decorated. It is pretty loud but not obnoxious.

We were looking for a place that was close to home to take our folks from out of town and found this gem. First, the happy hour drinks were very reasonably priced yet substantial. The food was amazing. The staff was wonderful in spite of our screaming kids. I cannot recommend this place highly enough so check it out.
