Great place with incredible menu. Service is incredible also. Well worth the
Fabulous food for all attending. Best fish and chips I've ever eaten in my 65 years (and I've eaten a lot of them).
Extremely rude hostess and not customer service oriented - in a restaurant with several open tables they wanted to sit us right now to the door and when I asked for a different table she gave us quite a hard time in a rude annoyed manner. We will consider going back, possibly. Still can't get over the hostess.
Busy, happy vibe even on a Tuesday night. The lamb sirloin was okay...the lamb was overwhelmed by a very generous dousing in the mint pesto sauce. House vegetables were cooked perfectly. Caramel apple stack was also okay, but again the apples were overwhelmed by a generous amount of caramel. The caramel became the predominant flavor instead of apple. Maybe whoever was finishing the plates that night was just heavy handed with the sauces. If I'm ever in the area for work again I would try it again.
The entree salads were fabulous!! Good value. They were fresh and great flabor.
Another wonderful dinner with friends at OBL. Lots of menu choices and price points, great drink options and great service. It is busy so a reservation is a must on Friday nights. OBL is also nicely decorated. It is pretty loud but not obnoxious.
It was delicious! Great service too. We had a group of 7 and service was very efficient. We had a wonderful experience.
We were looking for a place that was close to home to take our folks from out of town and found this gem. First, the happy hour drinks were very reasonably priced yet substantial. The food was amazing. The staff was wonderful in spite of our screaming kids. I cannot recommend this place highly enough so check it out.
We had a great time, the food and drink were very good! Can't wait to visit again.
We had a reservation, but were told you don't take reservations once we arrived? Very peculiar.
Service was excellent. I had the Trout, and it was cooked perfectly. Crispy, but not overcooked. Ambiance is lively, but still easy to have a conversation.
Amazing food. Sharing plates were spot on. So many good choices for entrees. Have to come back many times.
We went to the Old Blinking Light last night. Yes, I knew they lost their liquor license for some reason, but I chose to give them a chance anyway because I usually like their food! So I had a reservation, not many people were there...yet we had to wait a while to be seated. They seated us at a table under this HORRIBLE bright light that reminded me of the flashbulb of a camera, except it stays on you the entire time! We ordered some small plates to share: Brussel Sprouts, fine but oily. Beets, a little bland since they skimped on goat cheese and seed topping. Mahi Ceviche, not a fan. Ahi Tuna appetizer (which I usually LOVE) was SLIMY. That was so disappointing!! I remember it fresh and clean with mangos & avocados weaved in with the Ahi. The whole thing had a whitish slimy coating. I can’t believe they would serve that!! Was it old? Were they trying to cut costs since they don’t have liquor sales? If they are trying to save money, they are thinking very short term. I can’t imagine myself ever going there again.
Regardless of what we order, every single selection is delicious! Just tapas/drinks is a perfect meal, but the entree menu is so tempting, you will want to do both!
Great atmoshpere, amazing food, good service! Can't ask for more.
Had a nice meal and a great time.
We were seating as soon as we arrived. Our table server was "Charlie". She was wonderful. We never felt rushed. Our cocktails were excellent and the food was hot and fresh.
This is an excellent neighborhood restaurant that is friendly, fun and boasts a great menu and bar. Service is attentive, friendly and will advise you with the menu that you can rely on. Food is great and I recommend the baby back ribs and substitute the veggie's for the Brussels sprouts. My wife almost always orders the trout.
The food is always fresh and tasty at the old blinking light and the service is fantastic. reservations are definitely recommended as this is a popular spot. we'll be back again for sure.
I keep going back for the lamb and Brussel Sprouts. Best around.
I'm not sure I understand the hype behind this restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the food was pretty good and the service wasn't anything to complain about, but I don't see the draw. We heard nothing but good things before coming here and while most were true, the things we heard seemed very exaggerated. The menu vibe we got from OBL was very in-line with a BJs/Cheesecake Factory type of experience. Lots of options, good food, but certainly not the normal type of elevated dining we expect when booking through Open Table. Additionally, the service was up to par, but majority of the wait-staff was very trashy.
Overall, OBL provided a decent meal and the service was acceptable.
Our server, Danielle, was phenomenal! As a vegetarian, I was happy to see meatless items on the menu. The enchilada casserole and Brussels sprouts were awesome! Great drink menu too.
The Old Blinking Light was recommended to us by a friend for our anniversary dinner. It didn't disappoint! Wonderful drinks, appetizers, and main entrees! The service was wonderful. Definitely worth making a reservation ahead of time so that you don't have to wait long.
Necessary to change our reservation by 15 mins, the change was graciously taken care of without a problem. Thank you
We went for mothers day and tried the brunch. Mimosas were good and only $5! Brunch was ok, id like to try the lunch/dinner menu next time. Service was great!
We were first seated at a table that was broken (literally food would slide off) and then moved to a table directly in the sun with a full view into the kitchen (which was not attractive). When asked to move a second time the waitress was annoyed. We moved to a third table and our new waitress didn't come over for 30 minutes. I ordered a glass of white wine and she brought something sparkling instead. When I said I've never seen wine with bubbles she said she misheard what I ordered. Five minutes later she brought my correct drink, which tasted like half wine half water. At this point we contemplated leaving, but we had a substantial gift card to use. The food was mediocre at best. Service and quality of food was so poor that we would never go back.
We had a good meal with good good service. We were seated promptly upon arrival.
My husband and I love OBL for date nights! Danielle was our server and she was wonderful--very responsive and respectful of our soccer-parent time constraint.
I'm vegetarian and I love the King Ranch Vegetarian Enchiladas. Presentation is absolutely gorgeous and every time I order it, I mentally compare this $14 entrée (enough to take home for lunch the next day) with what we get on a Mexican restaurant spinach or cheese enchilada platter which is usually 12-13 dollars. My husband got the Green Chile/Chicken Fettucine and it was as good as he remembered. Happy hour beverage offerings are great--really good beer choices on the happy hour list and nice wine selections--two tiers at $4 and $6 per glass respectively, for a generous sized glass.
As always fantastic service and great food. As easy pick for nice date night.
Everything was delicious! The enchiladas were a little bit spicy but tasty.
This was my first Lunch experience here. My wife and I have been frequent dinner patrons. Upon arrival my table was readily available. "Charlie" was our table server. I told her that I was waiting for a friend. She had water sent to our table and came over when my guest arrived. She explained some of the menu options.
The food and service were both excellent.
Nice place for lunch.
Good food and variety for a reasonable price! Need reservations on the weekends.
Awful experience. Took over an hour to get our food and 45 mins to get our check. Shane because the food was good. Will never go back because of poor service.
Food and drinks were excellent.
Our reservation was set for 6:45 pm. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. Our server Courtney. We told her that we did not want to be rushed and wanted to enjoy our conversation and dinner. She was very accommodating. My wife loves the Cosmos and my Manhattan was prepared perfectly. The Cesar salad was fresh along well done Duck fries and perfectly cooked burgers.
Great food variety - if you don't know what everyone likes, this is a great place because they have an extensive menu that will appeal to most anyone. Husband wants to go back already! Watch out for the fried brussel sprouts and avocado appetizers - they are much smaller than you would anticipate.
The French fries are great service was good food could be better
Great brunch at OBL - we always walk away happy! And with $5 Mimosas and Bloody Marys - it doesn't get much better than that!
Food was beyond mediocre. Had a dinner salad (can you say white lettuce) and butternut squash soup (tasted like baby food). Wine tasted stale. OLB hasn't changed their menu in years, they are so lucky to have a regular following. Unfortunately, outside of chains there aren't a lot of options in Highlands Ranch. Used to be much better when owned by the Taos company, they had an innovative menu that changed regularly. Now it's just the same and quality is really slipping. We won't be back anytime soon. Used to be regulars. OLB, have a little pride and try serving quality food.
Appetizers, service, and beer selection were great! Entrees were just so-so! It seems like the food quality has slipped a little.
