   A bit of confusion over being seated when a large party thought they had my table and staff didn’t seem to be able to resolve it.

   Ola Oceanfront Bistro offers a stunning oceanfront dining experience with truly excellent food and impeccable service. Our server was attentive, and the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. However, the cocktail program was a significant letdown. Despite trying three different drinks, each was disappointing. This was a shame, as it detracted from what was otherwise a wonderful meal. I would highly recommend Ola for the food and service alone, but strongly suggest sticking to wine or beer if cocktails are part of your plan.

   I ordered the boulabaise which stated on the menu that it had clams, shrimp, lobster and mahi mahi. It included everything but the lobster. The waiter was never around to have a conversation about this until I had finished my meal. They took the item off the bill, but that really didn’t solve the problem.

   Gluten free accommodations were great. Kids meal pizza was very large and delicious.

   I recently dined at the restaurant inside the Vanderbilt Hotel and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The service was underwhelming—our waitress came off as dismissive and had a bit of a smart-aleck attitude, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. My aunt ordered the fish and chips, which turned out to be a disappointment—the fish was far from fresh and lacked flavor. Overall, the food did not meet expectations and didn’t feel worth the price point. The one redeeming part of the evening was the Old Fashioned I ordered—it was well-made and enjoyable. Other than that, I wouldn’t return based on this experience.

   Easter Brunch was FANTASTIC! Usually these holiday menus are a big ripoff unless you can eat a bunch of oysters, crab legs or steaks. Being mostly vegetarian, I was just happy to see in their written menu plenty of options but the surprise was the quality of such food. The croissants were crispy and fresh, the soup delicious and not heavy. Seafood paella, ratatouille, shakshouka, frittata, omelette and stirfry station….we loved the matcha French toasts and the muffins. The beautiful desserts and the taste of everything; top quality. Truly remarkable! Service was on point and constant. Our table was kept clean and ready for a next course. The only thing that was a bit lackluster was the white sangria (not fruity or tasty enough). Can’t wait for the next Holiday menu at Ola!
