OLA at Sanctuary Ratings and Reviews
Booked a reservation 6 weeks in advance for my honeymoon. Called to confirm a few times, but phone menu just offered one option (press 0 to speak to an associate), which only lead to a dead end (“sorry but your selection is invalid”). Went anyway, only to discover the restaurant was shut down. No sign, no notice to me, no note on the website, nothing. Really sad - we were coming here on a really strong recommendation!
Ola is a small restaurant in a motel . The food selections are Latin and very unique and complex. I had tuna- it was on a skewer with several sauces, shrimp and spinach. I had the tostones side, but dong recommend it. My friends enjoyed theceviche and octopus. Service is ok . I think it would be more successful on another location.
Sat outside, very humid however they had fans going. Great restaurant to eat outdoors. Excellent food amazing service. It was a real find. Had the lobster ceviche, Kobe beef meatballs, sugarcane tuna , as well as the Cordova fish. All excellently prepared. Amazing flavours all melted together. Great desserts as well. Pricey, but very worth it. Would definitely recommend this restaurant
Our experience was wonderful. We made our reservation on-line while we were walking. We arrived and were seated right away. We started off with drinks and ceviche (red snapper with a mango sauce and the mixto), our server was informative of the menu items and specials. Our group ordered the red snapper with plantains and peppers, the salmon dish with red quinoa, the stuffed plantain with zucchini topped with a tomato black bean sauce, and the fish of the day (grouper) with mussels and clams. Everything we ordered was delicious and we would definitely come back again.
Every bite of ceviche was full of unique flavors...try several! The empanadas were light yet hearty and absolutely delicious...again, try several. The pork entree was incredible...fall apart, tender goodness. The highlight were the meatballs which melted in your mouth with each bite of decadence. Our server was helpful and attentive but not pushy or in your face. Unique craft cocktail as and a great wine list too. Would definitely recommend when visiting South Beach.
Awesome meal. Delicious food and wonderful attentive service. The meatballs were fanraistic and the pork dish on another level. When I didn't like my sweetness level of the cocktail I ordered the sever replaced it with another at no charge, and was super nice about it. I would eat here again and again.
Since they don't open until 6:30 pm, make a reservation. Most tables were full by 7 including outdoor seating. The menu is varied with great gluten free and paleo friendly options. The servers were attentive and offered opinions on food selections when ask. The meatball appetizer and lobster empanadas were terrific. Our favorite main course was the Pescato de la Macho, the fish of the day served with an amazing sauce and other seafood. Don't miss the deconstructed key lime pie and Da Bomb for desserts. Our meal was expensive but well worth every penny.
Estupendo trato del personal, comida riquísima y precio aunque algo elevado acorde a la comida. Las raciones no son escasas, muy buena presentación.El salmón con panela estaba delicioso. A really good experience!!!! Restaurante muy muy recomendable.
