Okeechobee Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
I really enjoyed all the food but I was given an entrée that I did not order. I ordered the NY Strip Steak with sautéed mushroom and Shrimp Scampi with noodle for myself but they brought me my NY strip Steak and Big Shrimps. My husband surprised me and came to dine with me. I ordered Shrimp Scampi for him but he changed his mind and I ordered NY Strip Steak togo and for them to take the Shrimp Scampi off the order, the waiter said ok because I did not know my husband was coming. Now my husband arrived and I told them to bring my togo order out because my husband arrived;they served us and I saw the Shrimps on my plate but he said they placed the shrimp on your place I said okay thank you. Now when I received my check they changed me for them when I told they were not going to. If it was a mistake it should have been the Shrimp scampi with noodles and I should have received my mushroom sautéed on my steak. This is my complaint but I will be back because the food is good and the service just mistakes were made.
We had a lobster appetizer that was over the top ................two of got the Black & White. I took 1/2 of my filet and 2/3 of my baked potato home. Everything was delicious, including the Ketel One martini and a Pinot Noir that our wonderful waiter, Bill, picked for me. We had a marvelous time and will be back again soon!!! Top drawer again!!!!
Okeechobee steak house never fails to please. From the valets in the parking lot, to the front desk, they make you feel you belong there. The mixologist at the bar really know how to make a proper cocktail. The wait staff goes above and beyond to make your dining experience top notch. The place gets busy so even if you, have a reservation you may have a wait. But the bar staff will help you pass the time. There is plenty of parking in the rear so do not let the crowded front lot deter you.
We went for a Birthday celebration and since we are award members were able to take advantage of their wonderful program. We used open table for reservation and were seated immediately. They have greatly expanded their parking and continue to offer valet parking. Our server, Rich, as well as the rest of the staff that served us was excellent. We had a wonderful Birthday celebration. The noise level does go up as the evening goes on. You enter and the bar is immediately to the right and I had difficulty hearing the hostess for the noise level.
Never a bad meal. Food is always excellent. Staff is phenomenal, very attentive. Perfect place for special occasions...they go above and beyond to make everyone feel like a VIP. Would highly recommend and look forward to going back again soon. 5 star food and service.
We love this place, but this time was not so good. We were very disappointed. The table next to us was dropping the F-bomb over and over which wasn't too fun. Our waitress disappeared for awhile. We've never had this kind of experience here before. It's usually above and beyond - one of our favorite places. Hoping it was just an off night, not the new norm.
The service was outstanding however my steak..the bone in ribeye..which was recommended by our waiter because he said that it had the most flavor...tasted very bland. I expected the steak to be rich in flavor...but it tasted like it had little or no seasoning on it. It did not melt in my mouth like I expected.
The food, specifically the steak, is to die for here. I got the filet mignon with marrow butter and the meat had excellent flavor. My husband got the Delmonico cut. He enjoyed his steak and the way they prepared it. We got two sides, creamed corn and button mushrooms, and both were delicious. The steakhouse unfortunately lost two stars due to their service. We each received salads with our meals and immediately after finishing our salads they brought us our main dish. We had no time to digest the salad. We were given about ten to twelve minutes to eat our main. Our server then approached us and asked us if we needed boxes. I had finished my meal and agreed, but my husband was still eating half of his meal and had a whole drink to finish. The server came to our table and bagged our food there, dropped a plate on my feet with mashed potatoes, and bagged my husband's food that he was still trying to eat. We felt rushed and were disappointed with that service at such a highly lauded restaurant. We made our reservation at 5:30pm to avoid feeling rushed during the restaurant's busy hours. Unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations or the expectations that should be met when you pay $100 per head. We were in and out of the restaurant in one hour. We look forward to returning to Ruth's Chris and trying III Forks.
I hate to give a bad review but I was so disappointed in my meal. The others at our lunch enjoyed their meals but not me. I had th snapper special and it was literally mush. I've never had a fish with that poor texture and it was tasteless I should have stuck with the beef. We also were never r offered bread with the meal. Anyway I will be back for steak.
The general service is very poor and the prices are over rated.
The waiter starts by "shooting" by telling us briefly restaurant's history, speaking very quickly. He seems obliged to speak that history. without any affection or interest.
At any time he asked us about what are we looking for dinning; he only brought a tray full osf different vortes of meat and already indicating what was the suggestion of sauce.
We gave up ! We stayed at the restaurant due my soon hungry!
When serving the wine , he almost finished a whole bottle with only three glasses.
It is not a place I would be back.
