BEST SUHI IN BOSTON VARIETY TASTE AND SERVICE
Thank you for sustaining a great dining experience.
Fantastic dining experience presented by Chef Yen. The food, service, and atmosphere were impeccable. I was extremely impressed by how the restaurant and staff handled the social distancing and how they made the right safety precautions necessary to make our experience so memorable. Thank you!
i've been living in Boston for 4.5 years and that's how long i've been coming to Oishii. I come to Oishii regularly and I love all the food they offer. They also have good music. It is a bit pricy but it's worth it. My go-to order never changes, I tried ordering other things sometimes but never quite liked it. Here's my go-to on the menu: the squid ink pasta, uni pasta, toro truffle roll, and salmon on fire. I also always order the nigiris and the ones that I liked most were: the uni, botan ebi, foeigras truffle, and tenderloin beef. Highly recommended!
Best food in Boston
Fantastic food! We really enjoyed our meal, top notch quality.
Best sushi in Boston. Perfect service.
Very enjoyable experience overall with minor let downs. The Salmon on fire dish was very interesting to look at but average to taste. But everything else was very delicious.
We live oishii, have been many many times. Always consistent and the apps and a la carte sushi are incredible. We love all the makis, but have recently noticed that some other local sushi places have very similar options now for much cheaper - would love to see some new variety at oishii to showcase its true creativity! Loved the Salmon in Love roll this time!! Wagyu burgers are also a favorite!
Thus place wasn’t bad but you can do a lot better for your money.
Overall overpriced and nothing particularly special.
BEST FOOD IN BOSTON!
Great lunch menu
Outstanding sushi in Boston. For years, I thought I would not be able to find outstanding sushi outside New York, Los Angeles, or East Asia. Oishii proved me wrong. Go. Now!
Excellent and creative and reliable. Owner and son now visit each table to make you feel appreciated.
Superb and creative food.
Excellent service. Food came out fast and everything was fantastic.
We did the Cherry Blossom tasting menu. It was truly art. The food, presentation and staff were amazing. For a full dining experience, let the knowledgeable staff give recommendations . This is not your run of the mill sushi place. Each course is crafted with attention to many levels of flavor and texture in each bite. The chef and his son have created an amazing experience that we will remember for years to come.
Excellent quality food .
The serving was slightly disorganized, bringing out everything too fast . Overall experience was still great , I will definitely go back .
The Japanese wagyu are the best. Pricey but Worth the price.
Love this restaurant, the service and the ambiance are always top.
10 out of 10
Fair vibe and atmosphere compared to its counterparts such as pabu, mystique, o ya, pabu, and Kamakura. Poorest atmosphere of the set. Friendly efficient front desk staff. Waitress was really the main problem here. Her English wasn’t refined to understand ANY of the 4 specials. The food took much too long. The wait was so long it was comical. The food was incredible. All of it. Best wagyu I’ve had in Boston and the maki rolls were top notch. A shame we waited so long. I won’t be back. I’ll go to one of the other top notch sushi restaurants in Boston.
The ambience of the restaurant was amazing, however the quality of the sushi and the food was just “okay”. Nothing was worth the price and I would the say their food display was great however that I was it.
You’re coming here to spend money, do it and enjoy everything this place has to offer. Great cocktails, fantastic apps (lobster dumplings / wagyu beef cooked on a hot stone at your table) and fresh fresh fresh sushi. Amongst the best places in Boston !
Great sushi! A bit on the pricey side, but the decorations for valentine’s day and the service was outstanding!
I’ve had sushi in every major city in the US and a few times in Tokyo. Oishii in Boston beats them all every time. Going on almost 3 years trying to find any sushi restaurant anywhere that’s better. Nothing beats it. So good.... adding a 6th star to the review. Can I do that?
Still the best sushi in Boston!
Our server was first rate. So grateful for help with dietary restrictions. Love this place. Food was delicious!
We had a lovely time, as always! The food was delicious and the service was on point. We especially loved the scoop of red bean icecream for our anniversary, very thoughtful. We look forward to many more celebration dinners here, as they never disappoint!
When it comes to Japanese gastronomy, Oishii is among the best here in Boston. Exquisite plates that defy the conventional and enrich your palate.
The ambiance, the architecture fosters a sense of simple and refined elegance. The food is the main attractor. Will be back many, many times. Highly praised and recommended.
Birthday dinner for our 27 year old
food was amazing
We loved it
Oishii is always an enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and our server was wonderful. Thanks again!
Upscale Sushi that takes it to another level. Very creative menu.
This is one of our very favorite sushi restaurants in Boston. It's pricey but excellent food. We've been eating at Oishii for almost 20 years (since the Chestnut Hill days) and it's very special.
Everything was fantastic. When we first got in, we were on the earlier side, so it was a bit quiet. Within an hour the restaurant was packed with all sorts of people, business meetings, dates, etc. and the energy was excellent. Great time overall, per usual. It had been a couple of years since I had been there, but now I want to ensure I go back on a more regular basis!
Amazing food and great service. When I asked our server for recommendations she had concise and delicious suggestions. Can’t wait to return!
The food was so good that I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
Great Sushi! Very good service. The decor of the restaurant needs an update.
Very expensive, dark and the food was not great.
