The food was fabulous. The atmosphere was great. The service was great however I would warn that the only inconvenience is that they won’t split checks.
Food was thoughtful and perfectly prepared. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had.
My second time dining at Oishii did not disappoint. I want to start off by saying this place has a dark and intimate vibe to it (complete with a cool light-up waterfall inside), so I highly suggest this for a date night or special occasion. The menu has seemingly unlimited options of handmade sushi rolls and hot and cold apps, but also a giant menu where you can check off what pieces of sushi or sashimi you want to try. Every item, from the starter miso cod to the melt in your mouth salmon belly, was so fresh and beautifully presented. If you love sushi, please do not hesitate and go eat at Oishii!
Celebration
Good meals and the environment is really nice for dating
Nos dieron la reservación media hora antes de que cierre el restaurante.
Fantastic place. We love sushi and always try to find the best places in every town and this definitely one of the best in Boston.
The “Fire Salmon” is an amazing dish and everyone should try it during their visit.
The service and overall experience was fabulous.
Very good sushi restaurant! Worth of spending because foods are so tasteful!
The only thing missing from this visit to Oishii was Ting San as he was not in the house on Saturday!
Awesome food and presentation!!!!
food was great! High prices but best quality in Boston, I'll surely come back
This is next-level sushi. I noticed the superior quality with every single bite. Price is worth it.
Food was great. Service was so-so but they were very patient when my friends were very late for our reservation (it helped that it wasn't busy). Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.
Service was a little slow once, it’s usually great. Food is spectacular with very creative items always great.
we went during dine out boston week. I ordered Kaisek 3 combo and my friend had the 20 pieces sashimi. Both were great food. Will come back.
The king salmon roll was excellent.
The treasure spoon is a surprise! The uni and oyster are so fresh and taste very sweet. The foie gras sushi is also amazing, as if it is melting in your mouth, definitely would recommend these two, worth trying.
I’ve ordered kaiseki 2 and the food was very good! Especially the seared salmon w ikura and the grilled black cod! However, the spicy tuna salad handroll is too spicy for me. Atmosphere was good. Nice place and awesome food! I really recommend this place!
Wonderful food
Excellent!
Excellent dining experience, delicious food. Crispy mango sushi rolls were amazing.
I was really looking forward to dine at this venue, because my husband dined there the night before we were supposed to go there. I understand that the night of my booking was on March 13th (the snow day), but I reserved for this restaurant and I got confirmation as well. We were party of 4, and we arrived on time. The restaurant was closed and they didn’t even bother to inform us about the closure.
We had to go back to Four seasons hotel and the concierge also tried calling the venue to no avail. We ended up eating at another venue.
The restaurant should have called and informed us, as our reservation was confirmed.
Amazing dining experience all around. The food was delicious!!!
Our best romantic destination in boston. The place you can enjoy culinary heights and sensitive and non intrusive service while being at home with your dinner partner.
highly recommended.
Poorly executed sushi and maki. The balance between the fish and rice is out of proportion and it seems to me that they fuss around too much. For example, their O toro nigiri sushi was topped off with a scallion garnish which got in your teeth while trying to chew it and it was inedible. We went on a Sunday and there was only one server waiting about 5 tables at once so everything was extremely slow.
Most dishes are excellent and very well balanced. Service is nice and accommodating.
Since I moved out of Boston's South End in 2013, Oishii Boston went downhill in every respect except food. The food is still out of this world, just as I remember. The service was atrocious: from having to work hard to attract the attention of our waitress, who condescended to take our order but was acting as though she was really much, much too busy to go over the menu with us; to the maitre d' whose completely unwelcoming demeanor makes one wonder why you would want to employ this unpleasant young man in this capacity. We also had to ask for basic things like water; needless to say, our water glasses were never refilled. The super loud music was extremely annoying (thankfully, the staff turned it down, although we had to ask several times). I don't see myself coming back, even though I loved the food.
Best sushi ever. My husband and I are both sushi lovers and we always have an amazing meal. Love this place!
Always a good time at Oishii
Fresh fish, great service
The food was too salty and the waiter never fills the water until you ask him to. Expected better service and food for the price. I would not recommend this place or would go back. I had better food at a buffet.
Went for my girlfriend's birthday before we went to catch a show. The place was nice and the staff friendly. Got their sashimi sampler, uni pasta, and seafood paella. The paella was a little disappointing, since the seafood was slightly overcooked and overall rather bland. sashimi sampler was a lot bigger than I expected. Uni pasta definitely tasted like sea urchin, though it was hard to find actual pieces of sea urchin, perhaps it was the dim light? or maybe just mixed too much?
Luscious food! Last two times I've visted, the owner came and greeted the table personally. We had a great time, and the great meal I promised my friends did not disappoint at all!
Great fresh sushi and food. Extensive sake menu
I love this place. The food is amazing, service is great and it’s a cool spot. Definitely get the Tokyo mule.
Superb food. The lunch menu is a great way to try small bites if a wide variety of things.
Excellent food and dining experience . Strong recommendation.
Oh Em Gee!!! Do NOT miss the tasting menu.
It was a friend get together occasion. The food was really good beyond my expectation. I really love the Uni sashimi and salmon on fire. For sushi options, I love the foie gras with truffle on top. One of the best sushi I’ve ever had in my life. The only missing point is our seating is at the corner even though I made reservations ahead. The lighting wasn’t so good. But overall I would rate this dining experience five stars
the food is always amazing
