Fresh, vibrant and indulgent food
I'm so glad I booked this spot, in town and met up w my favorite couple, the usual menu and specials were solid, HIGHLY recommend -- and the service is not suffering due to understaffing, like a lot of places. 10/10 would recommend
Every single meal I ate at oiji was outstanding. So flavorful and creative. I will definitely go back again.
Great place, very good service, great outdoor set up, will go back for a special occasion!
Everything was excellent- carefully, delicately crafted food, beverages, and service. We so appreciated the lengths taken for Covid safety on top of everything else. We highly recommend OIJI
Totally unexpected this experience was a total surprise! Best of NYC restaurants if you ask me!
Fine Korean inspired cuisine. An amazing food experience that I didn't expected. The cocktail are as good as the food. Definitely recommend
First visit since the beginning of the pandemic. A few additions to the menu to keep things interesting. As always the execution of the dishes was perfect. The oxtail in substantial broth was done to perfection as the meat fell off the bone easily, even using chop sticks. The thinly sliced Wagu beef, prepared at table with a blow torch, is a new addition that is well worth trying and that I look forward to having again. As always the mushroom salad is a delight as the crunchy salad and outer part of the mushrooms combines with the still soft interiors of the mushrooms all dressed in a classic tangy Korean salad dressing. The surprise of the night was a two lamb chops, very pink and yet tender served with yoghurt wasabi mustard and kimchee. The service was wonderful as I remembered and the (hopefully) late-pandemic crowd of young people gave this older New Yorker a sense of hope for the city and its restaurants. - And yes, do try to keep room for the ice cream and chili honey chips. It's been a tough year. You deserve it.
I am so grateful to the staff, management and owners (and maybe even the landlord) that this restaurant has survived.
Everything was delicious! The outdoor space was warm and inviting and the our server Maxine was a delight!
We sat outside in one of the makeshift private wooden rooms. From the start, the service was amazing. The food that followed was creative and phenomenal. This is my new favorite Korean restaurant. Will definitely be back ❤️! The cauliflower appetizer & sweet shrimp with uni appetizers were heavenly! It was slightly pricy but worth the spurge!
The food tasted so good. I recommend oiji bowl and seafood broth. My husband likes fried chicken most. A little pricey for the amount of food but worth a try.
The food was absolutely divine. Every single dish came out better than before and it started off absolutely incredible with the Korean cauliflower.
Great place!!!
Great food!!!
Great service!!!
Definitely a recommendation
amazing restaurant as usual, one of my favorite place, delicate and delicous food.
Was so great! Private out door booths!
One of the best meals of my life! Cannot wait to return. I wish them all the success. -Maison Sun
A great evening from start (cocktails) to end. We sat outside in a very private booth that felt 100% safe. Service was friendly, helpful, efficient, and the food looked -- and tasted -- fabulous. Don't miss out on the cauliflower; it's a revelation -- coated, fried, set on a honeyed Greek yogurt base and decorated with tasty mustard flowers. The memory makes me want another immediately.
Celebrated daughter’s 18th and she loved everything. We all loved everything. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. At first glance, we didn’t want to touch the dishes because they were so pretty but as soon as spoon/fork/chopstick touched them, it was a free-for-all. Everything was that good. We ordered a lot for our group of four (multiples of some) but there wasn’t a bite left anywhere. Not a garnish, a radish or an edible flower to be seen. Highly recommend...for a special occasion, a date or just by yourself. But try not to go alone. You can’t order as much as you like.
Food is good but pricy overall. Left hungry. For the price I think we could’ve been to a nicer place. Drink was average and nothing special.
Great service, delicious food, safe distance between tables
Both food and service was amazing. Each dish was very well made and I could tell lots of thoughts and dedication was put into each dish.
The food is AMAZING. Service was very attentive and helpful with ordering. The outdoor seating is adorable. Overall, had a great experience and will go again.
A little expensive and the Korean traditional theme was not quite distinguished
Brought my partner here for his birthday celebration, we were blown away by all of the dishes we ordered. So delicious and love the more casual atmosphere even though the food is a quality level of fancy prix fixe meals. Will definitely be coming back!
fantastic food as usual. We came back for amazing mushroom salad n the scallop and the fried chicken. lOVE EVERY DISHES.
We never mentioned it, but we went for our anniversary. It’s our second time and it was just as special as the first. We loved the kind service and excitement behind the food from staff that we couldn’t help but feel the same. The food speaks for itself. It was delicious and we talk about it between us all the time and suggest Oiji to friends. Can’t wait for the next time we can pop in!
Great outdoor dining setup, felt super safe and comfortable the whole time. Amazing food
Best Contemporary Korean cuisine EVER!!! Loved all the dishes...especially the oxtail and duck. Definitely going back to try other dishes on the menu!!
Delicious food and safe, warm private outdoor dining experience. Friendly service.
Delicious! Everything was perfect! The food was so good!
The dessert is a must!
Came on Valentine’s Day for dinner and enjoyed the service and exceptional food. I would definitely come back and try out their regular menu
We had a prefixed valentine's dinner menu. Everything was great from the appetizer to dessert. Our favorite was oiji bowl. Wish they had a small portion al la carte menu for kids though.
Will definitely visit again!
Amazing food, great service. Really great date night spot
Great food and very safety-conscious. Will definitely be going back!
Was our friend’s bday and we could not have chosen a better restaurant to celebrate! We had our own private space with ventilator, the staff was incredible accommodating and made great recommendations! We enjoyed all the plates we ordered... and the evening was so incredibly special (Covid could not damper our spirits)!!
Most incredible meal of my life. Lovely service, creative food, wonderful atmosphere. Dining doesn't get better than this.
It was great, the food is great and the atmosphere was amazing
Food was absolutely amazing. The truffle seafood broth and wagyu beef were our favorites. The small rooms they have built kept us warm on one of the coldest nights of the year. The plexiglass started to break a bit from the high winds but they were very apologetic about it and did their best to fix it right away. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who misses going out for a nice dinner.
So impressed with their private cabins. They've gone out of their way to address protocols while creating an intimate setting. It's why we decided to go and we weren't disappointed. And of course, the food is beautifully plated and amazing flavors.
