Oh' Brian's On The Green Ratings and Reviews
Was there for an Easter Sunday Celebration....and made the reservation 2 weeks prior...apparently they wanted a "re-confirmation" that we were coming, but we never got that phone call....we were a small party of 5 that were delayed 10 minutes at an Easter Sunday Church service and because we were 10 minutes late they made us sit outside in a very windy, noisy veranda....DESPITE THE FACT that there was PLENTY of inside seating which is what we had requested.... and a party of 5 is VERY easy to accommodate. There were many INSIDE tables available....but the excuse was that if any other reservation showed up that we would be "taking their space" (!!!!) They promised if any of the 1:30 reservations did not show up that they would "allow" us to come back inside (they NEVER did, even though there were PLENTY of inside open tables throughout the time we were there....we CHECKED). This place is OVER-PRICED, extremely UNFRIENDLY and absolutely the LAST time we will ever go there. I guess they are not hurting for the $160.00 tab that we put down that day to give service, a smile and......perhaps an inside table.
They keep changing the menu, and it's frustrating to go with the intention of ordering something to find it's no longer on the menu. I'm quite bored with this restaurant now. They changed the decor (and I don't like it), and with the menu always changing, I'm not enthused with Oh'Brians anymore. It's good, but just not as good as it was in the past.
We were looking for a brunch place on Sunday and stumbled across this place on OpenTable. We were all swayed by the 'grilled pineapple french toast' on the menu on opentable so we went to give it a try. Sadly to start, no grilled pineapple french toast. There was only one waitress for the entire place it seemed so service was quite slow. The food itself was OK -- two people got french toast with strawberries and chocolate whip cream which they really liked. I got the belgium waffles which were OK, nothing special but was a large portion. our 4th party member got the breakfast burrito, which didn't come with any salsa as mentioned on the menu so he found it quite bland. My husband ordered a coffee which took about 10 minutes to get and the waitress said she'd be back with milk which we never got. We ordered one side of bacon and one side of the potatoes with pork roll and cheese. We got served (and charged) for two sides of bacon and when we inquired about the potatoes we ordered, the waitress brought them out a few minutes later-- but they were just potatoes -- missing everything they were supposed to be covered with (and what would've made up the $8 value in them). While the french toast was good from what we tasted, everything else left a pretty sour taste from the menu items not including much of they said they would and the poor service I don't think we'll find ourselves returning anytime soon.
We usually get wonderful service at this place. but for some reason it took a really long time to take our order and also to get our drinks.. I would understand this on a sunday nite if the bar was croweded but there really werent any people there. As I said before the food was great and really enjoy it there but the service this time was not good...
Frequently go to Oh' Brian's with our kids. it is EXTREMELY kid friendly with many options for them for food as well as an attached miniature golf course. They do have occasional live music which can be overwhelming and will quickly drown out conversation. The food is always well prepared and they do offer specials which can vary. Pricing is very reasonable. Both the bar and the restaurant do get very busy which can cause delays in service. This will definitely remain one of our favorites to go to with the children.
The food was better than I expected for bar-type fare. We had pierogies and mushrooms for starters and they were fantastic! I had fish and chips which were authentic. There were four big pieces of batter dipped cod and a basket of chips. My wife had mac and cheese which was enough for two meals. Definitely would recommend this place.
On a golf course, the window views are of the waterfalls in the miniature golf section which is great family fun. In addition to the restaurant, you can order pizza, too. We went for brunch. The menu was small but with interesting combos such as French Toast with pineapple. The heuvos rancheros though had almost no salsa on them. Not very spicy. The third dish we ordered was corned beef hash and was much enjoyed. It was quite noisy once the football fans got there so it is not a place for quiet conversation. It's really a sports bar with a large selection of beers.
Everyone was wonderful except for our waitress. She took our appetizer order. After about 25 min came and said they were out of fondue. So my friend who ordered the fondue ended up getting a salad since we already had our appetizers. We ordered a pitcher of sangria but was served with no glasses. After waiting a long time we stuck straws in the pitcher. Finally flagged down a different waiter who brought us beer glasses. Then he came back with wine glasses. All this time our waitress never came to the table. Then we order a flight of beer and waitress comes back that they are out of a few that we ordered. It really was not that crowded.
Server was pleasant but food delivery was very slow. Did not seem to be as clean as in the past. "Clean" plates put on table still had small pieces of food caked on them that hadn't come off during cleaning. Fish was very watery for some reason. It must have been an "off night" in the kitchen as have not had a problem in the past. They have a great beer list.
With how often this place had turned over in the last I didn't know what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were good and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the Spicy Pineapple burger! They even actually cook the burgers to the doneness you request unlike almost everywhere else. Can't wait to go back.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I went for their brunch, but I would like to go back for lunch and also dinner. Their pizzas look very good. The beer selection was also great with some local breweries represented. My favorite was the Rinn Duin Ichabod's Return Brown Ale that they had on tap!
The apps were tasty, pierogies and grilled wings. The entrees were on both sides of the spectrum: shepard's pie was a nice pick, but the same cannot be said for the fish and chips. The cod was cooked nicely, but the batter and tartar sauce was absolutely bland. I'd give it another shot, but stay away from the fish and chips!
The draft beers were on point, I'm guessing they clean the lines regularly.
The server was very nice and attentive, even if she didn't know much about her beer selection.
I've gone to this restaurant several times and this by far was my worst experience! The food and atmosphere were good. It was more the service. Our server kept on coming to our table to ask if we needed anything, every 7-10 mins throught the entier evening! He asked how things were and if we needed something about 3 times during our appetizer course and possibly 4 or more times during our main course!! Whilst I appreciate attentive service, this was pestering. Our conversations were constantly being interrupted and as a group of mothers at dinner, we wanted the opportunity to chat without our kids interupting us, instead we had this server. Then when it was time to pay the check, we all figured out what we owed with tax and tip and he refused to run each of our cards for that total amount. Instead he asked us to figure out what we owed and then add tax and tip later! So we did that, then he informed us we came up short by $15! Long story short, this went on for about 25 mins!! Who knew that paying a check would be such an involved process and one that required the customer to do all the calculations! This was so ridiculous that I left with a bad taste in my mouth about this place.
but it is a cute little find, we sat outside, which was very nice. I'd recommend, the drink list was decent, the food was fairly good for the price point.
The kitchen didn't get my order correct, but still, the food was decent. I'd definitely go back here for a change of pace :)
