There was a mouse scurrying across the floor. The staff acted pretty non-chalant about it. This was after we had already eaten and paid. We were all disgusted and left immediately.

Despite living in the neighborhood and frequenting clubs nearby, this was my first visit to Ofrenda, and I was pleased with the food and friendly service. The noise level, however, is extremely high; it was so loud that it was difficult to hear my dinner partner over the din. Many New York restaurants are noisy, but this was one of the noisiest I've ever been to. I'd go back for the food, but probably only with a large crowd planning to drink and ready to shout at each other during the meal to be heard.

Ofrenda never disappoints! Happy Hour is a real treat with great deals on the stellar margaritas and tacos. The guacamole is amazing and the tortilla chips are always fresh. I love this place!

We LOVE Ofrenda! The food is outstanding, and the Happy Hour deals are unbelievable. Go before 7:00 for the great prices on both drinks and food and you will not be disappointed.

The staff at Ofrenda are amazing! From the hostess that always tries to accommodate last minute changes to our server who had margaritas in our hands and watched to ensure everyone was enjoying the meal. The Fish Tacos are amazing as are the Margaritas. I would highly recommend this neighborhood Gem

Disappointed.

This was my second trip - last time was decent.

Good was lackluster and uninspired. Service was awkward. A pregnant friend felt underserved by the menu.

Food was all ok but nothing to write home about. And a Cheque north of 200$ for 4, for such standard fare, almost insulting.

Never again

Ofrenda was a deep pleasure. Complete from the best guacamole we've ever had (and we have a ton of it) to a sensational jalapeño margarita to 3 well-balanced, seasoned entrees (Enchiladas Verdes and the octopus dish were especially outstanding) to attentive, caring service, it was a 5-star night from start to finish for a very reasonable cost. Can't wait to return!

Hostess was so unprofessional and rude. We arrived slightly before 6 pm on Saturday, so she gave us happy hour menu. At 6 pm we requested to the waiter the dinner menu, which he kindly gave us. The hostess came and just snatched the menu from our hands, saying "We don't serve that menu " (not a "I apologize but....", nada... just snatched it out from behind). We asked for the check because we just wanted to have dinner, not only drinks and guacamole. However the waiter then told us that they DID serve dinner menu. So they had a small discussion where bar tender, kitchen guys and waiters told the hostess that they DID serve diner. Hostess did not even come back to offer an apology, she just laughed, while the waiter brought back the dinner menu.
Food was good though. We had octopus which was very soft and queso fundido with huitlacoche was also good.

Great spot for cocktails and small bites. Even if you go to happy hour do not limit yourself to just the specially priced margs. Definitely try a cocktail off their regular menu. A little more expensive but very well worth it.

:( Ofrenda me decepciono - it was very disappointing. This was my first and will be my last time dining here. This is clearly a neglected restaurant. How it got a Michelin recommendation is beyond me. It does not deserve any positive accolade and has only room for improvement in every category. The acoustics are horrible, even on a not too busy night, my friend I had to scream over each other (we are in our 30s). The waiter didn't come by once during the meal to check-in on us. Had he bothered to ask how the food was, I would have told him that I make better watermelon salads at home on a weeknight. In my sleep. Blindfolded. At the corner deli... The salad was not properly dressed. Some parts had no dressing. How can you mess up a watermelon and feta salad?? For the entree, I got the Chile Rellenos with quinoa. It was fine but nothing special. The side salad that came with it was inedible, it was overloaded with salt and something pickled or vinegar. I asked my friend to try it, and she agreed. Inedible. The only person even remotely interested in how our food was was the runner, who I asked to pass on the message to the chef so that they could hopefully not ruin other people's dinners too. Ofrenda owners if you are reading this, you are ruining your restaurant. Ofrenda desperately needs your attention to get things back on track. :(

So, so deliscious. Fish tacos are the best. Fresh white fish with perfect complement of sauces and cabbage. We dined for the second time this month and it was just as good as the first time. I recommend the cerviche tostada -- very fresh and tasty. The place is so popular that the noise level becomes overwhelmingly loud. But that is to be expected because all are enjoying it so much. It is a fantastic place to meet friends, enjoy some drinks and tacos. The restaurant is always attentive to reservations which is very much appreciated.

The service is good, but the food was not. She ordered the enchilada (too salty) and I ordered the octopus (hard cause it was overcooked). This place is best for ordering drinks and not food. The drinks menu had like 8 pages. The food menu had just one page. Speaking of drinks, I had the Mexican Mafia. it was good, but the glass was small with six large six cubes. I finished the drink after eight small sips. What a rip-off.

I trekked from UES to this spot and it was totally worth it! The food was delicious. I don't usually order something as basic as a quesadilla in a higher end Mexican restaurant but, after having the totally yummy guacamole and super tasty tacos, we decided to give it a try. Flavors were exceptional as was the salsa verde. Most impressive was the chicken in mole with truly complex flavors and delicious seasoning. Also, have to give a shout out to the spicy carrot margarita. Fabulous and very unique! My only sadness is we were too stuffed for dessert. And btw, if you're a mezcal fan their list is endless! Mmmm.

Above average Mexican food, with unique flavors and ingredients. Fresh, strong, delicious margaritas. Would go back for the food & drinks. However, seating inside is way too loud - unable to have a conversation. Also, service was poor. We waited 1 hour for our salad appetizer, and then they brought out the wrong entree.

What a great neighborhood gem! The staff was terrific. Everyone from the hostess who was relaxed about our tardiness to the waitress that allowed us to focus on margaritas before thinking about ordering food.
The Strip Steak, Shrimp Tacos were especially tasty as was the guacamole made to order.
Highly recommend!

As a vegan, my options were very limited. I asked them to remove the egg and cheese from a dish and to add more black beans and vegetables. The waiter gave me a hard time. He reminded me that there were in fact no vegetables on the entire menu, which is pretty crazy. They gave me what I ordered but didn't add more beans and charged me the same amount as if I'd gotten the original meal. I will say that what they made tasted very good and that my friends meals were also very good.

Busy place and so fun from that point of view. Had cheese quesadilla to begin. The dish was cold and not appetizing. Despite the busy nature of the place, service was fine. Better for drinks and to be in a noisy, young crowd. Eat before you get there. Reservations are key.
