Amazing overall experience- food was superb . Scallop special was delicious- roasted oysters were perfectly prepared
Special dinner for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Food was delicious. Prices were high but expected. Onion soup was the best I have ever had!
Bill was our server and he was attentive, helpful and insightful. Our food came out in a timely fashion and was prepared perfectly. The quality and presentation of your oysters is top notch. Will be back again for sure!
We had an amazing meal for my sons 16th Birthday. Our waiter was fantastic! And the desserts were so delicious! Thank you Off The Hook!
Consistently great food, always fresh, best seafood in Pittsburgh!
Food was excellent as always and service was great
We had an out of town guest and decided to go someplace special. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. This was our second dinner at this restaurant. I ordered a Chardonnay by the glass and they informed me that my choice was not available so they brought me another to taste. It was warm. Chardonnay should be served chilled so I had to wait 15 minutes for them to chill it. The server gave a me a bit of an argument about having to chill it. The Maître d' stopped by to apologize for the wait. I ordered a grilled swordfish that had spicy peppers, onions, etc. on top of it. I did not like the taste, but agreed to eat only the fish. The Maître d' stopped by again to ask how we liked our meals and since he asked, I explained my dissatisfaction. He said "that is my favorite dish" and walked away. Neither he nor our server asked if I wanted something else. The other two meals were fine. Three people, two appetizers, three glasses of wine, three entree's and two deserts. Total bill was $ 244, include the tip and the total was $288. At $ 96 per person I would expect better treatment from the Server and the Maître d'. We will not return to Off The Hook. I do not recommend this restaurant when they treated me poorly in a well known high end restaurant.
Everything was excellent- the ambience, the service , and the food! We loved our experience!
Yes but will note my observations. The cooked seafood looked very delicious. However, the standard medium rare left it too undercooked for my tastes. I had scallops and my husband had Chilean sea bass. Both could have been cite cooked a little longer. The dessert sampler was very eye catching but the mousses (chocolate and some other color) were bland and the creme brulee custard was thicker than i've experienced but flavorful. I would come again, but would asked that my cooked seafood be more medium well. The fresh oysters were memorable they made me smile and house hot sauce is a keeper.
The meal was wonderful but it was difficult to carry on a conversation with my guests because the restaurant was very noisy. It would be perfect if the noise level/acoustics could be addressed
As always “Off the Hook” makes every get together feel like a special occasion
Everything about this place is on point
We've been going to Off the Hook for special occasions since it opened. Just went for an anniversary. Food is still consistently excellent across the board. Prices have gone up a lot since our last visit. We used to pay about $100 for 2. Now it's more like $200, even with a complimentary dessert! Drinks prices are outrageous. Still, worth it for the excellence of the food. We were disappointed with our service on this recent visit. Took an inordinately long time to get our entrees and dessert. Not as polished or attentive as usual.
We always have a delicious meal at OTH. The bartender was so nice and helpful. Love the ambiance.
This was our first experience at Off The Hook and we loved it! The atmosphere is perfect, just the right amount of seats, low music in the background, perfect lighting as well. My boyfriend is very particular when it involves dining out and he thoroughly enjoyed his dinner and I also loved the scallops I ordered. Our server, Lanken, I hope I spelled her name correctly, was very knowledgeable about the food and was so friendly and personal! We will definitely put this wonderful restaurant on our list to visit again very soon!
We took a table in the bar area. We love the casual atmosphere. Our waitress was personable and very knowledgeable. We’re never disappointed here!
Great food and service. Will return !
My husband and I love this restaurant. The service was awesome and the food was tasty. Cannot wait for our next visit.
Our waiter (sorry forgot his name) was great! Overall service was excellent. We celebrated my son's birthday and it was a wonderful evening. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.
Everything about our dinner experience was excellent. Well worth the 45 min drive from Fox Chapel. Our waiter “Ziggy” was the best and we would request him next visit.
Very good food, small portions for a high price, not a good value, I was hungry when I left, good service and ambiance.
The food is excellent. The oysters are fresh and amazing as always. Great place to have a family meal or night out with your spouse.
Took 6 people for my father in laws birthday. Everyone enjoyed it. Will definitely be back!
The service was great, but I expected a "wow experience" for the price. Perhaps I'm just not made for such a high class restaurant.
Our meal was no less than excellent. We both chose the special of sea scallops with pork belly, fingerling potatoes and brussell sprouts. The scallops were probably the best I've ever tasted. The pork belly was juicy and flavorful.
The only negative was that we were seated next to a couple who everyone who worked at the restaurant knew and they all kept visiting with these people and their conversations got loud and was at times a detractor from the ambiance.
Make a reservation and plan on spending an hour and a half of fine dining.
Always a reliable meal. Excellent selection of fish with great preparation
This was my first time at Off The Hook. The restaurant was packed on a cold and rainy Thursday evening but we were seated promptly at our reservation time. Menu is exceptional, service is exceptional, food preparation and presentation exceptional — but be prepared to spend a lot of money! The minimum you can get away with is $100 for two with NO apps or alcohol. Having said that, it was SO good that I will definitely be back and highly recommend.
Always great. Service is very professional. Food is terrific.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in the North Hills — or all of Pittsburgh,. Consistently excellent food. I love the Ahi tuna and the crab cakes, and honestly have never had a bad meal there. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Service is consistently ;good and the total experience brings us back over and over.
I've been here 4 times now, and have tried something different each time. I truly enjoyed each dish. The scallops were my favorite. The pumpkin late dessert was AMAZING! I would go just to get that!
You could improve the experience with Moscato wine. Serve it as a regular wine and not dessert. It is a sweet white wine. It doesnt need a kids glass and overcharged
Food was excellent all the way around. Service was outstanding. Off the Hook exceeded our high standards.
This was our second time to Off The Hook. The food was beyond amazing and cooked just right. The service was excellent. I cannot wait to go back. Worth every penny. And the food they give, you will have left overs.
Came to off the hook for our anniversary dinner and we loved it. I got the sea bass with zucchini noodles and my husband got the crab cakes. Service and food was wonderful!
My husband and I always have a wonderful experience when we dine at Off the Hook. Their seafood is always fresh and delicious. Their strawberry, parmesan, and pistachio preparations are outstanding. Their cajun could be a little spicier, but, still very good. Even though I get all meats and seafood prepared medium well done, I love their ichiban skewers! We were able to get the seasonal pumpkin spice latte dessert; it is amazing.
First visit, Fabulous experience! It will not be long before we enjoy a meal there again! Mussels appetizer, Scallops for my entree with brussel sprouts and lobster mashed potatoes! Delicious!!!
Our waiter was incredible. He never stuttered once while reciting all the chiefs specials. The food was out of this world. Recommend this restaurant to everybody.
Excellent, one of our favorites !
Wonderful as always. Food is amazing! We love this place!!!
