Not inexpensive but worth it for the quality of food and overall experience. Server recommended a preparation for my dish that wasn't on the menu which was delicious.
all the food was awesome and the service was great
The food was amazingly good. I only gave a medium value score because this restaurant is pricey so if you are looking for value price this isn't it. The seafood is flown in fresh daily and is worth the money. Also, if you love dessert like I do, they have a pastry chef, and the desserts are made on premise not frozen run of the mill.
Nice spot for lunch- varied menu with many varieties of fish prepared in a multitude of ways. Wine by the glass list is quite extensive. We will be back!
Our server Kevin was excellent! Enjoyed our first visit to Off the Hook and plan to return in the future.
Arguably the best meal our whole group ever had. Everything I ate was something I would order again!
Quite a gem! We were worried about the location in a strip-mall, but the interior was chic, and the food was superb! We will definately be back. (the crab cakes are amazing!)
Service was excellent!
Clam chowder and French onion soup were excellent
Sea Bass was excellent
Sea Scallops were under seasoned (not seasoned at all) and the Peruvian purple potatoes were puréed and would have been better roasted the spinach was too much - 2 vegetables that had too much haste and very bland scallops made for an unbalanced dish.
The Bourbon Creme Brûlée was bland. No taste of bourbon - sugar was charred and custard was slightly over done.
Overall the meal did not live up to my expectations based on previous meals at OTH - we’ll give it another try.
Relaxing, romantic atmosphere. Delicious specialty drinks , food was phenomenal. Complimentary birthday dessert. We Will definitely be back.
Off the Hook is reliably excellent in all respects. It’s so good that it’s too busy for a relaxing weekend dinner, so it’s a better experience on a weekday.
My only comment is it seems the Maces Bay salad has been reduced in size. It used to be more salad. I also get the combination platter as my dinner almost weekly. This week seemed to have a much smaller crab cake. Otherwise the food is amazing and consistent every week.
Excellent food and service. The food and wine is expensive, but worth the price!
Everything was fabulous, from the host to the server and the meal. Thank you.
Awesome food and service
Great food and great service. Attention to detail is amazing.
We had a late reservation and, unfortunately, most of the fish entrees were not available (sold out). They get fresh fish daily so keep this in mind when booking a reservation.
Ordered crab stuffed shrimp from the entree section for $32 only got 4. It wasn’t even enough for an appetizer. We had to go out to eat afterwards and they weren’t any better than they would’ve been anywhere else. My wife got a $45 Chilean seabass. She liked it. Wouldn’t go back tho.
Fabulous dinner just my husband and I dining room was a little noisy but it was a Friday night. I think I like the vibe in the bar/patio area a little bit better for us for next visit service was outstanding
We visit every year for our anniversary!! We had 2 other first time couples with us and they were floored!!! Best food, service, ambiance—- everything is always perfect!!!! Great job!! Thank you for another great visit!!
Celebrating my brothers birthday. Perfect meal, wonderful service. Fantastic night!
Our go to place for celebrating! The oysters are excellent. I always get the shrimp cocktail because of the excitement watching the waiter bring it across the room smoking from dry ice! The ichiban appetizer is what I recommend trying if you never had it. Fantastic morsels of assorted fish. "Bill" our waiter - took care of us - he was very good.
Food was excellent. Took a long time to get our check
You simply must try. Stellar everything! Can't wait to go back.
We had a great waiter, and since I had mentioned it was my husbands birthday they kindly acknowledge him and offered him desert, which they brought with a simple candle. It was very nicely handled, everything was great! One minor note of improvement....The sole almandine was a bit overcooked and served unaccompanied on the plate. Since my husband's dish came with sides I did not order any additional ala carte sides since they are large and meant to share. It would be nice if all entrees had some kind of embellishment on the plate...a little green and starch please!
This was our second "special occasion" dinner in the past 6 months.
Both were excellent and handled perfectly.
Complimentary dessert was a nice touch.
It was awesome as usual
I have date night with my granddaughter every month. This is one of her favorite restaurants. We had a great time and the service was excellent.
Our go-to place for an enjoyable night out for dinner! The service is always good! The fish is always fresh!! The food is always well prepared!!!
Sea Bass was a bit buttery a made me a little sick at the stomach. Otherwise it was well prepared and in a delicious broth. My wife really liked the macadamia nut fish. The Mediterranean salad was interested and I would recommend for something new to try. We ordered sparkling water and after that had to flag folks down for just normal water. I still left thirsty but overall is was a nice evening. Bread was tasty and the banana bread pudding is highly recommended. Meal did come to $165 before tip so for what you got, it is expensive. That was with a free dessert which was nice of them to do for us.
I highly recommend this restaurant. Our dinners (crab cakes for me and tuna for my hubby) were excellent and because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, we were treated to a dessert, on the house; we chose carrot cake, which was delicious.
This was our second visit to Off the Hook and it was once again a perfect meal. From initial greeting, to server, to food presentation and most important the meals were absolutely delicious. Can not wait for our next visit.
This restaurant is top notch and worth the higher than average price point. We will be back many times in the future for sure.
Beautiful Ambiance, Delicious Cusine, Great Staff. Can't wait to go back!
We had an outstanding dinner. Service is probably the BEST I ever had. Food was beyond excellent
We made reservations for 3:00 p.m. figuring we would be the last lunch reservation and head over to the bar for happy hour... only they don’t accept reservations for 3.. so we got there were placed immediately at the bar.. from there things were ok.. except people were literally coming up and asking us for our table the rest of the night... so overall felt like I went to McDonalds.
This was our first time at Off The Hook. We went for a late lunch. The service was excellent and the food very good.
As return customers with a reservation, we were puzzled that the main hostess had us stand and wait for more than five minutes rather than seating us at one of the at least seven tables open. While we stood waiting, she wrote out pink post it notes and instructed the other hostess to have other tables cleared for us. Did not feel very welcomed .
Great selection of fresh fish prepared in your choice of methods. Great raw bar selection. I had tuna and my wife had salmon. Very good. We will return.
We thought our oyster po-boy and lobster roll were outstanding and the service was excellent.
Love OTH and go there often. The fish is always fresh and well prepared. The wait staff is helpful, attentive and friendly without being obtrusive.
Their hollandaise sauce is terrible, though.
