Off The Hook Ratings and Reviews
Food was amazing. I was surprised that the quinoa under the fish was served cold. I requested they heat it. Service was very attentive. Food is pricey as everything is a la carte. Happy hour probing was great on wine. Can get full menu in the bar. Would have been better off with bar apps and then dinner. Not for the faint of heart on price but worth the spend on occasion.
Favorite restaurant (main dining room ) for special occasions, fresh seafood, imaginative selections, prompt and professional service. Always a treat. However the past two times we opted for the bar menu during Happy Hour and both times had tasty dishes too. Fresh oysters, several different types, lump crab cake that was a meal in itself, and even their chicken wings were hearty and delicious. So now it's more to me than just a special occasion place to dine!
The restaurant has great atmosphere. It came highly recommended so we were excited to finally get to try it. The combination appetizer we started with was outstanding. Our entrees were good, but not the standard we were expecting. I ordered the halibut special and the butternut squash, roasted broccolini and pecan-crusted topping were all very good, but the fish itself was rather dry. My husband ordered the crab-stuffed shrimp and said it was good but not outstanding.
It's a very nice restaurant, would probably go back but would try something else; or get the combination appetizer as a main entree.
we were seated promptly at a nice booth in the dining area. Our server immediately came over, took our drink order, and explained the dinner specials. However, as the meal progressed, service became somewhat spotty.
The food was good - as always. But I feel there are less expensive options that are just as good.
We will certainly be going back - but not as frequently as we would like. Again, I feel Off the Hook is pricey.
We came to Off the Hook for our first wedding anniversary. Our waiter, Kevin, was very kind and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely delicious and very fresh. We had calamari for an appetizer and it was cooked perfectly. For our entrees we had the swordfish Oscar and the mako shark prepared southern style and shared the lobster whipped potatoes. Both cuts of fish were incredible & the lobster whipped potatoes were amazing as well! The desserts were also delicious. Not only was the food amazing, but the presentation of it was beautiful as well. We can't wait to come back!
Took my wife here for our anniversary dinner. Food was very good. Pre-dinner cocktails were tasty. Our server Stephen was fantastic. A bit on the pricey side but that was expected going in, so no surprises. Dessert was on the house for the occasion, which was unexpected but very nice. Great spot for a night out with your significant other. Highly recommended for such occasions and I can see us going back in the future.
Latest visit to Off the Hook was a delightful experience. Food is always above par and, while expensive, worth the money. Flavor and presentation, along with wonderful service made for a lovely dinner and evening with friends.
We arrived 10 minutes early and were asked to wait in the bar which was full with no seating available. One of our party had a walking cast and the staff immediately brought in chairs and we were seated. No table but off our feet! When we were called to our table it was 15 minutes past our reservation time and Lisa, one of the owners , provided a complimentary appetizer plate to share while apologizing for the delay.
This is probably my favorite special occasion restaurant. They fly in their fish every day so you know it's always the best fresh selection. The chefs specials are always really creative and intriguing. I always have a hard time deciding which fish special to get. I am not an oyster fan but my BF is - according to him they offer top notch fresh oysters. They also have their own in-house pastry chef that makes the most delicious decadent treats if you have room. I recently enjoyed the warm pumpkin cheesecake latte and carrot cake dessert -both true treats. I've been lucky enough to dine here over five times and have never been disappointed. The service is amazing as well.
Had a reservation for esrly Friday evening. Had an absolutely wonderful birthday dinner! My husband and I each had one of the featured entrees, I had halibut, my husband had the mahi mahi. Also had the asparagus and clam chowder. The food was excellent, also had a bottle of wine. The service could not have been better! Wonderful experience, will be back!
I've been here three times, and have always had great food and service. The food was prepared perfectly, as always. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Dinners are a bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. Lunch is cheaper, but there are fewer selections (still plenty to choose from, though). Highly recommend.
30th Anniversary Dinner. We enjoyed, our food, our server and the care from staff to ensure our meal was prepared with the utmost safeguards for a severe nut allergy. We appreciated the care from manager to address the steps of food prep, so we could focus on our anniversary celebration.
Thanks Off The Hook!
Spent our 4th wedding anniversary there this year. Our waiter Mike made it extra special by throwing in a Pumpkin Latte dessert on the House at the end of the night. Blue Point Oysters and Pecan Halibut were a real treat. Service was exquisite. Can honestly say I’ve never have been disappointed here and will continue to come back.
