Great food in a very theatre friendly location. We had Shepherds pie which tasted fantastic & huge portions. Great selection of beers. All round thoroughly recommend
It was too noisy here for us - between the music and the crowd, we couldn't hear one another, but I don't think we're the right demographic for this place. The Caesar Salad and crab cake were just OK. We wouldn't go back. But it would be fine for people who want a lively place with OK food at reasonable prices (reasonable for the Times Square area).
We were staying at a hotel across the street for a week, and ate at this restaurant four times during our stay. Each time the food and service we’re excellent. It was a great value to get a warm, grounding meal at a great price in a fun, energetic-yet-homey environment. Would definitely recommend!
Comfortable , fun place for a quick bite or slow mean. Welcoming, friendly staff and large portions all reasonably priced.
Nice place, next to Times Square. Food was good, but not outstanding. Prices like expected for a location next to Broadway and all the theatres.
Food arrived in five mins never a good sign! Sausages were reheated. Mash was awful. Staff were rude and tables too close together. Mudic so loud waitresses shouting at you. Waste of money.
Wasn't really impressed. Food was so so and service just ok.
Great fish and chips and beer and good service. Good quality for the money.
Went to O'Donoghue's for a pre-theater dinner with a group of 8, and we had a blast! Would highly recommend.
Great restaurant for a quick pre-theater meal. Good food, fast courteous service. Recommended.
Food very fresh, well prepared, reasonably priced. Had the chicken pot pie with amazing puff pastry, made on site.
We arrived 40 minutes early. She found us a table right away. The waitress was quick to take our order. The food came at a reasonable time. It was hot and delicious! And no rush to give us the check!
The hostess (Allie) was the most delightful person ever! Smiling, welcoming and is the one reason I would return.
Good restaurant for the new year eve. Very well localized if you want to celebrate countdown outside near Time Square just after dinner
Amazing service considering it was Christmas Day and the staff were run off their feet but had it so under control that you'd never have noticed and it was exactly what we (as an English gal an Irish guy) wanted for our Xmas dinner in New York! Can not praise the staff enough for such a great job and lovely experience. Would definitely recommend O'Donoghues to others.
Booked for Xmas Day as was over from the UK in NYC with the family. Picked O' Donoghue's purely at random. Turned out to be one of my better choices. Really great atmosphere, even my 14 year old son enjoyed it! Great service, and superb food and kudos for opening Xmas Day, it was packed.
When in NYC I will visit again, no doubt about it.
We visited New York for Christmas 2017, travelled from Ireland. We booked the restaurant in advance as we wanted a traditional turkey and ham dinner for Christmas Day. On the day we arrived early and were seated straightaway which was fine. My husband and I had the $45 set menu, there was no separate children's menu for our three children, aged 11yrs, 10yrs and 5 yrs so we ordered from the bar menu for them. They had chicken tenders and fries, which were ok. The Christmas menu for myself and my husband was very disappointing and very overpriced for what we got. My husband had the vol au vents for starters which were cold. We both had the turkey and ham which had been advertised as 'with all the trimmings', it basically just had a spoonful of what seemed like very processed mash and a small spoonful of green beans and carrot mash. The turkey and ham was tasteless and the whole thing tasted like some mass produced catering stuff similar to a supermarket plastic dinner. My dessert was a so called cheesecake, tasteless and synthetic and my husband's apple tart wasn't much better. We had a bottle of wine and a couple of soft drinks also and the total bill including tip came to just over $235, the tip of 18% was added on to the bill for us so we had no choice but to pay it!! Ridiculously overpriced for very poor quality and we had to tip it as well!!! We considered making a complaint before we left but our children were keen to leave and it was so busy so we just left without saying anything.
I'm sure this place is great craic for a few drinks, night out etc, just don't ever go there for Christmas Day!
Food was delicious, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. Was perfect for our date
My wife and daughters annual trip to the Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park. The restaurant was close by and fit exactly what we were looking for. Good Food, excellent service and a reasonable price.
In Theatre District for a play, you have to go to O'Donoghue's! Food is homestyle, service is friendly and they will get you out for that play time!!!
fun time during happy hour. Great pricing compared to many places in New York.
A good quick pre-theater spot.
Food was great and the service was top notch would recommend to anyone as we loved it and will definitely go back if I visit New York again
Simply the best Irish Bar in NY. Very friendly staff, moderate prices, "family Feeling", great location and warm welcome!
Cute little pub. Nice food and drink menu. Booked it for pre-theater and glad we had a reservation. It was very crowded for a sat afternoon!! We will def go back!!
before theater dinner service was very prompt and the food choices worked well for all the people in the party, Irish food was delicious
Good pub grub. A bit noisy but goes with location. Good price for the location.
A very enjoyable brunch before going to see a show. Happy they had a children's menu Food was very good and so was the service.
Great spot for a pre play meal. The Guinness stew and bangers and mash were very good.
Excellent shandy, which is hard to get in the city!! The food was superb and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We are looking forward to going back.
Our Open Table reserv could not be found even though confirmed the day before with return email confirmation. A table was found but no apology. Food was bland.
We arrived a little earlier than our booking time, but the staff sorted us a table right away which was really good as kids were hungry. Service was fab and friendly, food was lovely and portions were above average. Would definitely return whenever I am in New York.
Great place to meet. Friendly team and good food. Severed quickly and had a good meal. Thanks
Quick service before a play. Chicken fingers are very bland. Overall very good
The food was great - salmon was cooked perfectly and the sides were the perfect complement. The bread pudding was delicious - if you don't like raisins (which I don't) they are very easy to remove - the accompanying ice cream is dusted with cinnamon. Can't wait to go back for the music.
Good for a pre-theater dinner. Sit near the front if you can --- it gets loud in the back.
Great Ruebens and craft beer selection! Good spot to hit before a show. Will be back!
The food is okay and the service was fine. However, If this is an Irish pub, then just about every bar in the US is an Irish pub. If you are looking for an Irish experience, you may want to look elsewhere.
With so many places to eat in Times Square, I kick myself for making such a poor choice.
