Our Open Table reserv could not be found even though confirmed the day before with return email confirmation. A table was found but no apology. Food was bland.

We arrived a little earlier than our booking time, but the staff sorted us a table right away which was really good as kids were hungry. Service was fab and friendly, food was lovely and portions were above average. Would definitely return whenever I am in New York.

The food was great - salmon was cooked perfectly and the sides were the perfect complement. The bread pudding was delicious - if you don't like raisins (which I don't) they are very easy to remove - the accompanying ice cream is dusted with cinnamon. Can't wait to go back for the music.

The food is okay and the service was fine. However, If this is an Irish pub, then just about every bar in the US is an Irish pub. If you are looking for an Irish experience, you may want to look elsewhere.

With so many places to eat in Times Square, I kick myself for making such a poor choice.

This place is great - close to most theatres, delicious food, and good selection of happy hour beverages. I can recommend the crab cakes and the Cosmopolitan cocktails! The service was also friendly and efficient, not rushed.

My mom and I were visiting the city with Broadway tickets for mother's day on a Saturday afternoon. After reviewing the menu online and noticing the restaurant was within walking distance of the theater, we chose the Irish bar for a cozy afternoon lunch prior to play. However, the website never addressed or mentioned that on Sat and Sundays there is only one very limited brunch menu until 4 and we sort of felt disappointed . Although the blackened salmon salad was good, for 22$ it had only greens and salmon. The waitress was very nice, but perhaps was assigned too many tables. Not worth it

As expected casual sports bar with Irish bar type menu. Was only spot we could get a seat at this time on Saturday night before theatre show. So did not have high expectations. Service was good and food was good. Bar was lively and language by one group was "rough", but they were just having a good time, which is to be expected at a place like this.

Our server was very friendly. The food was quick and very good. The high top tables were a little hard for our older guests to get up into, but once up there, very comfortable. Would definitely go back.

Nice Irish restaurant. The food was very good. I enjoyed the Irish Guinness Stew, very flavorful and tender meat. My husband enjoyed the shepherds pie. We also had the stuffed clams. They were really good with bacon flavor. The service was fast and our food was hot. Nice place.

The food was good; the place was basic. I am not a big eater and I ordered a corned beef Reuben sandwich. It barely had any sauerkraut on it and it was not a generous portion, made on square rye that seemed smaller than white bread slices. However, the corned beef was very lean. I don't know why servers wait for you to ask "how is everything" after you take a bite of your sandwich and can only try to moan or nod some kind of reply. It would have been nice if I did not have to ask for more water. That's when I needed the server and had to flag them down.

Came here for dinner before seeing Beautiful, the play. Had a 6:00 pm reservation on a saturday night. We were seated right away. We had plenty of time to have drinks and eat dinner. Great service and good food. Reasonably priced for Times Square location. One block away from the theatre! Great place. Would highly recommend.

We never got to eat. We were offered a table just inside the front door. Then we were offered a table in the middle of the floor so close to the bar that people were brushing into the previous guests as they passed. We were then told we would be seated in the back BUT THEY GAVE THE TABLE TO SOMEONE WHO HAD JUST WALKED IN. I will never set foot in that place again.

We went to O'Donoghue's bar and restaurant on Christmas Day. We are Irish and in New York for Christmas so wanted to get a feel of home. It is a great bar. Lots of atmosphere. Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was delicious. Definitely felt like a typical Irish pub, friendly and full of atmosphere. Great spot.

We booked a table here for Christmas Day dinner.. we were seated a few minutes early which was nice.. we were immediately told we couldn't stay at our table for more than 2 hours! When I got my lobster bisque I was slightly disappointed as there was barely anything in the bowl! The flavour was amazing and it was a decent temperature but there wasn't enough given.. all the rest of the meal was lovely.. we weren't offered tea or coffee at the end! the only other issue I had was when we got the bill an 18% tip was added to the bill... now I've heard it's customary to give this in the states but I think it's very rude telling someone this is what they must give especially when the service was very basic..

Best Beer Ever! I had a cold corona, never had it so cold. The chips and guac was outstanding. The waitress had a bad attitude but we didnt let her ruin our Christmas Day or the bar experience. We'll be back when we visit NY just not with her.

Not what we expected from an Irish bar. (Mashed spuds) not a roasty or Brussels sprout in sight for a Xmas day meal. Need to up their game to be in contention with bar food back home.
