   Fabulous! We got the small table for two in the corner alcove where we could see street traffic. For us, it’s the power table! Food was spectacular, from the beets and sourdough levain to the crab tagliatelle. Service was efficient and helpful and friendly. Octavia is our favorite place! Cozy and romantic with excellent food.

   Octavia stands out with carefully prepared and inventive dishes. Though, in some instances, combinations are more than a bit contrived and may not yield the best results. An example would be a delicate lamb tartare that is spread thin on a very spicy flatbread (losing the tartare in the process in all but name) rather than sticking with the classic presentation and simply serving bread and meat separately. Pricing of the menu items is commensurate with their quality, namely high. While that is only fair, it is rather annoying to be nickled and dimed for a piece of bread, excellent though their home made bread certainly is. Wine list is vast and good. Service is very attentive and friendly.

   Went with 3 friends and ordered almost the whole menu to share...was thoroughly impressed with the food and the diversity of flavors...excellent execution and the meal was timed impeccably. Thoughtful and finely curated wine list added to the experience. Service was attentive and professional. Already made reservations to return.

   Delicious! Great service! Lovely parklet, and I appreciated that the restaurant sent a text warning us about the cold weather. We decided to keep the reservation and bundle up and I'm so glad we did. The sourdough, pastas, and baked Alaska were our favorites. Highly recommended, especially if you have something to celebrate!

    We had an exceptional evening at Octavia, where we sat in their absolutely beautiful heated outdoor parklet. We opted for the Chef's Tasting Menu, and they were able to accommodate a vegetarian version of it. Absolutely every dish was presented beautifully, and most importantly, all were QUITE delicious. I loved their fresh pasta and tamal especially, (and every single dessert!). The Chef's Tasting Menu was an outrageously good deal, with four hefty courses in total -- by the end, we couldn't eat anything more. Service was kind and attentive. Thank you to the Octavia team for helping us celebrate a special evening. We can't wait to dine with you again soon!

    Wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable service in a natural, on-trend design space. Cuisine is complex without being fussy. Lamb dish was tender, tasty and decadent! Veal tartare amazing. We will return as always.

    Food was just ok. Main courses came out cold, fish serving was super small, tail end. Baked Alaska dessert, atrocious. Super cold in the outdoor seating — only one small heater for a pretty big space. Beet app was excellent. Texted about avocado allergy 72 hours prior to reservation, still got served dish with avocado in it.

    Inventive, delightful, delicious meal to celebrate. We chose the tasting menu for two, and loved every one of the 11 dishes composed by the chef and the 5 wines selected by our waiter. We would go back for a truly special occasion or anytime we could get a table in a heartbeat.

    As usual, Octavia does not disappoint. The outside dining areas are warm and comfortable and above street level which makes a big difference. The food is inventive and uniformly delicious. There wasn’t one dish we ordered that wasn’t fantastic. We will be back!

    They were out of oysters the time I was there; 8p-ish. Service was excellent. Food was was very good but left me wanting more—maybe I had high expectations from my perfect tapas experience in Healdsburg.

    Our waiter took our order and it seemed like another person took over the table without any transition communication. It was our first disappointing experience as a frequent diner. Baked Alaska was outstanding as was our two pastas. Bravo

    We arrived at 5:00, and by daylight the restaurant was attractive - modern and clean. We tried to figure out how much food to order, but our waiter waffled that most people had, umm, several dishes. The appetizers were very small. Bread was an appetizer: 4 slices of bread at $1.50 per slice! The entrees were smallish, and the desserts were enormous! I think an appetizer should be big enough to share, an entree should be a meal, and the dessert should be only 3 delicious bites - a sweet finish. The food was yummy - but the room was so dark we couldn't see what we were eating. Really! We were putting bites of darkish matter onto our forks. A large part of the enjoyment of eating is the visual pleasure you get out of seeing a delectable dish, so why feed us in a cave? Also, there was a bad draft - all of our legs were frozen, so we didn't feel comfy. Any bistro in Paris does it better. Let us see what we're eating, and don't do the mingy portions/mega-dessert thing.

    Great service, delicious food. Even though the restaurant is busy the staff works flawlessly so you never feel like you are forgotten and every one of them was a pleasure to interact with. I highly recommend the tasting menu (chefs choice never disappoints) and ordering their Negroni Sbagliato to enjoy with the final course (dessert) was nothing short of sublime.

    Had an amazing meal and the service was impeccable! Our reservation was for one of the outside “parklets” and they even accommodated us with a lovely table inside. We can’t wait to try Frances their sister restaurant!
