Food was good. View was fabulous. Service a bit slow. Glass top tables should have been cleaner. Floor also was dirty.

First evening of vacation at The Omni Amelia Island Plantation.
We walked up the beach from our villa to the Oceanside restaurant.
Beautiful setting- we were greeted graciously and being asked our seating preference.
We were promptly seated overlooking the ocean at the poolside.
Our server, Tanisha, was attentive and professional. She kept a quiet watch over us & checked in often.
Our dinner options were somewhat limited but Tanisha offered to ask the chef if shrimp could be grilled as a
“Coal-fired” option.
I also asked about off-menu sides -chips, slaw, fries were available.
Great bar area- the bartender quickly switched my drink from the glass to a plastic cup so I could walk back up the beach to our villa. She even “refreshed” my gimlet and didn’t charge extra.

I still could not believe, this was the 4th time we ate at the Ocean Grille Restaurant always got the nice table EXCEPT last Sunday Easter 4/21/19. We had a reservations for 5 people at 11am. I chose that time because I knew we were the very first guests and I requested inside, the middle table near the ocean view, which we always had everytime we dined in there except last Sunday. The hostess put us the table near the Toilets on the end of the restaurant! I asked the hostess why we cant seat in the middle take note we were the very first guests nobody were there until other guests showed up at noon. The hostess said they were reserved I mentioned to her I got reservations too! We felt un-welcomed and irritated specially we were celebrating our daughter's 18th bday and Easter Sunday. Also, missing utensils for 2 people. They already served the food but missing utensils! The side I ordered was forgotten and our served never checked to make sure were were okay. That service on Sunday was poor. That maybe the last time we would dine in there. Really disappointing!

The location on the ocean is so nice that I really wish I could give it 5 stars. But the food is nothing to write home about, good but not great. I go there anyway because I like the atmosphere but usually stick to shrimp cocktail (which is pricey but really good) and burgers. I experimented with salmon sticks over a tiny arugula salad yesterday, which I’d rate a B.

Seating lady seemed disinterested in getting us to a seat. We were left waiting with no instructions - then it was a series of super uncoordinated stuff.

Server had no idea about what “vegetarian” includes - and then she got us something but food tasted stale. Thankfully their manager showed up and suggested a cool vegetarian dish that is not in menu but could be made. That saved the day for us.

Interestingly, hotel guests weren’t given cool seats as those were reserved for Open table - I wasn’t one of those guests. I went online and booked a table for the same time and got a table. Terrible!!

The food was very poor and had to be sent back multiple times. The oysters were the worst I've ever had. To their credit the manager was very possible and friendly and the shass made a nice effort to provide complimentary desserts and was very kind

We had a wonderful lunch in a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean - hard to beat that! Our meals were very good, and our waitperson was efficient and charming. And, this was a really nice surprise - we wanted to try the crab soup (don't miss it!) and asked for one bowl and two spoons. Instead, the MANAGER (not our waitress) delivered the soup and had split it into two cups to make it easier for us! Now that is service!

When we tried to make reservations your site told us there were no tables. The resort was no help whatsoever. We tried again in the afternoon and were given four minutes to make a decision. We took the seven pm time. We arrived and the place was virtually empty!!! Even so we were given a table by the kitchen door. The waitress arrived and told us what you didn’t have on the menu. We wanted the lobster but not the whole thing so the waitress suggested two lobster tails. Twenty five minutes later we received ONE lobster tail cut in half with virtually nothing else on the plate for $37.00!!! After eating at Bobs the night before the Oceanside was a huge disappointment. I will never go back nor recommend it to my friends who travel frequently. Get your act together!!!

Sat inside, did have some comfortable chairs in the restaurant, but not ours. They were horrible. The tables have slats that allow silverware to fall through. Not a place for dinner. Would go back for lunch.

Enjoyed our dinner here in Christmas evening. Waitress was wonderful and friendly. We overdressed-it was very casual. Also it was cold and windy that day and each time they door was opened the room got colder and colder. Never warmed up by the time we left. Otherwise we would have given 5 stars.

I took my daughter here for her 17th birthday. She has anxiety and was afraid to go. But once we got there everyone was so nice and inviting we were relaxed and enjoyed our dinner. The filet mignon was so delicious. My daughter loved her grilled chicken salad also. We ordered key lime pie to go. It was also amazing. Our waitress Kendra made us so comfortable. I want to thank her. We will definitely go back.

Ambience by the ocean was great to hear the surf. Wee bit windy but comfortable. Pretty crowded but still able to hold a conversation much better than inside most restaurants.
Service was very good with friendly staff from Jamaica who were attentive and conversational.
Food was very good but a bit slow coming from the kitchen. Good value for the quality and size of the portions.
