I was envisioning a much for eloquent experience. I made a reservation explaining it was my husband birthday and nothing special was done. We had to ask if they do anything special for birthdays. Very bland experience. Likely will not go back for the price and atmosphere.

Our reservation was for 6pm but we were in a bit of a rush. We should have told the waiter that to begin with. We had the shrimp appetizer which was a 10. Simply delicious! We each got a half salad. I got the tomato salad. It was very good but would have preferred mozzarella cheese instead of goat cheese. My sister got the beet salad but there were no golden beets (was supposed to have both kinds) just the one kind. She said it was delicious. The bread was also fantastic. We waited a bit for our food which would have been fine if we didn’t need to leave by 7:15. When we got the entrees they were disappointing. The warm sea bass was bad and my rainbow trout was marginal. Everything else was fabulous so I guess we may have ordered the wrong selections. The waiter was fantastic! I think he was new to the restaurant. I would definitely go back to this establishment.

We went to Oceano Bistro for a lunch celebration with 6 people. Our server was very attentive and everyone really enjoyed the food very much. We arrived right at 1:45 pm on a Saturday so we were in that time period where brunch was still available and they were switching to their dinner menu so we had even more options than normal. My only suggestion if you are going with a group of 6 or more is to request a big table. They put us at a smaller table which did make it very cramped with all the glasses and dishes.

The location and atmosphere was great. The waitress was even better. The prices were very reasonable. The food presentation was also outstanding. Me and my wife both ordered the sea bass and to be honest we were disappointed with the taste. The fillets were cut very thin and thus they cooked the flavor out of them. It was our first time there and I’m sure we will give it another try. We’re thinking maybe lunch on the next go round.
