First time going, loved everything. two thumbs up!
I didn’t care for the shrimp scampi
This was my 2nd experience at the Oceanaire Restaurant Atlanta. Both visits were exceptional. It is one of my choices for special occasions and dates. The staff and management have always been courteous and attentive.
Outstanding food a great place to eat. I have returned for several special occasions and it has been great every time.
We celebrated my mother's birthday with a party of 8. We were promptly seated when everyone arrived. It took a few minutes for our waiters to come over to our table, but once they did, they were pretty good for the majority of the night. They gave exceptional service as a restaurant, once I reminded them that it was my mother's birthday, they gave us new menus that included "happy birthday" on them. The food portions were very large. The snapper could use a little more seasoning and the scampi a lot more garlic butter, but other than that, everything was on point! The lobster mac and the greens, were outstanding!
The service could use improvement, too fast paced, we had an appetizer on the table and our entrees were delivered and THEN bread & relish, felt very rushed by Derek our server. We had one glass of wine and didn't want a refill so perhaps that played a role in wanting to turn the table. Our reservation was at 6:30 and the restaurant was far from full - not sure everything was paced as it was, it was my birthday celebration and once we signed the check it was 7:05 pm, more like a casual dining dinner duration. The food however was great!
Great service and delicious food!
The food was outstanding as usual. Everyone at the table were thoroughly satisfied with their dinner. I love this place, always consistent.
Came from Chicago for my birthday. Loved the how the menu said "Happy Birthday," food was excellent, ambiance was nice, overall a good dining experience. Crystal was my waiter and was attentive, funny and nice! Thanks for a wonderful experience! Im
We were greeted with a smile, the waite staff was very attentive and any hint of a problem was resolved expeditiously. The Shrimp and Grits are the best as well as the oysters!
Pre Fox theatre dinner.
My husband and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. The server was ABSOLUTELY wonderful! Great restaurant!
The customer service was great! Our server treated us very well, the food was amazing. My wife and I were dining for her birthday. They did not disappoint. Will definitely go back
Used OpenTable and I have a Landry's account. They greeted me several times by name, had notes that I like an Arnold Palmer, put me in what I told them was my "favorite booth" and recalled that 90% of the time I order the Chopped Seafood Salad. All of that was provided to the server before I sat down. My guest indicated that I must eat there a lot for them to remember all of those details. Great Customer database ... great service ... a favorite of mine especially when I want to impress a client.
I ordered the Chef's Special, Butter Poached Alaska Red Crab and it had one small piece of crab and the risotto was tasteless!!! I was so disappointed as I have had this dish before and couldn't wait to have it again. I also had a wedge salad that had very little green and even less blue cheese and bacon. For the money spent on this meal with tax and tip, I felt hoodwink!!! However, my friend had the grouper which was good and the waiter was very nice. I don't think their dishes are consistent
The food and service were both great. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and was seated immediately. We will definitely be back.
My husband and I went here on a date. We enjoy trying various restaurants and this was on our list. When we got there we were barely greeted by the hostess, no eye contact was made. Our waiter Derrick was mediocre at best, he displayed a very condescending demeanor and wasn’t very attentive. Outside of that, we enjoyed our meals, the crab cakes and lobster mac and cheese were good. Overall the experience was decent, we hope to return with a different waiter.
Wait staff did a great job attending to us. The restaurant was fairly busy but also was quiet which was nice. We had oysters and crabcakes for appetizers which were very good. Both of our meals were also high in quality. Finally, we finished with Key Lime pie which was delicious. Would definitely recommend to other.
Love Oceanaire. Service is always great, the restaurant is gorgeous. Food is good just pricey, but other than than that I love this place
I love this beautiful place. Great food, great prices, and great customer service. I have gone several times and it never gets old. Love this place.
It was a great ambiance, and mood however I did not feel that the taste of the food justified the price
Excellent Service. Service was quick from the minute we hit the door. Everyone was nice and the atmosphere was amazing.
I took a date for their Valentine's day four course dinner. The set menus were to be expected except it had no vegetable options on the main courses aside from the salads offered on the second course. I ordered the lamb chops and my date, the lobster/fillet. Her steak was overcooked. The lamb was mostly fatty tissue with little to no lean meat. The desserts were prepackaged key lime pies and they were tasty but they looked as though they had been stored under a heat lamp. Presentation was terrible. The server was pleasant. The couple next to me returned their salmon entree which was severely under-cooked. The waitress gave me a Riesling instead of a sauvignon blanc like I asked.
My oysters were completely dried. A bit advice, please leave the oyster juice inside of the shell.
Service was impeccable! The calamari was a little too soft for my liking. Silverware was not spot free, outside windows had handprints, and purse holder in ladies bathroom was broken off. Not something I expected from this type of restaurant. Won’t rush to go back
Don't go to lunch here ...
unless you are willing to pay 14 dollars or more, each car, for parking
They are supposed to offer you parking coupons but they never do at the table. So when you request them at the door, they don't have any there and they make you wait.
Our check was over $100 for lunch and we had to pay for parking!
Had eaten here years ago & obviously was impressed enough to come back but didn’t remember how very very expensive it is!! Oysters were delicious & the bar is a cool
Don’t know if they serve bread, we had bread plates, but never were offered bread! Grouper was very good
Doubt I’ll ever go back
Everything was excellent from the waiter to the parking attendant. The food was delicious
Great food, a bit pricey, but sometimes you're worth it!
Our server Tisha was so pleasant. Food temperature was perfect. The dining experience was great!
The food was awesome, great service and ambience. Highly recommended.
Our server, Quentin, was wonderful and made some great recommendations for both our appetizer and entrees. There is a wonderful octopus appetizer that can be prepared sans mussels if you have an allergy like I do. I had the fried snapper which was almost perfect, I had to add a little salt which is no big deal and the presentation is excellent, whole fish-head and all. My husband had the grouper topped with lobster meat. We will definitely be dining here again.
Wait staff was excellent and very attentive. Food and presentation were top notch and deserts and atmosphere was the icing on the cake.
Wow! What a disappointment! I had read quite a few good reviews about this place so I decided to take my wife for our 20th anniversary. I ordered the Ahi Tuna as my entree, for this kind of money you’d expect a flawless piece of fish. Unfortunately half of the serving was laced with gristle. In addition, and for those tuna lovers you would understand this, the piece of fish is supposed to be a vibrant pink color however the fish I was served was more on the browner side indicating it was not that fresh. Disappointing since our server explained to us the restaurant prides itself on being “Uber fresh!” Defined, as they shared, flown in “same day”! My wife ended up ordering the almond crusted mahi-mahi special. It was a nice portion of fish bu unfortunately it lacked any flavor. With a nice low end bottle of wine our check was over $200 without cocktails or dessert. Extremely disappointing and will not go back OR recommend to any colleagues or friends. Too bad since the interior is beautiful and wait staff was great.
Excellent service and food. Good choice for a date or business dinner.
The service and food were outstanding as always. But what I didn't appreciate was that our waiter "Derrick" did not mention the price of that evening's special. I know I should have asked the price after he mentioned what the evenings special was but I didn't. Normally or at least it's been my experience that the waiter explains what the special is and then states the price. Not that I wouldn't have still gone with the special but it was $75.00! It was priced correctly considering what it included (except for the tiny shrimp), I just would have at least given all of the information so I could have made a decision to accept or decline the special. Other than that Oceanaire continues to deliver top quality food & service experience!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Josh was our server and he was absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere. Good wine list but expensive!!! $130 for Moet Chandon?? Really? It's only $40 retail ($90 markup?). We ordered 6 oysters and they brought only 5. How hard is it to count to 6? The waitress (Leikny) virtually read the entire menu out loud and she was very talkative. The waitress took my date's drink and appetizer order then walked away without taking my order and took the menus and wine list away too. I had to ask her to come back for my drink order and to bring the menus back. Food was average...wait staff...not so much. BUT the baked Alaska was GREAT.
Wobble Table and a bit high priced for the value and size of meals that you get. Was hoping for a better experience.
Exceptional service as always. My salad had a bit too much sodium( ate some and brought most of it home so I can add other ingredients.
My husband ordered the fried snapper which he enjoyed but had stomach issues later.
Overall it was a good experience for my family; it was their first visit and my third.
