As sleek as a 1930s ocean liner, yet as relaxed as a dinner on the shore, the Oceanaire provides the perfect setting to enjoy Ultra-Fresh seafood, flown in daily from around the world. The restaurant features plush, red leather booths and cherry wood-accents for a look of high-style swanky elegance.View Private Dining Details
Our server, Quentin, was wonderful and made some great recommendations for both our appetizer and entrees. There is a wonderful octopus appetizer that can be prepared sans mussels if you have an allergy like I do. I had the fried snapper which was almost perfect, I had to add a little salt which is no big deal and the presentation is excellent, whole fish-head and all. My husband had the grouper topped with lobster meat. We will definitely be dining here again.
Wait staff was excellent and very attentive. Food and presentation were top notch and deserts and atmosphere was the icing on the cake.
Wow! What a disappointment! I had read quite a few good reviews about this place so I decided to take my wife for our 20th anniversary. I ordered the Ahi Tuna as my entree, for this kind of money you’d expect a flawless piece of fish. Unfortunately half of the serving was laced with gristle. In addition, and for those tuna lovers you would understand this, the piece of fish is supposed to be a vibrant pink color however the fish I was served was more on the browner side indicating it was not that fresh. Disappointing since our server explained to us the restaurant prides itself on being “Uber fresh!” Defined, as they shared, flown in “same day”! My wife ended up ordering the almond crusted mahi-mahi special. It was a nice portion of fish bu unfortunately it lacked any flavor. With a nice low end bottle of wine our check was over $200 without cocktails or dessert. Extremely disappointing and will not go back OR recommend to any colleagues or friends. Too bad since the interior is beautiful and wait staff was great.
Excellent service and food. Good choice for a date or business dinner.
The service and food were outstanding as always. But what I didn't appreciate was that our waiter "Derrick" did not mention the price of that evening's special. I know I should have asked the price after he mentioned what the evenings special was but I didn't. Normally or at least it's been my experience that the waiter explains what the special is and then states the price. Not that I wouldn't have still gone with the special but it was $75.00! It was priced correctly considering what it included (except for the tiny shrimp), I just would have at least given all of the information so I could have made a decision to accept or decline the special. Other than that Oceanaire continues to deliver top quality food & service experience!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Josh was our server and he was absolutely wonderful. We will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere. Good wine list but expensive!!! $130 for Moet Chandon?? Really? It's only $40 retail ($90 markup?). We ordered 6 oysters and they brought only 5. How hard is it to count to 6? The waitress (Leikny) virtually read the entire menu out loud and she was very talkative. The waitress took my date's drink and appetizer order then walked away without taking my order and took the menus and wine list away too. I had to ask her to come back for my drink order and to bring the menus back. Food was average...wait staff...not so much. BUT the baked Alaska was GREAT.
Wobble Table and a bit high priced for the value and size of meals that you get. Was hoping for a better experience.
Exceptional service as always. My salad had a bit too much sodium( ate some and brought most of it home so I can add other ingredients.
My husband ordered the fried snapper which he enjoyed but had stomach issues later.
Overall it was a good experience for my family; it was their first visit and my third.
Amazing! Everything was amazing. 10/10
Great place and great time. Highly recommend! Service was amazing and food was awesome.
It was our first anniversary and we are both seafood lovers. So why not go to a place that specialize in seafood. Perfect was not good enough for the way it was prepared and served. Our waitress was from Colorado and me being a Denver Bronco fan made it even more tasteful.....lol
Amazing and intimate, very personable service
Oceanaire is a traditional-style, upscale steak and seafood restaurant, the type of place you do not come across often enough. The presentation of shellfish as you enter the restaurant is phenomenal! The entire place is well-appointed.
The staff there was professional and very helpful and friendly.
Pricey and Not worth the hype. Asst Manager visited table after : Fish on menu I wanted but restaurant was out of it...soup was cold..truffle potatoes were cold. Snapper fish was good...grouper was very good
I came in with my fiancé for my birthday. Everything was amazing from start to finish, and our server Josh provided outstanding customer service. We’ll definitely be back.
Dined here with 5 others. Everyone ordered something different and everyone raved about their meal. We started with crab and octopus. I didn’t think the experience could get any better until they brought the entrees. My steak was very tender and the shrimp very flavorful. The scallops were unusually good and the Sole was prepared perfectly.
Conversation was easy even though the restaurant was practically full. Lastly, the service was prompt and efficient.
I always eat here when in Midtown and have never been disappointed.
My wife and I decided to visit Oceanaire for our anniversary. As usual we were not disappointed. The food was great with a wide selection to choose from. Since it was our anniversary they brought us a Baked Alaska at the end of the meal which was the only thing we did not like. Neither of us are Baked Alaska aficionados so I can’t say if it was bad or just not to our liking. I would like to specifically call out the service we received. You expect good service from a restaurant of this caliber but our waiter went the extra mile. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and made sure we had want we needed and wanted.
I brought my wife here for our 1 year anniversary and the manager and staff were very helpful and friendly. They made our special occasion rememorable. The food was great and the place was very comfortable.
My husband and I really enjoyed our visit here and the service was outstanding! Russell was fantastic and so was the rest of the staff, made us feel really special. The food was perfect too, I highly recommend!
Server was not friendly at all. Messed up order multiple times (drinks, appetizers and entrees) and wasn’t concerned or apologetic about the missteps.
We’ve come here every year for our engagement anniversary and they never disappoint
Please bring back the Mac & Bleu
I went for my birthday and had a great dining experience. Service was unbelievable.
This was our 2nd time attending. Both times for my wife's birthday. Although she has made it clear that she likes to try new places on special occasions, Oceanaire was an exception. We absolutely loves this place & it took some pressure off me...lol. Not easy to keep finding new places when your wife is a food connoisseur..lol. Thank you Oceanaire. Awesome atmosphere, service & amazing food.
Oceanaire is one of my favorites. Apart from excellent food and good service, it's one of those restaurants where you can actually talk and enjoy the company of the people you're with instead of hearing loud music or other unnecessary noise in the background. I love that. I also love the ambiance. The restaurant is beautifully designed and there's plenty of elbow room so you don't feel crowded.
Excellent food and quite large portions. The best thing we had we the Grilled Octupus apettizer, and the portion size was large enough for two people to share or one person to have it as an entree. The lobster bisque was lush, and the simply prepared grouper was cooked perfectly and still very Weight Watchers friendly. Overall the service was a bit lackluster compared to restaurants of similar caliber, like Ruth's Chris or Canoe, but the food made up for that flaw. But be sure to save up - it was about $80/person.
Black Cod Sandwich - too much breading and too hard. I could barely taste the fish.
Great restaurant overall. Entire stafrom was great and exactly what you should expect when you arrive.
Fantastic food, service, and quality of dining. I would eat here for every special occasion if possible!
Very nice atmosphere and our service was good. Did have to send lobster/macaroni back because it was cold but everything else was good. Be ready to spend about $100 per person
It was amazing. The food was delicious.
This was our first visit to Oceanaire, and it definitely will not be our last. Today was our 9th anniversary, and this made for an all-around fabulous experience. We enjoyed our drinks, appetizer, meals, dessert, and especially the complimentary champagne for our special day. Thanks so much for everything; we'll be back again soon!
Wonderful way to bring in 2018!
The wait for our appetizer took a ling time to be served, which was a salad. Serving a plate with fish only as a main course is not a great idea.
Most disappointed I’ve been in Atlanta.
Used to be a top5. Very very poor all around
Service was great (Claire) and food was good; but not worth the price tag. Either better seafood or lower prices
Went for New Years Eve mostly because we had a gift card. The food is pretty good but with a four course pre fixed menu they brought the courses out so quickly we weren't done with one before another was placed on the table. Pretty frustrating for $90 per person. Felt more like a factory than a dining experience.
The menu was limited due to it being New Years Eve. The calamari was too spicy. Had jalapeño peppers in it. Who does that on calamari? Steak and lobster dinner was not great. I have never seen such a small lobster tail. For the price they could have done better
Great service we didn't enjoy the selected menu.
Beautiful restaurant the food is delicious
I have dined at the location in San Diego so I brought my sister in law to this one in Atlanta Georgia it was delicious however it was New Years Eve so they had a limited menu for the evening. I did not know that when I booked it however it was still delicious and we made the best of it.
