This was our 2nd time attending. Both times for my wife's birthday. Although she has made it clear that she likes to try new places on special occasions, Oceanaire was an exception. We absolutely loves this place & it took some pressure off me...lol. Not easy to keep finding new places when your wife is a food connoisseur..lol. Thank you Oceanaire. Awesome atmosphere, service & amazing food.

Oceanaire is one of my favorites. Apart from excellent food and good service, it's one of those restaurants where you can actually talk and enjoy the company of the people you're with instead of hearing loud music or other unnecessary noise in the background. I love that. I also love the ambiance. The restaurant is beautifully designed and there's plenty of elbow room so you don't feel crowded.

Excellent food and quite large portions. The best thing we had we the Grilled Octupus apettizer, and the portion size was large enough for two people to share or one person to have it as an entree. The lobster bisque was lush, and the simply prepared grouper was cooked perfectly and still very Weight Watchers friendly. Overall the service was a bit lackluster compared to restaurants of similar caliber, like Ruth's Chris or Canoe, but the food made up for that flaw. But be sure to save up - it was about $80/person.

Black Cod Sandwich - too much breading and too hard. I could barely taste the fish.

Very nice atmosphere and our service was good. Did have to send lobster/macaroni back because it was cold but everything else was good. Be ready to spend about $100 per person

This was our first visit to Oceanaire, and it definitely will not be our last. Today was our 9th anniversary, and this made for an all-around fabulous experience. We enjoyed our drinks, appetizer, meals, dessert, and especially the complimentary champagne for our special day. Thanks so much for everything; we'll be back again soon!

The wait for our appetizer took a ling time to be served, which was a salad. Serving a plate with fish only as a main course is not a great idea.

Went for New Years Eve mostly because we had a gift card. The food is pretty good but with a four course pre fixed menu they brought the courses out so quickly we weren't done with one before another was placed on the table. Pretty frustrating for $90 per person. Felt more like a factory than a dining experience.

The menu was limited due to it being New Years Eve. The calamari was too spicy. Had jalapeño peppers in it. Who does that on calamari? Steak and lobster dinner was not great. I have never seen such a small lobster tail. For the price they could have done better

Beautiful restaurant the food is delicious
I have dined at the location in San Diego so I brought my sister in law to this one in Atlanta Georgia it was delicious however it was New Years Eve so they had a limited menu for the evening. I did not know that when I booked it however it was still delicious and we made the best of it.

Last guest to arrive and soup was not hot. Had to scrape bottom
And it was horrible. Then ordered steak and it was sent back 2 times undercooked. Everyone at table finished food and steak was still not out. Manager barely apologized. Had king crab and it was so over cooked. Pappadeaux taste wat better. Used to love Oceanaire but they have gone downhill. Will not be back. So many other restaurants that are way better for less the price.

Food was average but service was awful. Waiter was rude. After salads, forks were taken away. We were left without utensils and resorted to stealing them from an adjacent table since wait staff didn't come back. Had to ask for refills on water. After they brought the check, they never came back to get the credit card. We finally left cash. Will not go back.

Made reservations and still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. They were out of 6oz steak. Which was a big bummer. My waiter was very nice and recommended another dish. Which was tasty but not worth the money. I feel the restaurant is a little overpriced for the meal choices.

Unfortunately with a reservation we still waited 15 to 20 minutes to be seated. It trook at least 10 to 20 minutes for water and bread to come to the table. Another 45 minutes for appetizers. Food was okay, service wasn't the best. Doubt if I return!

Waaayyy overpriced!!! The lobster mac n cheese ($22) was sticky like the pasta shells weren't rinsed after cooking and there were only two small chunks of lobster in the entire dish. My husband ordered the chicken-fried lobster and it was served on top of lukewarm, semi-hardened grits. I ordered the filet and shrimp which looked more like a small flat iron steak with THREE medium-large shrimp for a whopping $42. My appetizer oysters were teeny tiny at $4 each. To top it off, our waitress was inattentive and did not check on us until the end of the meal. Other wait staff filled our glasses and cleared dishes from the table. Overall it was not a good experience and a huge waste of money. They need a new chef and waitstaff, and lower the prices by about $20 per entree. It's not even on par with Pappadeaux.
Food temperature = Poor
Food quality ($$) = Poor
Customer service = Poor

Treated my mom for Christmas dinner as we wanted a carefree day as my father recently passed and I didn’t want my mom at home missing him. Lakne our waitress was super sweet. The meal, crab cakes, asparagus and sweet potato soufflé was superb!! Actually the best crab cakes I think I have ever had... everything about the meal was remarkable and I was very pleased.

Please don’t make the mistake of choosing this restaurant to celebrate your wedding anniversary. Unlike every other restaurant that I’d dined at prior, Oceanaire will do absolutely nothing to make the experience feel special. Every other restaurant that I’ve been to prior treated us like they noticed the word “Anniversary” in our RSVP and felt the need to go the extra mile to make it a memorable evening for us — but, not Oceanaire!! Despite our indicating the occasion, Oceanaire didn’t even do the bare minimum of wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Upon arrival, we were given an awful table. Every table surrounding us had a working electric candle, but somehow they managed to seat us at the only table with no lighting whatsoever. We were pretty much sitting in the dark for 30 minutes and the server didn’t even notice until I asked him for the same candle that every other table around us had. Then, in a backwards move, they somehow managed to bring us our entrees before they’d even brought us our appetizers. The fish and lobster was dry. If they’d simply wished us a “Happy Anniversary” or even thanked us for choosing them to celebrate the occasion, then I probably would’ve ignored the other things. But, Oceanaire seemed determined to ruin the occasion for us altogether whereas every other restaurant I’ve been to for my anniversary treated us like their M.O. was to make the evening as great as they possibly could for us. Please, please, please don’t make the mistake of dining here. Please don’t fall for the facade of celebrities choosing this place. Just because celebs like a spot doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s worth your time or money. Oceanaire is just skating by on the fact that celebs frequent this place, but it’s truly one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to. On a positive note, I will say that our server was nice and the manager was friendly.

We always have a great experience at Oceanaire. The impeccable service, perfect martinis and delicious food, along with our membership in Landry's Rewards Club, keep bringing us back for special occasions. Our server this time, Christmas Eve, was Claire. She managed to be available without being fussy or disruptive, she had interesting comments and suggestions to offer. We enjoyed being served by her. Her floor manager, Terrance, was great too. He came to check that everything was okay, and came again when Claire reported to him a comment I had made for the chef. We had had an appetizer and a shared Caesar salad, so weren't starving, but when the entrees arrived, the difference between my husband's plate and mine was startling. He had swordfish alone in the middle of a normal sized plate. I had black bass surrounded by a delicious corn dish and another side item. I insisted my husband have some of mine, because it was more than I wanted anyway. It seems to me that the Oceanaire menu is at times a little hard to predict what sort of side item will end up on your plate. (My husband's plate should have had some garnish around it at least, I thought, to make it look less lonely.) Well, this suggestion threw everyone into a tizzy. Terrance came to apologize profusely, but I cut him off and said that suggestion was not meant to be a complaint. Everything was wonderful, as usual. It is so refreshing to have servers who care and who receive professional training to enhance the dining experience.

Food was great... Service was not ! Reservation was at 6:30 didn't leave until 10! Waitress kept disappearing. Left cash for part of bill and it "accidentally" didn't go towards the bill. If we hadn't of caught that, we would have been out the cash. Very poor service. Which is to bad because we love this place and it just seems like it has gone downhill! Won't be going back. Very disappointed.
