Oceanaire Seafood Room - Atlanta Ratings and Reviews
We were visiting Atlanta for a couple of days and one of our dinner selections was Oceanaire. We were not disappointed. Food and service was wonderful and the restaurant has great lighting and overall lovely ambiance. Oceanaire is decorated for the holidays which makes it look even more festive I would most definetly recommend this eatery.
Great! The food, and special touches (her name on menu,,,) made my wife's Birthday wonderful! As working, parents we don't get out much. It was really nice to have date night with wonderful adult food. ( Pizza and fries are normally on the menus we survey, lol)
With so many roses the thorns in our visit were a Super Distracted Waitstaff (watched other tables while talking to us)- loud area, hard to hear. The pricy adult beverage was sold with 1800 Patron but there was NONE in my wifes drink. (#Strawberry fruit drink non-alcoholic!)
We will visit again with hopes of a thornless experience.
Love this restaurant. Carried my family (11) for a evening meal before botanical Gardens. Great service. Ages ranged from 10 to 71 and EVERYONE was happy with their food. Crab cakes and scallops are over the top good. One person ordered filet and it was also good. Can’t wait to go again. Food is worth the trip and price.
Paid for the service/experience, not the food. Best part was that I indicated a special birthday on my Open Table reservation, and they prepared a Baked Alaska for the celebrant without me having to say anything to the host or server. They flame that dessert in such a dramatic way that it makes the perfect birthday dessert.
I had to bring my toddler, and although not a great setting for a kid, the staff was quite accommodating and understanding. They have crayons and some pictures to color on their menu. Kids pasta is plain for kids used to traditional spaghetti but worked with some sourdough bread and butter. Our servers, including the person busing the table, were excellent.
It was dark, good for romantic dining, not so good for poor vision and reading the menu. Sides are large and can be shared. Chicken Fried Lobster was unique. Tend to agree with others about expecting a lot more regarding taste of the food.
Felt safer parking in $5 valet but there is a public paid lot adjacent to the valet garage. Opens to city street; ask to seat inside if you don’t want to watch the buses go by all night. I did notice an 80% B score posted near their door. Would expect better for that type of restaurant but it was posted too high for me to see the details - dark room.
Avishek was a fantastic server! He just knew what to do and say to make you feel important. The food wasn’t fantastic and overly priced. I’m not worried about the price but I️ expect excellent and complex flavors. One thing I️ noticed here is they love to batter their fried seafood which isn’t my fave.
We might have hit the kitchen on an off night as the food was only fair - not up to the usual standard of excellence. Perhaps it was because we visited on a Monday night, but the restaurant was fairly busy with mostly business types and a few couples. The wait staff was as usual - outstanding - and this includes our bartender who was a VERY personable young lady that took very good care of us. Our waiter, his assistants, and the manager even called us by name multiple times and did their very best to take care of us, but the kitchen was just OK and not up to the same level as the rest of our experience. For example, my Salmon was fresh, but it seemed a little old and was starting to have a bit of a fishy taste. Good fresh salmon does not have a fishy taste. But the worst part was the lobster mac and cheese where the lobster had a distinct fishy taste which I have not experienced before at other Oceanaire restaurants (Miami). The deserts were just OK and did not finish our experience on a high note. I will give them another try as it appears to me that the kitchen just had a less than stellar night or were using old ingredients.
We selected this restuarant to celebrate my birthday. The food and drinks were superb. Our waiter's name was Derrick. He was by far the BEST waiter we have experienced in a long time. He was excellent. He made our experience memorable. We will definitely return when in town and request Derrick!
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Hostess - Valryn. Our Server - Lakeney, was excellent. She helped us with menu selections, and she made our Birthday evening delightful. We were then greeted by Manager - Devin, and then received a token by Floor Manager - Gregory. This was a Wonderful experience. We will definitely tell our friends about our Evening.

Was really looking forward to a great fresh seafood meal. It our fist time here. Didn’t mind the pricing of food was worth it. It isn’t. I ordered seared scallops. The scallops were coated with something-and menu didn’t state that. The scallops were overly salty. The risotto that came with scallops was terrible. My son had yellow-fin tuna. It was great. Boyfriend had chicken-fries lobster with grits. Grits were lumpy and lobster was mediocre. My other son had crab legs. They were good. Lobster macaroni and cheese was just ok. I’ve had better. Overall, this place is over priced for the quality of food. I would advise you to spend your money elsewhere.
