Everything about our experience was amazing. Our table was ready the minute we walked in the door. They didn't hassle us about being sat before everyone arrived. We added one person to our party without issue bc we were sat at a table larger than our party. The meal was well paced so we could enjoy every course. Our server was attentive. The manager promptly attend to the only issue we had which was not their fault. My friends treated me to a birthday dinner which Oceanaire ensured was a memorable occasion. I am a foodie & rarely can rave about ambience, service & food quality in the same experience. This was a pleasurable exception. The filet was one of the best steaks I've enjoyed in years. Perfectly fire grilled & tender enough to have eaten with a butter knife. The baked Alaska was the finale. It won't disappoint!
You have to try this place.
Sides were not hot. Seafood was undercooked. Did not adjust our bill.
We choose to dine at Oceanaire for our 1 year anniversary... We were placed in a romantic and well located booth by the window. Our server Javi was enthusiastic and attentive. We ordered the caviar which was appointed with all the appropriate accompaniments to our delight, delicious !! Escargot was good but not great, leave it to the French! Our mains PAN SEARED CHILEAN SEA BASS "DYNAMITE" and the GRILLED SWORDFISH were to perfection! To top it off Javi brought a complimentary desert, Baked Alaska, what a treat and a beautiful end to our memorable experience.
One note, they ran out of the desired wine, and as it's a well know wine we were disappointed in the stocking practice. The replacement wine was an up-charged wine..
We will return to dine again !
First time and it was great….
I took my wife and daughter here for our anniversary and it was my brides birthday. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and he gave great recommendations. The restaurant was clean and entire staff was friendly. Food orders came to the table swiftly. I had the scallops on a bed of risotto. Very delicious and cooked to perfection. I also had the lobster tail that was grilled. I personally felt it could have been left on the grill a bit longer. My wife had the filet mignon with black and blue toppings. Her entree was cooked perfectly. Our daughter had the king crab, she said it was the freshest she had ever had.
We also ordered the mashed potatoes with truffles, which tasted instant. Also for sides we had cremed corn that was delicious. And our final side was the Brussel sprouts, which were slightly undercooked. All sides come large enough that three can share. Even though some items were not to my liking when it comes to texture, the meal was seasoned well.
We finished the dinner with the complimentary baked Alaska and the apple bread pudding. Overall experience was good but a bit pricey. We spent $550 including 25% tip
Last night was my first time dining at Oceanaire. The dining room was very elegant yet modern: White tablecloth, hardwood floors, blue led candles on each table. The food… AMAZING. We ordered the crab cakes ($43), Lobster Mac & Cheese (it’s not on the menu, but if you ask for it they will prepare it, the swordfish ($73), the calamari ($18), and the Baked Alaska. Every bite was delicious, well seasoned, juicy and fresh. The experience was wonderful.
I sat in the outside tables inside. The guest at the center of the restaurant table were talking and laughing loudly, but it was ok. That was the only flaw, oh, and that I called earlier to see what the dress code was and business casual in displayed at the front podium, clearly. I seen at least, 4 people in jean shorts and gym clothes, very surprised about that. The food was awesome, the waiter was very informative and knowledgeable about the daily menu and deals. Definitely going back!
Waiter was friendly, respectful, attentive, but not interrupting.
We dined here for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Excellent experience!
Everything was perfect 🥰
It’s been about two years since I’ve been to this restaurant, and it just wasn’t up to par with past experiences.
Excellent food and service
The food was incredible. The server was hilarious and very helpful and also informative about the menu items that we didn't understand
The food was outstanding and the service was top notch! This is a great restaurant for any occasion.
Excellent food, through and through…but one thing I learned, they charge $50 to bring in outside desserts/birthday cake..
Overall good for today’s covid dining experience. I paid special attention to your dress code and dressed accordingly. I was surprised at the disregard by many of the patrons there on the night we were there. Camouflaged pants, jeans., ball caps and nasty t shirts. Probably nothing to be done after they arrived so not shut of your sign at check in desk about dress code.
Ordered the Sea bass and it was frozen in the middle. It also lacked seasoning. The blackened Salmon doesn’t taste like fish. Tasted more like chicken. My server was great, but the food was underwhelming. Definitely overrated.
The food was okay. The drinks were okay. Don’t know If I will be back. The lettuce wedge and the crab cakes were great.
Outstanding, fresh seafood. Excellent service. Great atmosphere and ambiance.
Food was just okay
Went out hoping for some comfort food on a dreary Monday night. The “heirloom” tomato app was 4 slices of regular basic tomato—hard, no flavor, green core. Small blob of mozzarella. Minuscule shavings of basil. The calamari had lousy breading, overcooked and your basic jar sauce. The clam chowder was even worse—-essence of clam, heavy on the potatoes and celery, and a butter broth, not very creamy. The kitchen staff / chef (?) should hang it up if these items are too complicated for them.
Everything was wonderful. Our meal , drinks and service . This was our first visit and we will definitely return.
The places claims to have a dress code. But men is t shirts, shorts and sneakers. Some also were wearing baseball hats at the table. Definitely not enforcing a dress code which ruins the whole specialty of the place. People looked like they were eating at a Red lobster. Definitely not a high end feel.
Our first time at the Oceanaire. Our waiter was terrific. The food - oysters, sea bass and truffle potatoes were very good. The prices seemed a bit high = $4 per oyster - but overall the service and food were wonderful..
Lovely dinner for our anniversary. Oceannaire restaurant is one of our favorites. Crabmeat salad appetizer is so good. My husband had the grilled tuna which he loved and I had the Australian lobster talk which I loved. We highly recommend them.
This was such an amazing treat. The ambiance was beautiful, service was amazing and food was excellent. We had the escargot and raw oysters to start. Also the Guava Daiquiri and espresso martini are great drink choices. For dinner I had the swordfish dynamite and my husband had the filet mignon and crab cake. Bothe was so so delicious. We ended the night with baked Alaska on the house to celebrate my husbands birthday 😊 everything was so perfect.
Shrimp cocktail not cleaned is unforgivable. Louisiana Salmon was over done and the flavors bland. Sides and salads were very good.
Let’s start with the good
excellent seat. Cozy and romantic
server was great Imani
Blackened salmon (don’t think it was actually blacken) was delicious
Calamari was probably the one of the best we’ve had Now the “just okay”
The drink. I had the patronrita. Lots of salt was inside the drink
Chop salad had a little too much dressing for our taste
Banana Foster bread pudding not the best just okay Now the bad
Gouda Mac and cheese was extremely dry and no flavor
The beans on the salmon taste like canned beans Overall an okay date night just wished the food was consistent the entire meal.
The customer service of the hostess who greeted me was substandard for a restaurant of this caliber. I arrived on time for my 5:30 pm birthday dinner reservation. The attitude of the hostess was unprofessional at best. She obviuosly hadnt a clue about customer satidfaction or perhaps simply doesn't care. After some back and forth about my seating I asked for a manager who informed the hostess to seat me at my table of choice. She did not pull out the table to allow me to slide in nor did she place the menu in my hand. She pretty much tossed the menu on the table and left me standing beside the table. I asked for the manager, Jennifer. She came to the table and after I explained to her what happened and that I was prepared to walk out and go to Chops, she took me back to the door and greeted me properly, escorted me to my table and wished me a pleasant dining experience. She introduced me to Chef Patrick who created a special appetizer and dessert for me which was outstanding. My server, Jarvis, was amazing as well. So I will say "thank you" to Jennifer, Jarvis and Chef Patrick for saving my birthday celebration.
My Wife I had a great time celebrating our wedding anniversary there. The managers and staff were very professional and courteous. We had a great time, and the food was great!
We were upset from the start as the online menu had more things to choose from . As we were told we couldn’t get the food from the online take out menu while in restaurant 🤔 . High priced for such little food , no seasoning on veggies and potatoes ! For a party of ten we couldn’t get separate checks , we definitely won’t be going back to this place .
Food is amazing, ambiance is good. For all of the gentlement out there, Oceaniare had one of the best Old Fashion drinks I ever had
Was a little disappointed that some of the food I ordered was over cooked and another item was missing.
The restaurant was virtually empty and the maître d' sat us in a corner by the restrooms and I had a wall to look at when there were tables/booths that were more appropriate. Other couples objected to being seated in our area and they were given booths....but we were already being served. After settling our bill, we asked if they covered parking as they did in 2019. The answer was no but we were flabbergasted to find out that parking was $14 for a 1 1/2 hour stay and this was on a Sunday when very few cars were there. A real downer after a nice meal...I am not sure we will be going back.
Great experience, one of our favorite restaurant to celebrate special occasions.
The flavor of the food was mediocre and came out luke warm. The staff were not warm and some of them seemed stiff/uneasy. Not a great experience.
Crab cakes are delicious, the cocktails 🍸 are awesome and service was perfect this is a definite return
A great place to spend time. Take a date or business meeting. There is no waiting. Your greeted with a smile
