Outstanding service! Very good menu. Food very well prepared. Highly recommended.
Amazing food, service and drinks. It is pricey but worth it. Large fresh portions with very very knowledgeable staff that pays attention to your needs.
Very nice restaurant! Food was great and the customer services was good.
Food was outstanding. Claire was a great server and the sommelier had excellent suggestions.
Went to Oceanaire for my birthday with family...wife, 2 teenage daughters and mother in law. We were all pleased with our dishes. Crab cakes are the best in the ATL. Grilled oysters were fresh as well as shrimp cocktail, crab cocktail, and fantastic sides (hash browns, sweet potatoes, collard greens). Service was top notch! Now I know you have to pay to play but prices are just too high. $12 for a small side of collard greens? Add a few apps, cocktails, entrees,tip/taxes, and for a family of four, as delicious as food is, a lovely night out here will easily top $400. Quality cuisine, ambiance and great service, just be sure to bring your black card!
A wonderful evening! We were a table of four and we all enjoyed our first-time experience at the Oceanaire. Service was attentive but not over-bearing; the entrees were delicious and the cocktails terrific. We will be returning when we come back to Atlanta!
The food was extremely bland and overpriced.
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience on February 22, 2019. The crabcakes were divine and the salmon was delectable! Our service was exceptional too.
Our waiter Aaron was amazing start to finish. Made the whole experience great! 10/10 recommend & ask for him if you can.
The service was terrible. I was told because the server was taking care of a large party to excuse his absence.
The crabcake appetizers were good, very expensive for 1 crab cake. The meals were the Halibut Oscar and the Mahi Mahi. Both meals lacked flavor, the fish were also dry. The 2 sides were Truffle mashed potatoes and collards greens. The potatoes were dry and heavy, had zero fluff to them. Overall for 250.00 spent, I was highly disappointed!
Food was good - not great. I expected more for the price. The service was polite, but cool. I’ve been to other Oceanaire restaurants that were more enjoyable. We spent a lot of money for an an experience that underperformed.
Lovely meal. Helpful and amiable service. Expensive, but portions are large and can be easily shared.
Awesome Food as well as Awesome Service!!!
Very nice restaurant. Waiter was very knowledgeable and made our experience great .
The food was amazing, the waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu. I will be returning
We had the whole Dover sole. It was good, but not melt-In-your mouth delicious. Our poor waitress was friendly and did the best she could, but she was assigned too many tables, and one of those had 12 patrons.
Given the price, our dinner was a disappointment.
I’m always satisfied when I dine here. Everything is perfect down to the table placement.
Great service, ambiance, and good food. The portion size could be bigger, considering the cost.
Food was under seasoned. My expectations were that of a 5 star restaurant. The hospitality was amazing, warming, inviting and the staff were knowledgeable and made the night feel very special. Rodney was the best waiter. However, the food was not the best, it was a bit bland and unflavorful for both dishes. I would give them a second try because my overall experience was great. I hope the food is better the next time.
Recently visited here for Valentine's Day and really enjoyed my visit. Ordered Lamb and Lobster Mac. The lamb was perfect but had to return the lobster mac, just felt like it could of been a little better. Service was great. Didn't wait long on my reservation, overall I was very pleased. Thanks will return
There was a female bringing the food out to the table. I think she was in management but she was rude. And then the sweet potato soufflé was cold. The lobster mac and cheese was bland. I really thought the food would taste better for how expensive the food was. I wouldn’t recommend the food. However the waiter was so sweet.
I had much higher expectations for food taste and the ambiance for the cost. If your dress is business casual, enforce the code. If you don't, you will detract from the overall experience. The server was excellent, but I rate the food at good. I could tell the house steak sauce sat refrigerated from its appearance when brought to my table. The table was wobbly, which that should be taken care of "before" the restaurant is even opened. The NY strip steak I ordered didn't have one bit of a seasoned flavor, so hence the request for steak sauce. The steak was over cooked from the medium-well I ordered, but credit goes to the server who asked if I wanted them to prepare another. My choice was no. Would I eat there again or recommend the restaurant? It was highly recommended to me, but I personally would suggest another restaurant.
Portion sizes were significantly small even for a high-end restaurant.
Everything was amazing!!! The service was excellent, we were seated immediately on a busy Valentine’s night with a reservation and the food was great. They are expensive but it’s a nice treat for special occasions. The valet parking is $5 compared to $10 parking in the area.
We were not seated at the best table. The music was loud
I had a wonderful flavorful food experience. I spent just about $200.00 on my order and left a $50 tip for my waiter Devon . Unfortunately, it was a hindering experience for his sub server to come on to my date and myself, I really didn't appreciate that part and for that reason, I will not be returning. Every business has a standard so prestigious and delectable foods. I was very insulted and uncomfortable to make the choice to be rude to him or angry with my date about the sub server and Not Devon - his service was excellent. Please make sure the same amount of checking in you do with clients, you also do with employees to make sure they are providing the proper serving etiquette .
Emanuel “Manny” - from England - really took care of us during our 20th anniversary dining experience. He knew the menu well and gave us some good recommendations that we actually took advisement of for our dinner choices. The restaurant is definitely $$$$ as far as price, but for a place like this it’s to be expected. You’re paying for the dining experience and ambiance.
One of the worst $$$$ dining experiences that I have ever had. 50 degrees outside on Valentine’s Day and the restaurant’s air conditioning was on. Was able to move to another table where the air wasn’t directly blowing on us. Appetizers were fine, and then came the steak that I ordered. First, I thought that I was imagining the horrible smell of it. I asked my wife to smell and she confirmed the spoiled scent. I cut it open and could not even bear to have it on the table. Had it replaced with another crab cake, paid for the meal and left. Will not return.
It was our first time there but definitely won’t be our last. Well worth the cost, as we love an exemplary dining experience.
I had the most amazing and custom birthday experience at The Oceanaire tonight. Thank you Manny from Kent. You were amazing. You and my father’s comedy and your phenomenal service made this quite the birthday event! Thank you.
Thank you alt. Oceanaire the food was awesome
Great ambiance and fantastic service. Great plus for celebrating the wife's birthday!! She truly enjoyed it!!
Went just for some shared items and drinks. The crab cake was okay, the seafood Greek salad was good. The calamari was really bad to me. Overly breaded, overly spicy, rubbery and didn’t taste fresh at all. The prices were over the top too and the quality didn’t match. It’s probably a nice place for happy hour where prices are reduced but I was disappointed to leave there spending as much as I did for a Red Lobster experience, food-wise.
My service was excellent. The service team was very attentive and made sure the evening was a great experience. The food... the food was excellent. I highly recommend the Oysters Rock and the crabcakes. The collards and mashed sweet potato sides were excellent as well.
I was very excited to celebrate my birthday with my family at this restaurant. My expectations were high, as I understood this was a high end establishment. I previewed the menu online and decided it matched my sophisticated palette. When we arrived, Josh was initially very attentive, but then was unavailable once the appetizers were served. He over promised and under delivered. For example, he promised to bring bread and lemons which never arrived. Once the appetizers were finished, the attendant who offered up transitional conversation, mistakenly believed we had just finished our meal and were ready for dessert. This was an indication of how long we sat without our server Josh checking in. We were not asked if we wanted more water or drinks. My sister had to reach over to the ice bucket to get sparking water to refill our glasses. Although we ordered 2 lobster bisques at the same time, they came out 20 minutes apart. The meal my sister ordered from the menu without any special requests came out not as described. The swordfish came out topped with a crab cake, however she was expecting crab meat with a beurre blanc as indicated. It was sent back. The dish came out a second time and Josh desperately tried to convince her that there was beurre blanc on her plate, however it was a lemon and oil sauce, which was an insult as we are dining connisseurs. Once we displayed dissatisfaction, Josh contacted the manager. To our surprise, he came over to the table in a failed attempt to remedy the situation by asking "How can I help you?" As we never asked for a manager, his demeanor was less than one who wanted to help. In the end, the food was delicious, even for my sister who did not get what she ordered. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are looking for exquisite service for the price point that it demands.
It was a little pricey, albeit excellent dining experience. The staff were polite and very professional, the food was exquisite and the atmosphere was very comfortable and calming. We really enjoyed dining there and would recommend it for a nice romantic dinner for two. Leave the kids at home!
