It was amazing!!! Food was great and view was everything!! Definitely recommend sitting outside!! Can’t wait to go back!! Also recommend the Seafood risotto, it was delicious! Sat with Giselle she was very tentative. Thank you again for great service!
As usual Sunday brunch was excellent. Fantastic food and ocean view
I can't believe how disappointing this place was. We narrowed it down to ocean2000 or blue m**n for our annual ladies brunch. We decided on ocean2000 because none of us had been there and brunch on the beach sounded great. Huge mistake. The food was bad. Not just average, it was bad. The crab claws and shrimp were flavorless. I'm not sure how that happens, but it was almost like they had been frozen and then defrosted by soaking in water and all the flavor just soaked out. Oysters were tiny, dried out and whoever shucked them did a terrible job. They were extremely gritty. The sushi boat was only salmon and imitation crab, no tuna. The WORST part of the seafood was the snow crabs, they were old and tasted like they were going bad with a slight ammonia taste. Prime rib was decent, but they only had medium cooked. Muffins in eggs Benedict were soggy and desserts were bland. Salad bar was good, chocolate fountain was good, but that's really it. Our waitress was nice enough, but she was either over seated or just not paying attention. We had piles of plates that sat in our way for entirely too long. My girlfriend watched the server at the carving station use his bare hands to pull a piece of garnish that was stuck on the snapper he was serving and toss it right back into the main dish. I've had $30 buffets that were much BETTER than this. If you are trying to find a decent brunch buffet, do yourself a huge favor and go to the place mentioned above. Price is exactly the same but there is absolutely no comparison in the quality of food. I rarely give bad reviews, but this place deserves it. I gave it two stars because of the scenery/ setting. The bartender at the bar by the pool and they guy who manned the umbrellas and chairs on the beach were both great. Unfortunately the brunch was terrible. =(
Hmmmm...this is a mixed review. This restaurant has an amazing porch, available for drinks and dinner. It's waterfront and gorgeous. We chose to go out there and be seated. The menu is high end for Florida, and entrees range in the 30-40 dollars, After we were seated, we realized that they had a mediocre, live band playing at a high decibel level on the porch. The music was terrible and beyond loud. We gave up our seats and asked to be seated inside, where it was quiet. Others around us, were complaining about this terrible choice of music. I had been excited about sitting on their porch. We have stayed at this hotel before, and the porch is beautiful. Completely ruined by this excessive and inappropriate music for our lovely dinner with friends. Our server Joe, was terrific and we had a wonderful dinner, inside However, we will NOT be going back, due to the horrible music. The goal was to have been out there.
Excellent food and service. Our server Lillie was awesome! I went here for brunch and dinner had excellent service both times.
The location and ambiance with the sea view are excellent and very romantic. The food was of high quality. The service was excellent and fast.
I absolutely love this place! The food is always great, music is very lively and the mimosas are bottomless.
You can never go wrong with there food
This was my second visit, both times with a small group of friends. Once for lunch, once for dinner. I felt that lunch was the better option. Both times we had seating on the verandah and both times that was very nice for the view. The dinner seating was accompanied by live music -- nice, but I actually could have done without it. The meals were all well done and nicely portioned but not very adventuresome. All in all, I recommend the restaurant.
Even though it was very windy, enjoyed oceanfront dining & live music!
Great food, service and ambiance. Loved it and recommended to others who booked a reservation right away.
Great service; excellent, fresh food, great presentation.
Beautiful scenery , right on the ocean
Easter buffet. Excellent food. Good quality. Pleasant staff.
Went there for Easter and the service was good and the ambiance was wonderful. Sat outside and the weather wa great. Many food options to choose from.
I love the Pelican Grand; but, I didn't think the Easter prix fixe buffet was worth $85.00.
Checked in for 1245 reservation at 12; had requested veranda and asked to confirm if we’d be seated on veranda
Was told by young lady that veranda was on first come basis
I was the only one in line!!!
We sat outside for 5 min and saw a vacant table on the veranda; I decided to ask again if we could be seated early as it wasn’t terribly busy and if we could have the vacant table
Gentleman was very nice and we were seated immediately!!!
Food was ok
Eggs Benedict had no ham; they used salmon
Shrimp were limp ;many pastries but nothing outstanding
Caesar salad soaked with dressing suggest dressing on the side
View terrific; waiter was terrific;
We did an Easter Sunday Brunch here and it was fantastic. A little pricey, but everything was top notch.
Very pleasant ocean side dining.
Went for lunch. Good menu. Food was good but a little overpriced for what it was.
Nice waitress made us feel right at home suggested meals not only for myself and my wife but also our kids overall great experience
It was a wonderful meal and location. Our service was great. The orange chocolate cake was great.
Location and ambiance are wonderful. We have been to this restaurant twice In the past year, and both times, have had very slow service (water not filled, drinks not provided timely (more than 20 minutes), check ins on how things were going, getting the bill, etc. and we weren’t in a hurry). THe food was ok but for the price was not of value.
I went here for Sunday brunch with my family and this happened to be our first time coming here. We were very disappointed with the brunch buffet and service provided relating to the buffet. The outside view is very beautiful however, this does not overcome the subpar buffet at a $65 price point ($70 including valet). I have been to many brunch places that offer complimentary valet for guests. We did get there a little late around 2 pm and the buffet was slim pickings. Now some may argue “first come first serve” but if you are paying $65 for brunch, the least they could do was refill the paella which was empty by the time we got there and remained that way for nearly an hour. Also, we were told by our server and someone who I am assuming was the manager that the buffet ended at three but, they failed to tell us that the plates are collected at 2:45 so technically the buffet ends at 2:45. This was very disappointing being misinformed and paying for one plate of the scraps that were left. The quality of the food could have been better but maybe it just had been sitting for too long. If you want delicious brunch, a beautiful view, excellent service and complimentary valet, I highly recommend Shooters Waterfront instead.
Great for brunch....service can be a little better but otherwise a great location and a good brunch. The hotel needs some updating though...
The food was outstanding and I server Jackie was very pleasant
Went for brunch. The view was gorgeous!!! The food was good and we had an amazing waitress Sharon!
The server was excellent, however the young woman seating us was not accomodating insisted that an empty table outside was already taken. Table was empty for more than 20 minutes after we were seated inside. I am not sure how that is consired “first come, first serve”. We were a party of 6, we were very disappointed. We have been here before and have brought friends along, unfurtunately this visit was very unpleasant and disappointing.
Mitch was our server. He was the best server we’ve ever had. Professional, extremely knowledgeable and very kind!
Made for the scenery, food is ok we think its a bit pricey but great service...
The Mussels appetizer was very tasty, but our request for extra toast pints fell on deaf ears.
The main courses were very tasty as well. The dessert special was a Chocolate cherry cake, but didn’t have any chocolate which is why we ordered it. We let a manager know to which their reply was that the cake had white chocolate and a chocolate mousse.... there was no white chocolate and the chocolate mousse was actually whipped cream on the side.
Our server was standoffish. Appetizers took 30 minutes to arrive. Our entrees arrived 1.5 hours into the dining service. I had always had a great experience here and chose this restaurant for our anniversary. We most likely won’t be back except for the Brunch.
The menu looked amazing, which is what brought us in. The veranda seating was beautiful- was nice even on a cool eve with the outdoor heaters. The service was very slow & the restaurant was not very busy. We had the feeling they were trying to run up the alcohol tab- it took almost half an hour to bring our apps (a salad & a burrata dish). The meals looked amazing, but the actual execution of cooking was only mediocre. The burrata was so mild it was almost tasteless. The tuna dish was pretty good- beautiful piece of tuna, very rare just as we ordered- but I am pretty sure the sauce was store bought sweet chili sauce with some chopped up papaya/mango. Similar on the mahi mahi dish. Beautiful piece of mahi, but overcooked. The sauce & rice with the mahi was tasty, but the overcooked fish kind of ruined it. I noted to the server that it was overcooked (I was clear that I wasn't looking for anything to be comped, just feedback for the chef), and he offered to have another cooked (which we declined), but he changed with us for the rest of the evening. Now slow and much less friendly. If you can be really patient, want take in a beautiful view, and be forgiving on execution, you'll really love this place. Because there are so many other great seafood focused places in Fort Lauderdale, I wouldn't run back here, though we overall enjoyed the evening.
The restaurant is a little dowdy but does have an ocean view. The food was excellent with larger portion sizes. The service was excellent as well.
3 months of dating an angel
One of the most amazing restaurants I’ve been to! Sat oceanside, seated just as the sun was going down. Our server was excellent and the beachside ambience was amazing, and a nice break from the predominantly tourist hotspots to eat in the area. Would recommend the seafood mushroom risotto. This restaurant is a must try!
I enjoyed this resturant but I felt the vegetarian options were very limited to just salad. Even though the chef made the pasta I requested they charged me way extra for that. I went to another restaurant next door they had at least 5 vegetarian options (e.g. flat breads). I would come again but make it more vegetarian friendly. Even the bar they had nothing but French fries. But excellent ambiance. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for meat eaters.
Nice place, my best recommendations
View & service was great. Yuca and slaw lacked flavor. Surprised by the small amount of fish for the price. I will give the restaurant another try by ordering a different dish. It is worth the view!
Nice view but service was lacking. Upon arrival, no host, wait staff scrambled to get us and others our tables (made reservations). It took 45 minutes to have our drinks served. Another nearby table left before their drinks arrived because they experienced the same thing. The waiter did his best and we felt bad for him - seemed to be a back of house / management issue. Unfortunate as it was recommended to us - will not be returning and has turned us off staying at resort.
I was there Tues 3/13/18 @ 1:00pm with my sister who just flew in from Delaware and thought what a place for her and her husband to be is at the beach for lunch and beautiful weather. However, the waiter was extremely nice and gave us time to catch up w family during some cocktails.
The waiter them came to us to see if we were ready to order which we did. Approx. 20 minutes later a different waiter came up to us stating our lunches should arrive shortly. Once again we forgot about all time due to being w family and enjoying the weather and beautiful sites.
However by brother in law stated WOW IM SOOOOOO HUNGRY. We then noticed that it was 1 1/2 hrs later since we placed our order. Which I always had to walk inside to find someone to order a cocktail. Unexceptibale!
At that time our original waiter who I think was Jaun Carlos asked us how was our lunch and would we be interested on desert ?
I’ve stated to him..... WOW, You have to be kidding ! We didn’t even get our lunch yet. He was mortified and stated he was on break and it must of slipped the cracks. The party of 4 of us was totally frustrated and STARVING But must important as my guest I was totally imbarresed.
The final bill was just short of $200.00. Which is fine BUT NO APOLOGY, NO LET ME SEE WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOUR BILL, PLUS I PAID ALMOST $30 for valet parking. We got married their last June and I’m appalled of this imbarrasing experience with my out of town family.
Not sure if I’ll ever return.
Very disappointing

Server kept trying to up sell even after being asked not to. Food ok, but extremely overpriced for what it was. We split a Caesar Salad- no flavor what so ever. $30 for a piece of salmon that wasn’t even center cut, we left feeling ripped off.
Amazing attention to detail in all food and drinks. Attentive and active service
