Ocean2000 Ratings and Reviews
Just to tell one of client was very upset about his place and the manager tried to resolve the problem (the children close to him) anyway it wasn't interesting for us, we had supposed to be there for romance. Maybe the restaurant should assigne a side with family and the other side for couple. The police came at the end. I know it's very difficult with the public so it's the reason I put 2 stars for ambiance.
UNEXPECTED AMAZING ACTION ABOVE AND BEYOND.
Food, ambience, service were all excellent.
We had dinner on Veterans Day and I asked our server to play a joke on my friend thanking him for paying for my meal since it was Veterans Day. Our server, Nathan asked if I was a veteran and I replied yes. Nathan said he would be right back. He returned in a few minutes with the manager, Silvio. They took my dinner off the bill, presented me with a bottle of wine called Purple Hearts and thanked me for my service ( which was a long time ago ). I was flabbergasted. Gives me the chills just writing about it.
THANK YOU and THANK YOU to all Veterans.
Fort Lauderdale ( not a military post—-lol )
Beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere on the veranda. Food is very good and service is good. Valet parking is for 2 hours @$5.00...over 2 hours and price goes to $14 which is a little unreasonable. Suggest extending the $5.00 fee to at least 3 hours for the restaurant.
When walking inside the restaurant, we were seated by the host and greeted immediately by our server Juan Carlos .
The menu is very interesting, very island style.
My burger was cooked to perfection and my mother’s salad was well presented.
The view over the ocean and the great and professional service from Juan Carlos will bring us back to the beautiful hotel and restaurant.
People like Juan is what’s unique
The food was delicious, the staff are attentive and friendly, the view is magnificent, and our server let us order the best gelato from the ice cream shop in the hotel (even though it wasn't on the menu!) 5-stars all around. Will definitely be going back soon. The cheese and meat appetizer was phenomenal and my tuna steak was perfect cooked and very flavorful. There was a wedding celebration going on next to us, which was slightly distracting, but the staff knew how to handle it very well. Overall I was very impressed.
The ambience was amazing - but the food was a little off. The scallops are drenched in a brown gravy which is not really good. Then we switched to things that could not be screwed up like the charcuterie board and shrimp cocktail. Good selection of wines. Great for apps and drinks. Dinner menu needs work
Great scenic view. Clean. Service was good. Outdoor eating was great. The food was average at best. The pan seared scallops were bathing in a brown gravy sauce. Not tasty at all. The maple -guava glazed salmon was average. Had a BBQ flavor. Not exactly what you expect salmon to be flavor with! Did not taste the maple nor guava glaze either!. Dessert was chocolate lava cake. Was ok tasting. The whip cream tasted old and refrigerated. Setting great but food not so great.
The food was about a three and a half. The cappuccino was the best I've had in a while. The ambiance was beyond a five! It was so beautiful and right on the ocean. It is worth going just for the view. The service was ok. Be prepared to spend a while at dinner. It was fine for us as we were not in a hurry and sat enjoying the view as we waited. All the servers were very nice, but it seemed they were running around and maybe they didn't have enough wait staff, thus making the service a bit slow. Therefore, I recommend coming for he view and relaxing while waiting for the food.
Upon arrival to the restaurant, it was hard not to notice how warm the restaurant was. Yes, the doors to the back of the restaurant open to the beach, but the front entrance way where most of the food was served was hot and humid as well. The seafood was not chilled properly and the station with the meats, cheese, fish dips and ceviche were sitting on wood plans and not chilled. Nothing worse than warm fish, meat and eating facility.
I was very disappointed of the food taste, quality and the comfort level of such a high priced hotel and brunch.
Costly for the amount of food you get. Ahi tuna dish was not as tasty or tender as I have had previously. My husband and another friend had scallops and there were two crawfish included which rellayvar not filling. The plate had three scallops.
Sylvia provided phenomenal service.
I sat outside and went in mid-July when there was zero breeze. Although the scenery was beautiful it was miserably hot which is not their fault. I should have sat inside but it just didn't feel as special and I was with out of town guests. I would imagine sitting out on their porch area in any season other than Summer would be much nicer. Food was good but nothing spectacular and not a large selection of menu items. There were no specials and our server of course recommended the 3 most expensive items on the menu. I got the scallops which were good but I was still hungry after and I'm not a big girl. For $37 a plate wish I was a little more satisfied afterward. The wine list was on an iPad which was confusing for some of my older guests. I would give it a second try in cooler weather. The ambiance is what you pay for but my mom did say the salmon was excellent and more filling.
This restaurant never fails to impress. Many of the same servers have been there for several years, which says a lot. They have recently updated their menu and the food was amazing. Request a table on the sand and dine under the stars. A terrific full-moon destination!
Ambiance and view are outstanding and the staff was attentive albeit a bit slow; nonetheless, the large detractor was the quality of the food, which was not below average, but was just "average." More was expected as far as quality of food than was found here.
We sat outside with a stunning ocean view. There was a beach wedding going on at the time which added to the fantastic setting. While a bit warm outside, the ocean breezes kept the temperature tolerable. The food was good if a bit pricy but well worth the extra funds to have the gorgeous setting.
