outstanding in every way from the friendliness of the staff to the quality of the food Xavier was an outstanding waiter I highly recommend this restaurant
Went here with my bride for our 20th Anniversary. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive. I made reservations through OpenTable 3 weeks prior to date and happened to mention it was our anniversary. When I called the day of to confirm my reservation the hostess mentioned our anniversary and said everything was all set. She wasn’t lying. The staff had a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean, a sweet and excellent waitress, and put together a special personalized 20th Anniversary dessert for us. Our waitress even waited for my wife to go to the restroom before coming over to confirm all the details so
It would remain a surprise. The hostess also came over to congratulate us and was very warm and attentive. Great food, beautiful view and very nice looking hostel.
Anniversary dinner- expect to pay for on the water ambiance. Main dishes were just ok.
Their jumbo shrimp were small- medium size and not worth $5 / piece. We sent them back. The Vegas were frozen mixed vegetables by Birdseye with the bbq salmon.
Nothing special at all. The filet was just ok- 6-8 ounce
With 3 asparagus. Again nothing special. The bread plate you had to pay extra for - 4-6$ ridiculous !
The view was the best part but I’m sure you can find other places where you can get both good food and a view!
We have been to Oceans 2000 many times but this visit was a disappointment.
We were a party of five but were told they could not suit us together as they did not push tables together. We were therefore seated at the far end of the terrace on hightop tables which they were prepared to move.
There were four tables empty in the main dining area all evening where we could easily have been seated.
We found ourselves next to the entertainment where it was impossible to have a conversation.
The problem they have is that the dining area is around 50 feet long and the entertainment and their speakers are another 15 feet away. If you are seated at the Northern end of the terrace you are not going to hear yourself think.
This restaurant is inside the Pelican Grand hotel and right on the beach. Very beautiful to sit outside and dine. They have a tropical style menu. We had the salmon and a tomato and buratta salad. All very good.
Good was good, ambience excellent, service poor
Manager apologized and gave us a credit on our bill
Great view. Dinner on the beach. Food was good, but missing sauces on the oysters was a bit of a disappointment. Salmon was wonderful aaaand so was the lobster mac n cheese.
We sat outside at ocean 2000 and it was amazing. The food was great and the service was just as good. Great place to take a date or for an anniversary.
Great view. Outdoor area is lovely. Food was just okay. The lunch menu is okay but very limited. Wish they had more variety. I have been to the restaurant a number of times. Service isn’t very consistent but overall okay.
Natasha and Javier excelente service
Profesional and warming
If you are at the beach, you should be AT THE BEACH. The tables on the patio put you AT the beach. But the 5 on the Dunes put you ON the beach. Beautiful, romantic setting. (But it’s windy on the beach so have a jacket.) it’s our favorite place for a quiet scenic or romantic evening.
Awesone! Great food practically on the beach. The food: amazing! We toik snapper, tuna and salmon and the tuna tartare. We were all very satisfied!
Beautiful spot but service took a very long time for a simple order. Will go back for the view but food and service can use improvement.
We had our family Christmas dinner there and had enjoyed it enormously! On that day they offered a 5 course menu. Every course was excellent and wonderfully composed and aligned with each other. The pepper stake with the 'jus' was out of this world and gives a 'steak sauce' a new meaning. The crew was professional and super friendly from the server to the manager and Santa Claus :) We loved the modern, stylish yet cozy ambience and the wonderful Christmas decoration. We will definitely come here again. Can't wait to try the Sunday brunch.
We had a Christmas Dinner for three. The food was ok but not $150 per head good. It was five courses: the squash bisque came with a skin on top after standing too long under the lamps . The turkey was good but the dish was only tepid - my wife had to send hers back to get warmed up - and became cold in the breeze. Desserts were unremarkable cheesecake and chocolate torte. Our wine choice was unavailable and we found out too late that the server’s recommendation was twice the price. Overall a disappointment.
Only the christmas eve menue at $90.00. Food precooked and cold. Lobby no place to sit down. No cushions on the couch. Started our dinner 7.30 hre and 8.30hre out of the building
Beautiful Christmas Eve lunch on the Veranda. The ocean view, juts steps from the sand is stunning. The appetizers were delicious, and the drinks were just right. Overall, a great way to enjoy the ocean, food and tranquility just minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Second brunch visit. Wonderful selection of food choices. Service exceptional. The manager recognized me even though she hasn't seen me in a few years. She was so warm and welcoming. The food is displayed beautifully and the views cannot be beat!
You must visit this resort! This restaurant was outstanding! The food, service, location, and ambiance was truly unforgettable!
Gisele was our wait person, and was incredible. The hostess/owner was so much fun, tge food was great on the verandah with a gorgeous ocean view. Go!
Excellent Customer Service, Great food with stunning sea view.
Dining on the veranda overlooking palm trees, surf, and the beach was quite romantic! Service was attentive without being too forward. The mussels, chops, and the truffled risotto dishes were all quite good. All in all a memorable evening!
Just fabulous! Thanks so much. Can't wait to tell all my friends.
A bit pricey, so for us it, this restaurant is a special occasion place. Still, the food was great and the service was unhurried so you can sit back and enjoy the experience. Too cool to sit outside the night we were there but the outdoor area looked very nice as the ocean is nearby. We will be back to try the Sunday brunch some time.
We had a spectacular lunch on the Veranda on a Friday. The food was great and the staff were so friendly. But the setting. A cool briny breeze off the ocean drifted in as we ate. It was so beautiful. You're outside but protected by the building (so not getting blasted by the sun). It was magical.
Had my 10th anniversary here and it was the best decision I made. I don't know how any other night would have been, but a Sunday around 7 it's quiet and perfect for and intimate night with your partner. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Giszell was our waiter and she was very informative and willing to accommodate us for an experience that we will remember for a lifetime, Thankyou.
Too expensive for the buffet - perhaps arriving at 1:30 was too late.
Hostess was phenomenal (cant recall her name but was Italian I know )
Marta, server..... incredible.
Best view and day to celebrate my birthday.
Cannot wait to return.
All things done right!!
The BEST Sunday brunch ever! Amazing quality, tons of delicious food. Best bet to make a reservation and when you get there early, ask to sit on the covered verandah. Beautiful beach views
Ambiance was great but the service was extremely slow.
Bad service !! Nice view , food ok
We live close by and it feels good once in awhile to go a little extra for ambience ! This was just perfect !!
Wow! Oceanside dining does not get any better...we were 10 feet from the sand on a full moon with a soft breeze! Food was perfection and our server, Javier was great!
Considering going back again tonight and taking our friends that are soon to arrive.
Conch chowder had no conch and vegetables in soup were raw. Beautiful view and ambience Friendly service.
The WORST Thanksgiving dinner I have ever had in 58 years on this earth. The food was a C at best and they ran out of Turkey and none of my family had any. How do you run a restaurant and not have enough turkey to serve on Thanksgiving? Seriously?!. Extremely poor planning. I would stay clear of this highly over rated establishment. Even if you look past the poor planning of not enough turkey, the quality of the food was sub par. More than a disappointing experience for what is supposed to be an exceptionally rated establishment
View was great! The $90 buffet was mediocre!!! Toughest beef tenderloin ever; over seasoned turkey; the rock crabs and oysters were not fresh.... in addition to that; on a not so busy night; the service was not up to par.
A horrible choice made to celebrate thanksgiving.
Would never return.
Thank you for making my husband’s first Thanksgiving a completely special occasion. This was one for the books, from the amazing staff, great food and the Veranda seating it was truly a special holiday! Thank you.
Typically I stay away from buffet dinners but it was five star all the way will go back.
The place isbeautiful. We have gone for the past 4 years. Price is too high for what u get. Turkey this year was awful. Not whole birds. I think we will be going somewhere else next year. Too expensive now not worth it. 90.00 for buffet with average food.
