One of the best Brunch in Miami...
Definitely would return!! Convenient parking, perfect ambiance, excellent service & loved the entertainment
Amazing atmosphere, especially on the veranda. Perfect for a romantic diner or breakfast/brunch. The service is also top notch from the waiters/waitresses to the manager. Everybody is very nice. Highly recommend this restaurant👍
It was quite frankly terrible. The waiter tried to make up for it, but food was late, not split as requested and not prepared the way it was on the menu. Had a magical time 2 years ago, this time epic fail. Response from management was to not charge for the meal we didn’t order or eat and took 20% off check. Not likely to return.
Beautiful view of the ocean, food was exquisite. Service was impeccable, truly amazing and very impressive.
I made this reservation 3 weeks prior, received confirmation but when we arrived they said there were no tables available.. (!) They did not offer for us to wait, only when I showed my upsetting then they took us in and there were several tables available!! This can ruin anybody's evening mood, don't anyone cares about it over there?
Beautiful view, very good service, the food was delicious.
WILL COME BACK AGAIN
The food was AMAZING. Staff very friendly. Location perfect. We sat outside over looking the ocean. Just Beautiful
food and service surpassed my expectations making for a very pleasant and fulfilling dinner
Ocean 2000 has everything going for it, except exceptional food. Sitting on the veranda is heaven. Service is professional, friendly, and elegant. But a restaurant is only as good as its food, and we found it mediocre and disappointing. If we were eating at a chain restaurant, it wouldn’t have been bad, but for such high prices, and given the location, it should have been amazing. Artisan bread are rolls that could have come from the supermarket. Conch chowder was good. Salad was also good. But nothing was exceptional, and it was disappointing. That said, the ambiance, service, and location are lovely. An amazing chef would make make this restaurant 5 star.
Our service was slow, but our server was very pleasant. Food was average, at best. The setting was great.
I hate to write negative reviews but this time I decided to take time to do it about this restaurant that has left me embarrassed with the small party of four that I just recently invited for lunch. It started with the $7.00 valet fee (which would be acceptable if you didn't have to wait in your car 12 minutes for the relentless unloading of the luggage of a minivan of hotel guests who had just arrived at their destination a minute before us. In fact they never thought about a different quick lane for restaurant patrons). We were then accommodated on the veranda: but the only option there was a raised table. Honestly not as comfortable as a regular one for us. But we would have overlooked all that had the food we ordered been decent. The whole selection of our orders was less than acceptable. We stared with a "conch soup" which was a salty tomatoey broth with no trace of conch in it, and a platter of fried calamari which had the size of plancton covered in a thick soft and oily batter. The rubbery Asian noodles with chicken was inedible in its consistency. (Truly horrible). My Fish-n'chips main dish was skimpy in quantity and thickly battered. Not sure if they served Cassava chips or regular potato... I didn't even bother to ask what was different. The Pei Mussels were overly cooked into a shrunken mess. In other words: the food was simply disastrous and having been personally responsible for the selection of the venue, I felt embarrassed and disappointed.
This was one of the best brunches of my life!! Spectacular food. I was so happy!
The best place for a somptuous brunch in front of the Ocean in Fort Lauderdale.
Exceptional service - Great View if seated on balcony and food was great. Had live music and song selection was great and fit the atmosphere. Music level was perfect
We went to Ocean 2000 expecting a wonderful menu to choose our dinner entrees from and were somewhat disappointed by the sparse menu. I ordered the chicken and it was fine and had a nice sauce. My husband ordered the filet and he said it was just ok. The other items were seafood and the mahi was over cooked and the other was fair. Very little sauce and not a hot meal. There was a wedding going on so we heard their music when eating. The service was good as was the view from the outdoor patio where we were sitting. I felt the food was fair but overpriced for what we got and would most likely try a different restaurant before going back to Ocean 2000 even though we will be staying there in April.
Food was ok but not for the price paid per dish
The menu does not have many options and they charge bread as an appetizer...
I requested changing potatoes on my dish for asparagus and did not happen, had to order them on the side, got 5 boiled asparagus with no presentation at all...
Service was great
The restaurant feels lonely, not much people
The only complaint I have is that the restaurant wasn’t very busy when I was there and the food took to much time to arrive.
Average food, very overpriced for what you get. Restaurant is in a hotel but Open Table doesn't disclose this point. Hotel restaurants are rarely good and this is the second time I have been burned by not knowing the restaurant was in a hotel. Wished that Open Table would disclose that point.
outstanding in every way from the friendliness of the staff to the quality of the food Xavier was an outstanding waiter I highly recommend this restaurant
Went here with my bride for our 20th Anniversary. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive. I made reservations through OpenTable 3 weeks prior to date and happened to mention it was our anniversary. When I called the day of to confirm my reservation the hostess mentioned our anniversary and said everything was all set. She wasn’t lying. The staff had a beautiful setting overlooking the ocean, a sweet and excellent waitress, and put together a special personalized 20th Anniversary dessert for us. Our waitress even waited for my wife to go to the restroom before coming over to confirm all the details so
It would remain a surprise. The hostess also came over to congratulate us and was very warm and attentive. Great food, beautiful view and very nice looking hostel.
Anniversary dinner- expect to pay for on the water ambiance. Main dishes were just ok.
Their jumbo shrimp were small- medium size and not worth $5 / piece. We sent them back. The Vegas were frozen mixed vegetables by Birdseye with the bbq salmon.
Nothing special at all. The filet was just ok- 6-8 ounce
With 3 asparagus. Again nothing special. The bread plate you had to pay extra for - 4-6$ ridiculous !
The view was the best part but I’m sure you can find other places where you can get both good food and a view!
We have been to Oceans 2000 many times but this visit was a disappointment.
We were a party of five but were told they could not suit us together as they did not push tables together. We were therefore seated at the far end of the terrace on hightop tables which they were prepared to move.
There were four tables empty in the main dining area all evening where we could easily have been seated.
We found ourselves next to the entertainment where it was impossible to have a conversation.
The problem they have is that the dining area is around 50 feet long and the entertainment and their speakers are another 15 feet away. If you are seated at the Northern end of the terrace you are not going to hear yourself think.
This restaurant is inside the Pelican Grand hotel and right on the beach. Very beautiful to sit outside and dine. They have a tropical style menu. We had the salmon and a tomato and buratta salad. All very good.
Good was good, ambience excellent, service poor
Manager apologized and gave us a credit on our bill
Great view. Dinner on the beach. Food was good, but missing sauces on the oysters was a bit of a disappointment. Salmon was wonderful aaaand so was the lobster mac n cheese.
We sat outside at ocean 2000 and it was amazing. The food was great and the service was just as good. Great place to take a date or for an anniversary.
Great view. Outdoor area is lovely. Food was just okay. The lunch menu is okay but very limited. Wish they had more variety. I have been to the restaurant a number of times. Service isn’t very consistent but overall okay.
Natasha and Javier excelente service
Profesional and warming
Went here for New Year’s Eve, the scene was really pretty and the food was good. But not worth $150 per person good. Nowhere did it say anything about it being $150 per person. Our waitress did not answer questions concerning how many plates we could get. On top of that, card didt go through because she swiped it wrong, but came back claiming I canceled my card or did not have money in there. Worse insult to anyone is calling them broke. Would not come back again for that reason
If you are at the beach, you should be AT THE BEACH. The tables on the patio put you AT the beach. But the 5 on the Dunes put you ON the beach. Beautiful, romantic setting. (But it’s windy on the beach so have a jacket.) it’s our favorite place for a quiet scenic or romantic evening.
Awesone! Great food practically on the beach. The food: amazing! We toik snapper, tuna and salmon and the tuna tartare. We were all very satisfied!
Beautiful spot but service took a very long time for a simple order. Will go back for the view but food and service can use improvement.
We had our family Christmas dinner there and had enjoyed it enormously! On that day they offered a 5 course menu. Every course was excellent and wonderfully composed and aligned with each other. The pepper stake with the 'jus' was out of this world and gives a 'steak sauce' a new meaning. The crew was professional and super friendly from the server to the manager and Santa Claus :) We loved the modern, stylish yet cozy ambience and the wonderful Christmas decoration. We will definitely come here again. Can't wait to try the Sunday brunch.
We had a Christmas Dinner for three. The food was ok but not $150 per head good. It was five courses: the squash bisque came with a skin on top after standing too long under the lamps . The turkey was good but the dish was only tepid - my wife had to send hers back to get warmed up - and became cold in the breeze. Desserts were unremarkable cheesecake and chocolate torte. Our wine choice was unavailable and we found out too late that the server’s recommendation was twice the price. Overall a disappointment.
Only the christmas eve menue at $90.00. Food precooked and cold. Lobby no place to sit down. No cushions on the couch. Started our dinner 7.30 hre and 8.30hre out of the building
