Ocean Prime - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
The special entrée was excellent (NY steak) but we were surprise/shocked at the price - double the most expensive entrée on the menu. I should have asked, but it is customary to be told the price when being offered specials. other than that an awesome evening
Hubby and I were placed in one of the curtained banquets, and it made for a wonderful romantic dinner. We're foodies and were surprised at the quality of this chain restaurant. Went to another seafood/steakhouse down the road the night before (the one with "Fish" in the name), because someone recommended that for the price you also receive salad and sides. Do yourself a favor and pay for the food and service!
First time and wasn’t disappointed. Excellent service, warm and tasty bread, great calamari starter and my filet and lobster were wonderful! All four of us enjoyed all courses and the experience immensely.
It may be anathema to utter another restaurant’s name in a review, but this place is the closest I’ve come to my favorite dining spot, Mastro’s. They even have a butter cake dessert, that, while not quite as good as Mastro’s, is delicious!! We also had the peanut butter with chocolate pie and that’s a no-brain winner too!
Would not hesitate to recommend.
My husband and I decided last minute to go out to dinner for the night after a very long week. The place was a little quite when we arrived at 7:30p but by 8p it was more lively.
To start, we ordered 1/2 dozen order of raw oysters (Half west coast & half east coast). I preferred the east coast as they were meatier. The west coast was really small and saltier.
We also tried the scallop and short rib appetizer which was EXCELLENT. We were scooping the remains of the sauce off the plate.
For our entrees my husband ordered the special of the night which was a wagyu strip steak which was amazing! It was $100 for the steak but it was a very large piece and tender as butter. I seriously thought they had grilled it in a sweet sauce but after checking with the chef it was only butter, salt and pepper. It was the meat that was so sweet and savory. Delicious!
I ordered the Ahi Tuna entree which was the basic run of the mill tuna dish. Good but nothing I would have to go back to the restaurant to have again. The side of kale & cauliflower was ok. I normally love these types of veggies but the kale was a little over cooked and stuck to the roof of my mouth. Overall we will be back again!
We had another enjoyable experience at Ocean Prime.
Lori always makes sure we have a great time. She always has a smile and makes us feel appreciated as regulars.
The good is great and the bar is fun, and it’s a great place for an upscale dinner. The bar has several TV’s, so it’s the best choice for upscale dining in the bar during football season.
It was our first time dining here. It was recommended by a friend. We flew in from NYC and had a great New Years Eve celebration. The food was delicous and the team was so fun for the midnight champaign toast! We LOVED that the entire team was there to celebrate the New Year with a toast! What a great way to celebrate your team and how you value them. That impressed us the most!
Went to Ocean Prime for parents anniversary and had a nice time. Service was impeccable. The server provided free champagne and desert for my parents anniversary which was very gracious and unexpected. The menu is pricey and I would probably only go for special occasions unless they had a reasonable happy hour.
The best meal we have ever had! We started with the Prime roll and had their Tomahawk Sirloin with a side of the jalapeño scalloped potatoes, sea bass, and the scallops. Everything was delicious!! Peter was very attentive and made sure our night was perfect!
Food was exceptional - party of 4 had crab cakes, scallops, filet, ribeye entrees. Shared salads. All were prepared perfectly - attractive presentation. Service from waitress, Page, was outstanding. Noise level (+ odd background music) became somewhat disturbing as dining room filled with holiday crowd. Overall great experience and would definitely return.
