This was our 3rd time eating at Ocean Prime and each time the food is impeccable and the service is outstanding. The staff goes out of their way to make your experience memorable and caters to whatever special occasion you are celebrating. Marco, our server, exemplified these qualities. One of the few places you can confidently say is well worth the price.
Food and service was excellent!
Our waiter Paul was AWESOME!!! He suggested the catch of the day and it was also the perfect dish.
Despite listing our reservation as Birthday on OpenTable and mentioning the dinner was in celebration for 2 birthdays when confirming the reservation via phone call, not once was it mentioned or slightly indicated we were celebrating. Ron, our server, was highly disinterested in his job and flat out gave us the impression he absolutely hated his job. I had to ask him what the specials were. Not once did we ever see him smile. Very unfortunate to have him for our celebration. Will never revisit ocean prime.
Service was was excellent, waiter couldn’t have been better. My wife and two boys was with me. My wife had the crab cakes witch were very good. My boys and I had the Wagyu strip. $65 for 14oz. Was good but I’ve had better steak from my local butcher. All our steaks were cooked medium and perfectly. Mine had a tough gristle around the outside but the center was very tender. I would prolly wouldn’t order it again. Overall was a good steak just not worth $65.
Food, service, and atmosphere all very good. Well done.
Valet service was a mess. Waited 15 minutes for car. No one in charge. Had ending memory on good evening.
Food was good, but not worth the price. Oysters were the most expensive oysters I've ever had, and I used to live in NYC! They didn't come with anything special, either. I would've preferred more horseradish and lemon, and maybe some vinegar sauce accoutrement. They put the horseradish in a small dish with ketchup, so you had to scoop out the horseradish and try not to get any ketchup along the way. The prices of the dishes are what I would've expected at something like Charlie Trotters in Chicago (RIP), where the food is unlike anything you've ever eaten, but sadly, this restaurant did not meet expectations to the price. The cocktails were the best part of the entire meal.
This place is top notch. I will difficulty go back again. U will not be disappointed trust me.
This was our first time here and we went for Valentine's Day. It is a nice restaurant with a fancier feel that is not too over the top, so still comfortable if you're not a huge fancy dining person. The scallops, red snapper, bread, and crab cake appetizer were delicious. The lobster bisque was very bland however, so would not recommend. The service was great overall. It did take a while for our server to come at the beginning, but after that he was great (friendly, helpful, and attentive). It is a bit overpriced overall, but again a good place for an occasion or trying something new if you love seafood.
