Ocean One Bar and Grille Ratings and Reviews
The food was decent/okay and was reasonably priced vs some of the other Vegas restaurants however, the service was quite poor. Took a long time for each course, plates/empty dishes were not cleared from the table (we still had appetizer plates piled in the middle of the table when we paid for our bill). And due to the delays we had to leave without getting the dessert we ordered as we would've been late for a show. We weren't expecting WOW but certainly should've been better service.
We usually eat here when we visit Las Vegas. The food is generally reasonable and good. We came for the breakfast special which was a fair price. The only criticism I have is that the price of the coffee was somewhat outrageous which brings the price of the "special" to a "not so special" price.
This place was super convenient for our large group of 13. Affordable, too!
We had to push back the reservation a couple of times and they were able to do that. The server was excellent and very kind. Despite bringing my friend the soda she ordered early on, she was overall very forth coming, and honest.
Also the steak was delicious. And they had a really great 3 drinks/$10 deal. One improvement could be the paper menus...those had stains on it, which I was worried about, but the food and deals were great.
I would go again.
We had a lot of meat for the past couple of days so wanted some fish.
Our wait staff suggested the blackened mahi mahi and when it came , there is this big chunk of fish resting on a huge bed of rice. Let me tell you, the fish is moist and tender, the rice has some black beans and cubed veges in there and the seasoning in the rice is spot on!
I had the mahi sandwich, fish is grilled and good but the bun needs some butter or mayo?
So 2 beer + the above 2 meals came to $33 We highly recommend the restaurant for a hearty casual meal.
The restaurant was a little tough to get to as it is in a mall. It was not terribly crowded and we were there at 7pm. They do take reservations. Food was ok and the price was good. As we all know you get what you pay for!
3 for 1 drinks was GREAT and saved a fortune for our group..
A drink is $10 and so is three so we each had 3 glasses of wine for $10. a real steal.
Would go back as I know how to get there now. Three of us had Pasta with a white sauce two with chicken one plain and I had the seared tuna. All in all a nice experience and out of the casino noise.
After being seated by the hostess we waited almost FIFTEEN minutes before anyone came to greet us, bring water, etc. The restaurant had quite a few empty tables and there was not a wait to get in. Many servers walked by us but not one of them stopped. Our food was ok but of all the restaurants to choose from in Vegas we would not return or recommend Ocean One Bar and Grille.
Was looking for a fun and not over the top place for a big group of out of town folks. The food was not good whatsoever; I ordered a white pizza and a Greek salad. The dressing on the salad was weird and not Greek and the pizza had a lot of cheese and terrible crust. Cocktails were gross and my wine was the cheapest I've ever had. I recommend this to someone who doesn't care about enjoying a good meal and just wants something quick and easy and nothing special.
Food was just ok. Staff was ok with us, but argued with the table next to us. The place was almost empty on a Friday night after shows...should have been a sign. :( Had reservations, but didn't need them. Nobody in the restaurant, but they had run out of calamari and French fries???? For some reason they cancelled our open table reservation...after we ate there...so I never even got my points.
We dined here for dinner early on a Wednesday night around 5pm. We were almost the only people in the restaurant. Although we were a little concerned by how quiet it was, the food was good and the service was as well. My steak was cooked perfectly as well as my husband's chicken, the only thing we would change is the vegetables. The mixture of veggies wasn't very good and didn't seem that fresh. Overall a nice ambiance and dining experience.
The food was good. The portions were okay.
On their dessert menu, they have something called Peanut butter chocolate cheesecake. I didn't detect any cheesecake whatsoever, which is not something I'm complaining about (because I don't care for cheesecake).
So, what I wanted to say is that it was more like the most delicious peanut butter chocolate cake that I've ever tasted. The balance between chocolate and peanut butter was perfect and so was the sweetness. It came with peanuts, which was a plus.
If anything, I highly recommend going here just for that.
There are far better places to eat in Las Vegas. The warm goat cheese salad had inedible dressing and the cheese was not warm. Service was slow to non-existent despite being only ~1/4 full. The restaurant even notified OpenTable that we were a "no show" and when I went back there to show the manager my receipt, he was rude and took it as a joke. He even asked me to "forge" a new reservation at the restaurant and then he would show me as having been there. He didn't want to make the simple effort to call OpenTable and correct his mistake. Avoid this place; they really don't like people.
We have made reservation for a group of 14. When we arrived at the restaurant , the hostess seems a little surprised to see us. We told her about our reservation, she said she just got there and don't know anything about it. She managed to try to set up the table for, bur she put us in two tables. When we asked we would like to sit together, she said she can't do that. Finally another waiter moved the table for us. Meanwhile we all stood there and waited for the table to be set up.
However, besides that, we all enjoyed the food and had a great times.
P.s. Also the restaurant staff took pictures for us and charged $10.00 per piece, I thought they should give the pictures to us as a courtesy since we spent a lots for our dinner.
