I really don't think you can get anything that is not exceptional!! I got two of the small plates (Beef and Mushroom Salad and Rice Flour Fried Oysters) and My dining partner got the Grouper with all kinds of wonderful accompaniments and set ups...the Dijon cream sauce I could spread on a piece of cardboard and eat it--its that good. Its cozy and the drinks are always fresh and the warm yeast bread out of the oven makes you swoon
we have eaten here once before and decided to come in this week while we were on vacation. The drinks and food were excellent. The servers wore masks and we were all socially distanced. We were very pleased.
We had an amazing experience at Ocean Boulevard which we have come to expect from them! Absolutely perfect!
One of the Best meals on the Outer Banks. Loved the catfish and the beef tenderloin. Donny the owner was great and Tom the waiter was one of the Best. We will definitely back over the holidays.
Great food, drinks, and service! I don’t usually order chicken out but the chicken with mashed and greens on the bar menu was recommended and it was fabulous!!
This is not the first time we havd eaten here. Everytime to visit Kitty Hawk this is a must for us many times during our vacation.
We’ve dined at Ocean Boulevard many times over the years and have never been disappointed.
On this visit we were a party of six. The dinner was delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Great Food, first and foremost, menu always changing with something new and excellent to try. Great staff. Social distancing and masks enforced, as well as barriers (hardly noticeable) between tables. And the cocktails and martinis are excellent.
Everything was good except the arugula and pumpkin seed pesto on the tuna
The menu has a little something for everyone. cocktails are fantastic and the wine selection is extensive. You can choose comfort food-OB Mac n cheese- or something more elegant like seared duck breast or lamb chops. I definitely recommend.
They were amazing for our anniversary dinner. Prices appeared a little on the high side, but the quality of the food and the staff surpassed our expectations. I will come back every time I’m in OBX.
Great food in a romantic atmosphere on the beach road. They've maintained a high level of quality, both in food and service, for many years. I had the beef skewers as an appetizer, which were delicious and enough for two to share, and the roasted half-chicken. Karen, the bartender, made a delicious rye Manhattan, and the food was delivered on time but not too rushed. Note that OB has erected acrylic shields at the bar and between some of the booths, making the experience safer for those worried about coronavirus transmission.
Food is always excellent and they have done a great job modifying dining room to allay Covid issues.
Always great at Ocean Blvd. service was great with Karen, we had a great time! Thank you all!
Excellent diner for both my husband and me. We started with the Pepper Seared Rare Tuna to share. Then I ordered the Pan Roasted Duck Breast. My husband ordered the Rack of Lamb. Both entrees were prepared to the requested medium for the duck and medium rare for the lamb. Attractive plate presentation as well as having great flavor contrasts. Highly recommend for a special night out as a couple or group of four.
Tables were spaced well apart so we were comfortable eating here during the Covid pandemic.
We will definitely come here again when we visit the OBX.
Loved our food, especially the chicken livers! Also had the sashimi appetizer which was really good, and we both had Caesar salads with extra white anchovies.
Loved our waiter Kendall. He hand made me 3 jumbo olives filled with white anchovies for my very good martini. We are going back for one more dinner tomorrow night, and have asked for Kendall. Twice in one vacation week.
Thank you for great food and service.
Cass and Jay Bevis
Kendall had wonderful suggestions. He helped us with our wine selection and our food selection as well.
Top notch as usual. Always a wonderful experience.
Upstairs dining is only mediocre. Sit down stairs if you can. AND, away from the upstairs "private" room! Service was slow. Food was adequate only....
This place is always on our list when we visit OBX. The sophisticated yet approachable menu, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful wait staff, and a casual but quiet vibe make Ocean Blvd. someplace one should not miss.
Great food great service atmosphere was good all in all very enjoyable
We dine here every time we visit the OBX and fails to disappoint. We like more than beach dining and this fits the bill. Go back every time.
Great food, service, and ambiance. Would definitely return.
As always the food was excellent. It is clear Ocean Blvd is taking the necessary precautions for Covid at the same time offering an exceptional atmosphere.
Always a highlight of our annual Outer Banks trip.
After a 30 min wait we were seated at a table that was empty all during this time. In fact there were several. Apparently our Open Table reservation was a guide line. Not happy.
We had a wonderful dinner at Ocean Blvd Bistro. It was our first time. The atmosphere was romantic. Loved the table cloths. My husband had the special of yellowfin tuna and it was excellent. Cooked rare and was very delicious. I had the filet mignon. The sauce was to die for. We had creme brûlée for dessert, another favorite our ours. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food & great service from Tom S. Timed perfectly & food was delicious. Very enjoyable dining experience.
Good food and service
AJ was great at keeping our table clean and waters filled. Very personable and easy to talk to. A real gem.
The food was incredible. Kendall was our server and did a great job. The wine menu was on point as well. Every plate was unique and delicious. You can tell they take pride in the food and care about what they serve. I can’t think of anything that wasn’t perfect. My wife and I enjoyed a great anniversary dinner here. If we visit the OBX again we will definitely be back.
A favorite delivers again. We'll return on our next OBX trip.
Chef prepared a fantastic seafood special and the swordfish was also excellent.
Wine list great.
My husband and I absolutely loved our time at Ocean Boulevard, it is never a bad experience and the staff and food are the best in the beach.
On a trip during which I ate at the Colington Cafe, Blue Point Bar and Grill, Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant, Kill Devil Grill and Blue Moon Beach Grill, I am sorry to say that this meal was the most disappointing by far. I started with the crab bisque with shrimp; the shrimp still had the tails on, so I had to use a knife and fork to cut them—not an easy task when the shrimp are in the middle of the soup bowl. Not only that, but there did not seem to be much puréed crab in my bisque. I ordered the 7 lettuce salad as my second course; it was good, but the goat cheese was the dominant flavor. My third course, the pork chop saltimbocca, was the worst course. I asked that it be cooked medium, but it was well-done. It was so tough that a saw would have been a preferred utensil to the sharp knife that I was given. I thought about pouring some water on the pork chop because it was so dry. My jaws became tired from all of the chewing. For my last course, I ordered the chocolate gateau, which was described by my server as the equivalent of a chocolate lava cake; well, mine was certainly not warm like chocolate lava cakes that I have eaten all my life, but even “putting that to one side,” it was just okay. Overall, the meal was not close to satisfying the reputation of the restaurant.
Outstanding food. Exceptional service. The waitress gave us lap blankets to take off the chill on the patio. Red snapper, swordfish and duck entrees all excellent. Good selection of beers and wines by the glass. Best meal since covid hit.
Our first visit and Ocean Blvd did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the social dining set up was very comfortable. The exception to our evening was our waiter. It was his first or second evening there and he was OUT-standing. Thank you for a great evening!
We always hit Ocean Blvd during any trip to the OBX. Would have been 5 stars across the board save for my wife’s falafel being extremely dry. A dipping sauce or other option would be a nice complement. My puppy drum (the fish special) was perfectly cooked.
We were extremely impressed with the COVID precautions. The food was excellent as always as was the service. We can always count on a great experience here. Thank you!
