About Ocean @ The Crescent Beach Club
Set within one of Long Island’s most spectacular waterfront venues, Ocean provides guests with an unparalleled dining experience and setting. The restaurant’s architecture, which includes floating sculptures of fish chasing squid through the dining room is bettered only by the panoramic views of the Atlantic waters as they arrive on the beach of the Long Island Sound.
The re-conceptualised new American menu is an unpretentious and honest approach to using quality products (both seasonal and organic) by skilled artisans in a way to provide the best epicurean experience. Our professional and devoted service will make any occasion worth remembering.

Ocean @ The Crescent Beach Club Ratings and Reviews
The Ocean restaurant is usually a great place to eat, but tonight's meal was just average. My husband had steak frites, which was good, but the seafood pasta lacked seafood and taste. $ baby shrimp, 5 mussels and 3 rings of calamari is not my idea of seafood pasta. The pasta was bland and tasteless. I also heard other customers complain as well. Not a good night overall. Plus a 35 minutes wait when you have reservations just isn't acceptable!
We return often for the view of the Long Island Sound, the staff and the food. Cannot beat the value of January's special pricing. We have been to brunch 2 weeks in a row and plan to return again next week! My kids even return during the week with friends!! Love the staff, especially! Can't say enough. Great food, great value. Don't miss this tucked away gem on the water for a very welcoming dining experience!
Salmon was delicious, came with rice which was ok. French onion soup was ok, Caesar salad was very good. Dessert we had some kind of banana crumb which was aliittle too sweet and should be served with ice cream. This is the first time I was there. Was told that the view is beautiful but it was night and couldnt see anything
As always the food and service were great. Parking situation was a bit annoying that evening due to an event that started at 7pm which resulted in vehicles being blocked in for 30 minutes. However, the manager of Ocean went out of his way to help locate the owners of the vehicles and get them moved.
The food was okay, kind of expensive for what it was. Three different waiters came up to take our drink order, so the staff seemed disorganized. The setting is beautiful, right on the water with palm trees. I would return next summer for the view and the ambiance, but not just for the food.
we went for our anniversary - we were married at the Crescent Beach Club 7 years ago. We try to get back for a brunch each year. The service, atmosphere and food are still wonderful. We brought the kids this time and were able to treat them to a fun spin on French toast - Fruity Pebbles French Toast.
I took my daughter there who turned 21. They made it very enjoyable and very memorable....it was a great birthday. Food was delicious and service was great. Ambiance was beautiful and we were there for sundown ...which was amazing. Joe the manager is great...he was very busy but took time to come and talk to us. Thanks for everything Joe...we will be back soon.. with husband too! Ocean is one of my favorites!!!
We got married here so this place holds special meaning to us. Unbelievable view and ambiance, food is very good, not great. However you are going there for the view and setting.
We recently came back from a trip to Barbados and it reminded us of the island.
Highly recommend for special occasions and summer nights.
Have been there several times and always very pleased with food, service and location. On this visit we were promptly seated but then we waited over 10 minutes before the waiter came to our table, introduced himself and rattled off 2 specials. No one in our party of 6 understood him. In fact I'm still not sure if the special was catfish or codfish! He was immediately ready to take food orders when we said we would like to order drinks first. One order for a very dry martini came back totally wrong...he must have told the bartender martini with double vermouth! We told him we would like a few minutes before ordering food. We were out for a leisure dinner, not "hurry and eat." I ordered edamame, ginger salad and sushi. I was tolt it all came together. I'm still not sure why. I have ordered it in many restaurants across the country and never had to have all 3 in front of me while some of my group had their appetizers. We then all had finished our drinks and appetizers and we sat waiting and waiting. The manager came over and asked if we needed anything. He went and got us cocktails/wine and had our plates cleared. Finally our dinners came and they were delicious as always. Our waiter came back and we ordered after dinner drinks. Two of the after dinner drinks, lemoncello, came back as lemon drop cocktails. Desert was fine. I am glad my group realized it was the waiter and not "Ocean," that was disappointing. He either needed better training or perhaps a different assignment.
It's all about the view of Long Island Sound. That's it.
The waiter was good, but the overall service was unsatisfactory. The waiter was very busy and spread too thin. We waited at the table for 15-20 minutes for the waiter to just get to us and take our drink order. The food was eh... and a lot of money for what you pay. The drinks were generally tasteless. There was a wedding in progress and the dining area for us was beyond noisy. I had to yell at my wife across the table. We were sitting out on the first floor patio on a bright sunny Sunday afternoon in September. If you want to spend $200+ for some mediocre food and slow service with a beautiful view, this is the place.
thw hostess, fiddling with an electronic device, declined to even greet us for several minutes. The waitstaff couldn't remember any single item belonging to a particular diner, and didn't seem to care. The salads were of the quality that, if I found in my refrigerator, would have been discarded. Uninspired, not attractive and limp. Can't beat the view at this place, but the food is just OK, and the service never even approaches excellent
