Ocean @ The Crescent Beach Club
Set within one of Long Island’s most spectacular waterfront venues, Ocean provides guests with an unparalleled dining experience and setting. The restaurant’s architecture, which includes floating sculptures of fish chasing squid through the dining room is bettered only by the panoramic views of the Atlantic waters as they arrive on the beach of the Long Island Sound.
The re-conceptualized new American menu is an unpretentious and honest approach to using quality products (both seasonal and organic) by skilled artisans in a way to provide the best epicurean experience. Our professional and devoted service will make any occasion worth remembering.

Exactly what we needed for my 13year olds bday! Mel Barcos went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Our server Spencer was beyond phenomenal and obtained and was very serious about current pandemic situation. All rules and protocols were followers by the staff and the manager and we will be happy to come here again.
We came in to celebrate my daughters 13th bday and started considering this place for her sweet 16 celebration!
Thanks again Mel and Spencer, the dynamic duo!
My husband and I were seated and never attended too again until an order of calamari was placed on our table by accident. After requesting to see a waiter we ordered mojitos and a few appetizers. This place is definitely not a sushi place! even though they have a wide variety. It’s more of an American bland kind of place. The shrimp appetizer was flooded in sauce, the California rolls were very bland and the mojitos were very sour and poorly put together. Now for the meals; we ordered the herb chicken—- SUPER BLAND! No flavor. The chicken was super tough to cut through also. It’s definitely not marinated, so there’s no flavor there. The only things I enjoyed about this place is the views and the Bailey’s tiramisu. That’s it! And throughout our entire date, our waiter checked on us maybe once. Most of the times I had to signal him to come over. So is it worth the drive? Nope. Maybe if you live close by. But for us, nope. The restaurant itself is very beautiful though. But unfortunately that’s all it has to offer.
Great setting and view. Feel like you’re on a Caribbean Island watching sunset! Good food and service with class.
As always great service, good food and beautiful ambiance.
my parents live in queens and we live out here in long island. we invited them to come to this place and they had a blast. the food was delicious the view was even better. nothing beats sitting with loved ones and feeling a nice tropical breeze.
Excellent service and a creative menu. The bee is spectacular, and it is a treat to sit outdoors.
Thank you for a memorable experience at Ocean!
Very relaxing and nice place to have lunch overlooking the ocean.
It was great because of Lisa! She is awesome! Also; Covid protocols were handled very well.
Spacious, beautiful interior in a gorgeous waterfront setting. The entire staff (security at entry, hostess, waitstaff, etc.) is extremely courteous and professional- nothing was a problem, everything done with a smile. Food was excellent, we will be back!
All the food was way to salty, dynamite shirimp was nightmare. cocktails were stink with cheap alcohol smell, pasta was overcooked, couldn't even touch clam and mussels due to not fresh at all, lobster taste like rubber that they probably kept it for a week. Had to ask three waiters to get napkin, took us 10mins wait for check. Never ever going back to this place for sure. Hope they shut down so perhaps new restaurant can be open at the spot.
Great place for a good time.
We made reservations but still had to wait 30 min to be seated.
The food was not great. We ordered a couple of specials including a steak and it was very average. The rest was just ok, nothing special. The prices they charge for mediocre food is outrageous. The bill was outrageous. We were willing to pay good money for this special occasion, but we expected a much better culinary experience. Instead it was mediocre at best.
Took us 20 min to get seated. No waiter came up to our table for 30 min. People who came in after us got help before us. We left without even placing out order. Horrible service
Fantastic overall experience. Sunset was beautiful. Food and drink were terrific and social distancing was very much in place. Would not hesitate to return
The chaos of crowds waiting around before and after we ate was not in compliance with legal rules for dining during covid19. Arrival times should have been staggered in 5 min time slots. Tape needed to be on floor showing people where to stand. Security guards should have directed diners to wait apart from other groups. Staff did not socially distance from customers. No sign was outside rest room reminding people to socially distance. No instruction was posted or given limiting the number of people in ladies room. It was also concerning that silverware was dirty and menus were reused.
Everything was perfect except for the fact that even with a reservation you have to wait at least 20 minutes to be seated and the guy at the door seems to chose whom to seat first.
Happy hour was awesome. Half price sushi apps and cocktails. Service was very good.
A Long Island gem! Outdoor dining is spectacular. One can easily imagine being on a tropical island. Sushi, lobster and other sea food are beautifully presented and delicious. My only negative remark is that one of the servers was wearing the mask below his nose. The rest of the staff acted responsibly as far as we noticed.
Great location, great staff, great music( is not easy to find nice music), personally they need to work on the food, missed with sand, taco fish was cold and dry, the white wine was not chilled at the right temperature.
If in the area I will definitely give another chance.
We were four people. THree of us ordered New York strip streak. THE steak for all three of us was very tough and was even hard to cut and to chew. We complained and only one dinner was taken off the menu. Poor business choice. Will not go back.
The way this restaurant handled reservations was ideal during these crazy pandemic times. A gentleman greets you outside takes your name and checks you in. Everyone waits outside and the majority of people did wear their masks... I was disappointed that the mask wearing was not policed better.
We did pick a magnificent evening to dine outside and the view of the sun setting was spectacular. Food was very tasty... but $24.00 for a burger is high... in addition the price of a martini of $16.00 is about 25% over The price of most restaurants.
It was my birthday. Would have preferred to have been out at at table closer to the railing to get a view of the sunset as I had requested on Open Table. Mahi Mahi tacos were on the bland side. Shrimp appetizer was on the salty side. Bread pudding bites were delicious.
Beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious. We had oysters, shrimp and lobster rolls which were amazing.
The setting is beautiful if you sit outside but the menu was quite limited and the service was almost adequate. The food is quite a bit more casual than the prices.
Great venue for dinner or an event, I like to sit outside, but this time, there wasn't any availability to do so. Im hoping to get there a couple more times this season before it gets too cold! The sushi menu is so fresh and tasty, Surf and Turf were also great.
Very good food ,portions were very good service was excellent
Food was not very good. And alcoholic beverages are watered down.
Made a reservation. Had to wait 40 minutes before having to complain to get a table. Food was ok. Not worth the price. $95 for a surf n turf?
Too much cream in the crepes and not enough berries. The calamari, kids chicken tenders and banana bites were great. Fish tacos bland. Over all, I paid a hefty price basically for the nice view. Place outdated. Felt I was in the 80s but not the deal breaker.
Beautiful place. The staff was amazing and very attentive. The food was good. A meal for two people which had the appetizer, entree, a bottle of rose and dessert which came to be under $200. Overall with the food and impeccable view I would give this place a 10/10 for sure.
Beautiful views and ambience felt like I was in the carribean. Food was good service outstanding. Couldn’t hear the live calypso band which was unfortunate. Overall would return.
The seating after having a reservation, needs attention - A radio suggested. Service. food and ambience was excellent. GREAT time, will return soon.
The view was awesome and Katlyn our server was excellent
We sat outside and the view of the LI Sound was absolutely beautiful! There was live reggae/calypso music, that just added to the ambience and made you feel like you were on an exotic island! The food was good, the drinks even better! I would highly recommend Ocean for any occasion...
The waiter provided subpar service. My husband and I was dining with our 1 year old son, and we ordered him chicken fingers with fries, the fries came back very crunchy and hard., even to our standards as adults. When I asked her if it could be replaced, she told me tha!t was the way the fries came. However, I had asked the server to replace them and he immediately obliged and did not provide a rebuttal. Clearly, our 1 year old did not have the capacity to eat those hard fries but she was not sympathetic enough to notice or give a dam. We were very annoyed and hurt. WE WILL NOT COME BACK
food was great and our waitress was so nice and attentive. She was awesome.
Had to wait an hour outside to be seated. Missed the sunset. Not happy about that
We celebrated my birthday and the staff was so polite and accommodating! Great experience and views!
Amazing place, great food and ambiance
I already mentioned on the reservation form, it is my anniversary day. There was no cake or anything for us. So disappointed
