Beautiful atmosphere excellent service!
We had a 25 minute wait even though we had a reservation.
Went there for our anniversary dinner. We have been there before and had a very nice experience. We ended up having our same waiter that we had two years ago and he remembered us which was very thoughtful. Food was good and we were not rushed. Overall a very good experience.
Very disappointed to see that many waiters were not masked as well as hostess and other staff. Additionally tables were not distanced at all.
Strip Steak was terrible. All other food items were good.
Great experience as always, from hostesses, servers, busboys, etc.
Wonderful view! Great food !
Bad food and service
Good location and view
We enjoyed our lobster dinner at Ocean. A Thursday night special gave you three courses of generous servings. Everything was cooked to perfection.
Always a great experience at Ocean! Love the food, drinks and views!
Gorgeous view!! Lobster sliders and cocktails were delicious. Hamburger was not that good. Cocktails were amazing!
We did not have a good experience.
After ordering our server told us he gave us the wrong information about specials. They were out of fish. Asked for water, the busboy only poured one glass. There were two of us. Never got refills.
My husbands food came out 20 minutes before mine (even though he put his order in 30 minutes after mine given the mix up with being out of food). I ordered sushi- it was dry and not fresh at all!
There was also a large party seated in front of us - they were all standing up walking around and taking photos …completely obstructing the view. Ruining the ambiance. Not to mention we are still dealing with covid and these people were in our personal space. No apologies from anyone regarding poor service/experience.
To add insult to injury, the very mediocre food is exorbitantly priced. Half a dozen clams, a salad, 2 sushi rolls and 2 cocktails- over $200. We won’t return.
Very nice place my husband and I love the place it has an amazing view food, drink and service was excellent will be returning
Nice place. Great food, beautiful view. Noise level can be a bit high.
We have been to this restaurant a few other times during the summer months.
The location and view is beautiful! The service is adequate but the food is definitely lacking. This most recent time we had the calamari app. which was mushy not fried properly and had zero taste. We had the coconut shrimp which tasted like the frozen ones you buy from restaurant depot but was actually the best tasting thing we had. :(
We decided to share their special of the night which was supposed to be Bronzino over risotto? The bronzino was fileted but only 1/2 of the fish was served?? The risitto was Not risotto... but mush with Mangoes in it. The flavor profile was one of the strangest we ever had and not in a good way. The banana bread pudding dessert was actually their winner of the night. Go for the view but eat elsewhere...
We had a nice experience, really nice view, food was good and service was friendly.
Great food and services. We really enjoyed anniversary dinner with my family.
There is no reason other than the view to go to Ocean at the Crescent Beach Club. We waited over an hour past our reservation time and then placed at a table that not a single person was comfortable or had enough room to sit. The isle was no existent with inches between chairs. We were told you can’t reserve tables outside but yet a table for ten in a much more comfortable seating area was waiting for its guests. They refused to move us. There were endless problems, everything from a very long wait for food to dirty dishes and glasses left on the table as the next food items were brought out. The food we did get was just fair. The waiter truly tried and we tipped him well, not his fault. We’ve been here several times and each visit we are reminded why we visit so infrequently, this time will be our last. It’s a beautiful spot with the worst operations.
Excellent view, below average food
We had the special sushi roll that evening and a spicy red dragon roll. The service was great and the view can’t be beat
Horrible luncheon ridiculous request from hostess
Not allowing a substitute for rice with a potato. Chef REFUSED to accommodate customers at table caused a huge embarrassing scene in ding room thanks to an obnoxious hostess Samantha, unprofessional dopey kid sent to table to argue with patrons not busy lunch time 3 people in dining room ! No manager no owner no one to help or to speak too ! Lost customers !
Pity all over the way we were treated over a potato!
We ate outside and it was very pleasant. Service and food was very good, but the food and drinks were overpriced.
We've eaten there multiple times on a Sunday. No clue why there was techno club music blasting in the dining area but it was pretty disturbing. Not fans of screaming across to talk to each other.
I never write bad reviews. I always look for all of the positives as I believe most places can have off nights. However, the service I experienced last night was one of the worst I have ever in my life. 8 PM reservation was told would not be seated for an additional 40 minutes. Positives, was seated in 30 minutes. However, once seated nobody came to the table to take our order for food or drink for an additional 30 minutes. And that was only because I flag down two different waitstaff. At that point they still could not locate who was supposed to take care of the table we were at so as a positive the Second wait staff that I flagged down after being ignored by the first, did take our order but still did not receive our food for another 20 minutes. Food was just OK. Would definitely not recommend nor will I return.
Celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary. This was our 2nd dining experience with Crescent Beach Club. Excellent food and service.
Outstanding service, meals prepared to perfection
Went to Ocean Restaurant for the first time with family and close friends after hearing so many wonderful things about it. This hidden jewel in the north shore of Long Island did not disappoint. Service was impeccable from the moment we were greeted by their general manager Mel, who gave us a spectacular table with an amazing view of the sunset, and checked on us periodically without being overbearing and yet maintaining his professionalism sans the stuffiness other high end places exude. Brandon our server was fabulous and quite accommodating with our particular needs; my girlfriends were in love. I barely write reviews, but this one I couldn’t pass up. Looking forward to our next visit at Ocean and many many more …
We were very disappointed with the service at Ocean tonight. Our reservation was for outdoor dining and it wasn't available. We were seated inside and served our appetizers there. Then we were moved outside and served our entrees. One of our orders was never place so we had to wait 40 minutes for it to be brought out. By that time everyone else's food was cold because we waited for the other order to be brought out. We didn't want my sons girlfriend to eat her meal alone when it came out. We told this to the waitress but she even didn't offer to keep them warm; she told us to eat them while they were still hot. The manager came over and didn't charge us for that meal and dessert and said sometimes things like this happen. She was just very non chalant about it; like she didn't care. We will not be patronizing this restaurant ever again and I would NOT recommend dining here.
Chairs are very low and unless you are tall, you won’t get to experience the beautiful view from your seat!
Great view, great cocktails, great dessert and good food (I do wish there were more options) My particular dish was delicious! (Linguini with seafood in a lobster cream sauce)
My wife and I went out for a late lunch on a Sunday. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view. Our waitress was great. Our drinks were delicious. I had a tasty Old Fashioned and my wife said her white sangria was the best she ever had. We started off with spinach and artichoke dip and a Cesar salad, both of which were delicious. We shared our entrees: the Hoisin Chicken and the Filet Mignon. The chicken was alright. I wouldn’t order it again but it was satisfactory. The filet was perfect, as were the sides that came with both dishes. For dessert we shared the banana bread with ice cream. One of the best desserts we ever had. The items on the menu are a bit pricey, but our meal and experience was worth every penny.
We really enjoyed our dinner. The ambience is lovely. I think there should be more fish dishes for a restaurant called Ocean. We would come back
Very Good food. The view was great ambiance was very good.
Waitress was very rude
The view is beautiful from the restaurant!!!! The food is delicious!!!
Had a great time, treated royal, the view outstanding..fabulous place
Beautiful views.. perfect for a summers night.
Food quality is fair. Lobster roll nothing special
at all.. especially for $36.00 plus tip and tax.
Martinis $19-.. would not run back . The waiter
Mark.. very nice. Service is quick.. all about
Being outside looking at the water but not the food.
Disappointed by our table. Service was very slow. We went for a special occasion, which I was told would be acknowledged, but it was not.
Overpriced, took way to long to get food, no social distancing table literally next to each other and overall value for money not worth it at all won’t be going back
