Calamari was excellent as were the pork chops.
Loved this place! The food was delicious and service was great as well. We got our food very fast.
It's a good place to hang out with friends. I would go again.
Pho bo was delicious !!! Perfect for a cold winter day . Recommended !
Bu lo lak as well. Beef cubes in an amazing sauce !!! Michelin recommended
Great food and great atmosphere
I SPENT TWO WEEKS EATING MY WAY THROUGH THAILAND, OBAO HAS THE BEST TASTING THAI FOOD I EVER HAD, EQUAL TO MY THAILAND EXPERIENCE!
IT’S A MUST TRY IF YOU LOVE THAI... CALAMARI, DRUNKEN NOODLES... WERE BEYOND INCREDIBLE... AND THE DUMPLINGS, PAPAYA SALAD WERE VERY GOOD !
I absolutely adored Obao and the food is so good! The drinks are really great as well, we tried four different ones.
Good food with friendly service. However, being from the west coast, we have had better Vietnamese and Thai food elsewhere
I had a wonderful night. The service was awesome the staff was well attentive to our needs. I will be heading back real soon.
Great food! The drunken noodles were really nice,
Great food and the waiter was super friendly. The pad see ew with beef was amazing. The duck noodles were ok but not as good. Thai iced tea was really good too.
service could be better
Amazing food and waiter was friendly! Really impressed with their flavors.
This place was delicious! Will definitely be coming here each time I visit the city. Best pho and pad Thai I’ve ever had. Great cocktails and apps as well!
Loved the food got massamam and pad Thai best drink ever fig Tinu kimchi fries and dumplings
Food was amazing and the drinks wets delicious!
Came here on October 26th, which was a gloomy rainy day, but I wanted to visit for dinner with my husband for my birthday. It was sparkling clean, we sat inside in a corner, and there were only two other diners across the other side of the restaurant. Fast service, delicious drinks, mouth watering food (and super helpful waitress, as I have lots of allergies like gluten, soy, egg, milk, etc. and I got to try something new, which never is this easy!!). Thank you for making my birthday dinner memorable!
Great food and accommodation
Great customer service
indoor seating was close together
Never disappoints! My go-to Vietnamese restaurant in the city.
The best experience for our family
Accommodating
We had dinner there. The food was really good. Especially papaya salad and Tom Yum soup where amazing. One downside was that the service was too quick. We haven’t finished our appetizers when the mains already arrived. That was too much of a rush. Maybe suitable for lunch but not for dinner. The other downside was the Riesling which was very sweet and more like ice wine.
Amazing food, atmosphere and service for good value. Only complaint was that it felt a little rushed but apart from that a great meal in NYC
This was a return visit for me from a few years ago. I was I. The city with my sister and knew she would love it. I was right. The food and service was wonderful. The crab fried rice, Pho and papaya salad were delicious.
Waited for 40 minutes after our reservation to be seated.
Food was fantastic. Everyone was very helpful. Recommend highly. We went pre theatre and they were very accommodating on time!
Excellent service. Great food. Very busy Friday night during Pre Theater Hours. Want to go back in Hells Kitchen or East Side Midtown when we are not rushed bec of Theater Curtain Hour. Thanks!
Really nice place with good food.
A little bit noisy and may be the impression to be pushed to leave (but may be linked to cultural way)
Great food and great space. Good service.
Only had the spring rolls and a soup, but they were not good at all
Food was delicious, price was great. Definitely coming back!
I’ve been here a few times and it’s always amazing. Service is great, food is amazing, and usually the ambiance is great but this time around they have techno/edc music and it was very strange.
Don’t bother making a reservation on a Friday night because we waiting 30 minutes for our table even with the reservation.
Great service and amazing ambience. The food was very average but I have had amazing food at their midtown east location so maybe it was an off night (Friday at 6 pm)
Loved the drinks and the food!!!
Chicken wing appetizers were overcooked and did not seem freshly made. Mushroom dumplings were lukewarm and unexceptional. Braised pork belly and crab fried rice entrees were excellent. Ambience was nice and energetic, service was not very reaponsive but not negligent
We had an enjoyable meal before catching a show. The staff was pleasant and the service was quick. The artisanal drinks where unique and well crafted. We started with the plaa salmon and mushroom dumplings both of which were excellent. Our short rib entrees fell of the bone. The drunken noodles had the perfect amount of spice. Dessert and tea was a real treat. We’ll be back.
Table booked over 30 days in advance and was given a table in the corner with my chair practically in another table
Food was overbearingly spicy - wasn’t informed a Thai green curry and pork on the menu would be this way - ruined the meal
No acknowledgement of my note for my fiancé’s 30th birthday
Very noisy and lacked ambience
