Really good Vietnamese food in midtown West neighborhood. One of few restaurants serving lunch at this time.
Worse experience dining here thus far. We attended for a birthday party. The staff was unorganized even though I emailed the restaurant days in advance. Sever was unenthusiastic about our presence. Drinks were okay. We ordered four appetizers and all of them were bland and the kimchi fries had only a dusting of kimchi. We all ordered entrees (four). The crab rice and drunken noodles was also bland, the crispy pork was tough and the short ribs were chewy. Needless to say we didn’t not finish any of our meals. When it came time for dessert, the server was clueless that we brought our own cake and forced us to completely ruin the surprise. Overall was highly disappointed with the dining experience and will not be returning nor recommending, which is a shame because the first time I dined here was fantastic.
The food was very average, and the cocktails we ordered were terrible. It’s a good concept but poorly executed
Great food and yummy drinks.
The food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. The dishes are all moderately priced which is another plus.
delicious food and drinks, and good service; noise level a little too high for intimate conversation, but overall pleasant atmosphere
It was such a nice setting. The food came quick and a great place to dress up and go out with friends or a date.
Casual Thai joint with fantastic food. Everything we had was top notch.
The food was great. Will be back again.
Enjoyed the experience, but would have appreciated the option of a Banh Mi sandwich. Thx.
El servicio es excelente
Super amazing food for a good price. Staff was nice even when we were late for our reservation.
Great before show
Everything was delicious, but the mushroom dumplings were exceptional.
Customer service was lacking this night but overall we kept our experience in a positive perspective.
The servers were wonderful and from the appetizers to the entrées everything was appealing to the eye and delicious to the taste! House Wine is seven dollars and Monday through Friday they have wonderful lunch specials including appetizer and entrée.
The tamarind glazed spare ribs were the best I’ve ever had.
I did not like the food at all!
The food was just ok. We got drunken noodles, crab fried rice, and the lobster pad thai. The crab fried rice was very good. The drunken noodles were good, nothing special though. The lobster on the pad thai was way overcooked. The egg was also overcooked so much that the yolk did not run. Overall, I was disappointed in the meal and service. I would not eat here again and I would not recommend it to anyone else.
Nice service and good food. Will go for large or small party
Great anniversary date with the Mrs
with lousy weather and smokers outside, moved indoors. Over fried tofu sent back and received new one but much less spicy. Very quick service and very attentive. Decent value. Nice happy hour offers but wish it included food other than oysters. Wish they had more offerings in the curry world.
Great food for a great price! Outside dining left a lot to be desired and inside was very loud with music. I wish the service was more attentive, but nonetheless a great dining experience!
Good food. Nice place. We had a small dinner there with family. Its a good place.
The food was very good, especially for the price. But what really made it is the service. Everyone worked together to make sure we were taking care of very well.
It was very crowded on a monday night when we arrived. The servers forgot us and not serving us any water 20 minutes in, until we waved to get order in and everything. Then the servers were never to be seen again until we saw one of them cleaning a nearby table and waved to get our check and get out of there. It was 90 degree outside and considered the whole restaurant was packed, they did not bother to at least turn on some AC to cool down. It was a miserable experience, overall.
The food - this restaurant is the definition of if you’re hip, swanky, and slap an overpriced tag on an item, then it’s automatically considered “good”. Food was ok, It wasn’t bad, but to be very honest I’ve had better pho at a low key spot.
The cocktail selection was spot on. A lot of nice mix of drinks.
Food was amazing. Lobster pad Thai was something new and was great. Topped with an egg over easy. Spare ribs were juicy meat fell right off the bone. Spring rolls were also a great addition.
Nice spot, but they didn’t have the AC turned on enough.
Unfriendly but efficient. Food was ok, not as fresh as it used to be. Better options out there.
Great service and great food, can not wait to go back!
The food was amazing . Me and my boyfriend loved everything
First time going to this restaurant, and with happy hour almost all day and generous delicious tasting portions, I was very pleasantly surprised.
I went on a day that did not have the lunch special, but the prices were still very reasonable for what you got. The servers were very attentive and even tailored my meal to not be that spicy and contain less oil for my healthier eating style. Definitely will go back. Great neighborhood gem!
Party of 4 pre theater dinner. Very attentive service. Great food at reasonable prices. Arrived in time for happy hour so got discount drinks and oysters. Will definitely return.
Food was excellent but service was a bit spotty and distracted.
Al fresco. Very helpful waiter and excellent food
My friend from out of town wanted Thai for lunch. I decided Obao on 9th Ave because of the ambience. We both tried the 2 dishes that had the Mitchlen star, pho and the cubed beef with rice. I know... We came for Thai but we had to try the specially rated dishes. The food came out delicious. I made reservations for 12:30pm on a Wednesday for indoor dining, we were the first guest to arrive; evenly spaced for social distancing.
My tip: bathroom door pulls, not slides. The door "handle" is misleading. You'll thank your nails later. 😉
Great experience, third time here and will definitely continue going !
Great ambiance and food... average drinks
We dined in at around 3pm, so it wasn’t busy inside at all compared to usual. It took a very long time for our food to come out. Our kimchee fries appetizer took so long, and it was lukewarm. It definitely felt as it it was sitting out and the server forgot to bring it to us. And they skimp out on the kimchee - we barely had any on top of the fries. The other four dishes that we ordered were all good - the pho bo was tasty as per usual.
