With the success of our Flagship restaurant in midtown and Water Street location, OBAO is proud to unveil its Hell's Kitchen location located on 9th avenue between 45th&46th.
Fabulous . Love it. Food is amazing. We will come back
What a treat! The food was great and it is a sweet little place. The hostesses seem a bit flustered and the front end is a bit disorganized but the overall experience was wonderful.
I loved the food and the ambiance but it's way too tiny of a space for the amount of people who go in there. The space is so cramped its impossible to get into and out of your seat without rubbing your butt on someone or knocking over a glass.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at this location. Good food, special environment. Thank you for hosting us.
The food is good but a pho cost $15 that its too expensive. I'd pay only $7.
I love this place and eat here at least once a week .
The menu wasn't entirely accurate as to the ingredients contained in individual dishes. I do not like cilantro at all and the menu did not warn me that it would be ubiquitous in the dish I ordered.
We visited Obao Hell's Kitchen. Very tasty food - Pad Kee Mao (!!), steamed vegetables dumplings (!!) and grilled Japanese eggplant (!). Nice and quick service. We expected more impactful ambience - the lanterns look stunning on pictures, in reality they are less impressive, but overall - we liked the experience a lot as it felt authentic, reminding us of eateries we visited in South East Asia.
Great food and beautiful atmosphere but small space with tables very close to each other. Feels like you are in the conversation of the people to the right and left of you. Would definitely recommend before a show in the area.
Great! A favorite spot in the theater district.
Made a confirmed reservation for 645PM. Was given a buzzer upon arrival and was not seated until 720PM. Food was good, but will not be returning due to failure to honor reservations.
Cute atmosphere. My sister LOVED the decorative lanterns and wood walls. Food was excellent! Nice menu of Thai and Vietnamese dishes with easy icons to identify vegetarian or Michelin recommended dishes which made ordering very easy. I really appreciated that they have Khao Soi on the menu which I haven't found on a Thai menu outside of Chiang Mai. Very authentic and delicious! Will definitely return.
Amazing food and ambiance. No lunch specials on weekends.
Had a good time. Wasn’t the best Pho, but the other Thai entreees were delicious
Reasonably priced Hell’s Kitchen location. Perfect for a pre/post theater drink and consistently reliable fare. Been to this location multiple times without any dip in the quality of our appetizers or entrees.
Noise level is high but no problem focusing on table side conversation. Price point makes it good for date night as witnessed by the number of twenty somethings.
Always consistent in quality of food and service always friendly. One of my favorite go-to places in NYC for Thai.
The food is amazing!!
Please try pork chops, pad ke mao, soup - everything is just so good :)
Very good option for before or after the theater when you want a menu that is not too meat heavy.
Our first time to New York and we looked up this restaurant before we left and made reservations. It did not disappoint! We enjoyed our dishes - I ordered rice basil and my husband ordered the coconut milk soup with pork belly and shrimp and they were delish! We also ordered the short ribs and shrimp rolls for appetizers and they were awesome! Such a great experience! We will go back!
All was fine but felt waitress was rushing us out.
Great food great flavours first place I go to eat when I visit NYC from the UK
Always love Thai Food. We want to spend our last time of 2018 year with good food. This place’s Thai food is pretty awesome. There are many Thai in the city, but I think here is the best and pretty reasonable price. I love pad thai and curry. You should try this! Last time a few months ago, i tried spring rolls but it was not that good so honestly i wasnt satisfied before. However, this time entree was really great! Thank you.
This is the best Thai food we have ever eaten and this is opinion of all our diners that evening .
Every item we had was deliciously made and very tasteful
Appetizers soups and entrees were great
Had no space for dessert
I fact we can back to eat at lunch to try different items
Rude staff. Food came cold. Waitstaff wouldnt pay attention on our request or questions.
So good, we went twice!
Great food....just not sure why they have to play techno music
Cashew chilli chicken is so good. We got sat in a nice area upstairs at the front of the restaurant where space was not an issue
Service was quick and food was good. The reservation saved us a 30 minute wait.
I am very happy with the experience I had with this restaurant. Not only was the service great but the food was even better. I would also recommend their drink specials
Came here with friends after seeing a play. Food and drinks were really good and service was excellent. Will be back!
Good food. Staff friendly. Restaurant was a bit loud but we could have a conversation.
Obao was amazing! The food was great and the service was exceptional! Will be back here for sure!!
A great meal. Well prepared and served. Clean flavours.
Food was amazing best Lobster Pad Thai. Disappointed in our waitress. Waitress wasn’t the friendliest.
Food was excellent ! Ambiance was great ! Great wine a loved it all !
Awesome restaurant-great tastes and superb staff. The dishes are unique-each with a special taste-I would go back again and again!
good and popular flavours, young crowd, noisy but that comes with the territory
Loved all the food and my time here!
Great restaurant. Waitress was very nice and gave us great recommendations.
Great drinks and food at a very reasonable price for Hell's Kitchen. The Portions were a good size and the ambiance of the room is gram worthy. Staff was very helpful and turned over the tables quickly.
