Oasis on the Beach
We strongly believe that residents and guests of Hawaii want to experience Hawaii. We use local sources for almost 90% of our ingredients, and work closely with Kauai"s farmers and fishermen to provide you with the best and freshest possible ingredients.
We work to highlight the quality and freshness of our ingredients in a style that captures the diversity of local cultures and influences without burying the delicious flavors that our local ingredients offer.
Great lunch at the Oasis. Service was great and the food served quickly and delicious
Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, we had a lovely dinner
Everything was over salted and service was terribly slow. Would not recommend
We were seated outside with a beautiful view of the sunset. Great food, good service.
Our favorite restaurant on Kauai AL local food & view
Good service, food was tasty - good brunch option with a view
Had a little trouble finding the restaurant in the dark but after we were there everything was excellent!!! The food the drinks the service - all amazing! Great find - we’ll definitely be back on our next trip to the garden isle.
The service was great and so were the chips... the mains not so much
Probably the very best place that we visit. From the manager who greets you(yes he does shave his head before the place opens every day!) to bussers and of course there is Henry.
This time we had the fresh fish that was Ahi and it was better that great. Also had the Curry with Ahi as well and I just loved that.
We will visit again before we leave the Island this time and already making plans for our next trip and dinner at the Oasis.!
Perfect staff including waitresses, chefs, servers, hostess, bus boys etc. very accommodating with the best Aloha spirit I have experienced in the islands. Beautiful setting with a full moon and was seated with a view of the moonlit ocean. Spectacular!
The boneless braised short ribs were tender, flavorful and easily fell apart with tongs of a fork. I substituted the bacon truffle fried rice with mashed potatoes and ordered green beans. Both were excellent. Accompanied by a glass of Malbec the meal was perfect. I had the apple banana cinnamon lumpia with pistachio gelato to end the meal.
The only concern I had was the uncomfortable dining chair.
All in all the best way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of my heart transplant of which the staff were unaware.
The Oasis was an amazing place to dine. Everyone was extremely friendly and far more accommodating than any other place I have visited. Our first night there we started with 3 people, then grew to 6 then to 10 after we were all ready seated. even though they had limited availability to seat us at 3 people, they accommodated the 10 with no frustration and nothing but graciousness.
That same gracious attitude was shown to us every time we ate there during our trip. The general manager was the person that accommodated us that first night and is absolutely incredible, friendly and warm. He is the gem that makes that place so special, his team is just as wonderful. Oh yeah, and the food was pretty great too!
If you have to go out of your way to dine here, it will be well worth the trouble.
Food was uninspired and uninteresting for the price
McG better choices elsewhere. Don’t waste your time or money.
Birthday celebration. We had a view of the ocean as the sun was setting... beautiful! Absolutely would visit again. Food was excellent and featured mostly local ingredients.
Excellent food and service. Our table was probably 100 feet from the ocean, with appropriately great views. Shared crispy Okinawa sweet potato chip appetizer with poblano cheese sauce. My wife had the beet and arugula salad and I had the local vegetable Thai curry, each with the catch of the day, which was ahi. Both great. We shared the apple banana spring roll for dessert, small portion but just enough. Would highly recommend this place.
Fantastic spot! It was our anniversary so the hostess had an ocean side table for two reserved for us with complimentary champagne too — much to our surprise!
OpenTable asked if it was a special occasion and we were treated like a king and queen!
We had fish tacos and a beet/arugula salad and everything was delicious. The service was great. Friendly people!
And too add to the experience, to get there you walk through a lovely lobby, pass a koi fish pond and lush tropical gardens surrounding a beautiful pool complex.
Oasis was wonderful! Highly recommend if!
Really good food and a great view.
we love oasis. the emphasis on fresh and local ingredients we love. the service is always spot on and the bar excels at interesting craft cocktails.
Excellent food and service. Wonderful ambience for dining at the beach!
The view cannot be beat!! Our server was great. Food was good but not great. Would go back !!
Hidden gem of a restaurant. Great views and ocean breeze. Thank you Open Table for the recommendation.
A hidden gem, even us locals to Kauai. Never disappointed!
We had a wonderful view of the ocean at sunset! Our waitress was so attentive and sweet and our food was excellent! We ordered the tartare for an appetizer which was so very delicious and fresh! We shared the beet and arugula salad which was nice and flavorful. I ordered the fresh catch Seared fish -ahi which was cooked perfectly on a bed of mashed purple sweet potatoes and bok choy. My husband ordered the fresh catch Grilled fish which was a marlin, also cooked perfectly on mashed sweet potatoes and greens. Very happy and loved our dinner! This is a Must Do whenever we visit Kauai! We had a classic Mai Tai which was excellent and a dragon fruit sorbet for dessert! ❤️ Oasis!
Nice view and fresh Food the local fish is excellent
Excellent food, great ambiance and the service was great. Beautiful ocean view setting.
Waited a long time for food. The servers gave our food to another table, then picked it up from their table and brought it to us. The ahi tacos were dry and empty other than a small, dry piece of ahi and 3 shreds of cabbage for $18 plus tax. The Philly Cheesesteak tasted like a vending machine sandwich for $16 plus tax. No plus side other than the beachfront location. Would never return.
Oasis is in a hotel which would be nice to know since location numbers are not easy to see. Spectacular location with views forever!
We had breakfast here the day before our dinner date. This meal was amazing. The dinner? Well, it was not at all inspiring. The beet salad was tasteless, boring. The burger was served on a bun that must have been rescued from a burger chain recycle bin. The meat was less than tasteless, but we were told that was because it was grass fed beef. This was a honeymoon treat. The cost was high, expectations were high, the fries were good, Tyler our server, was a hoot. I will never go back there.
I travel a lot and I must say this was one of the best meals of my life. The sweet potato chips are amazing and we ordered a second round of them. The fish is fresh and perfectly prepared. Make sure you get the apple-banana dessert to complete the perfect meal.
Amy was our waitress. Very good service and her recommendations were spot on! Seared rare ahi tuna with Hawaiian sweet potatoes and bok choy. Oh so good! I highly recommend the apple banana and butterscotch ice cream dessert. We would definitely return.
RIGHT ON THE OCEAN east side of Kaua’i Terrific breakfast with the best French press coffee Thanks to Tess for the service !!
Great little find on the ocean. Great service!
I wish I could give 6 stars or more. The food was the star of the show, but the server was perfect, the setting very romantic, and we had the best table out on the edge of the patio, so quiet and almost private. We both started with the pork wontons, served right out of the fryer, perfectly chewy/crispy, with juicy tender flavorful pork inside, with the perfect spicy sweet sauce for dipping. My main course was the Farmers Market Yellow Curry, with the most perfectly diced and lightly cooked vegetables that I’m sure the chef pre-tasted to make sure each one was perfect. The spices and flavor of the yellow curry sauce was the perfect setting for those outstanding veggies. My companion had the Seared Catch which must have been sushi grade ahi, seared on both sides, nicely leaving most of the fish rare. Superbly presented on sweet potato purée and bok Choo. We shared the Apple Banana Spring Roll for dessert and were so sorry we hadn’t ordered two. If you only go to one restaurant on Kauai, this is the one.
One of the very best meals I’ve had in a long time, and I travel and dine out all over the world. My server, Henry, was outstanding. He spoke enthusiastically about the food, and rightfully so! The ahi tuna was incredible, and the caprese style tomato salad was to die for! I have a few nights left on Kauai and might go back for a second meal.
Beautiful location with great service. Would be nice to see more vegan options.
Good food, good service, we enjoyed our evening. It was nice to be in a place where we could hear each other.
We are a party of 8...4 women from So. California and 2 couples from Hamburg, Germany. Oasis by the Beach was actually recommended to us as a MUST STOP by the former General Manager, Don, back in February when he was visiting in Los Angeles. When we first arrived, we were very pleased with our table and it’s location. Our server was very nice and even broke out his best German phrases for our friends. Everything seemed fine until we were served our dinners. Most everyone was served with cold food. We immediately notified our server, who then sent over the new GM, Mike. Mike tried to make things right by offering each person in our group a new meal, but at this point, it was late and everyone was frustrated and tired. He did offer us complimentary dessert which we took advantage of. Unfortunately, when the Berry Tiramisu arrived, it tasted very strange and we noticed it was curdled. Luckily none of us got sick. As we were leaving the restaurant, we noticed there was a kitchen off the pool. Turns out that this is where the food was cooked and probably was sitting there for awhile before it reached our table which accounted for it arriving cold. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was nice, but there is something definitely wrong in the kitchen. Not a great experience in Kauai dining and their menu is pricey. We would not recommend.
Beautiful location on the beach, great food and generally good service.
One irritating episode was that the manager was very busy making sure that guests of the hotel were pampered and pleased (the tables on either side of ours) but seemed to go out of his way to ignore the other visiting dinner guests. Fine, his prerogative. Pur future choices.
Had a great dinner with an ocean view nice breeze very good food the service was excellent
The service was absolutely outstanding, our waitress was the tops, very attentive and professional . The view was unbeatable. Our table had spectacular ocean views. The drink specials were very tasty and the pork wontons appetizer was delicious!, along with the dipping sauce.
I had the beef special. It was a large portion and was very tender. A little too salty for my taste but cooked to the requested temperature. The green bean side were slightly under done and the potato mash a little over beaten. Again the accompanying sauce was scrumptious.
My wife had the grilled marlin. The portion size was rather on the small size. Maybe 3 ounces but the sides were good. Normally I would not complain about the food so much but the prices were at the top of the mark, so I expected the food to be the same. Not disappointed, just not blown away, except for the service!
Lovely setting, great food and lovely staff. Would definately recommend
