About Oasis Wine Lounge
According to the Mercury News (2007), "The menu in the main restaurant is equally eclectic (compared to its wine lounge), with unusual dishes such as pumpkin borani, which features spicy peppers and garlic, and aushak, pasta filled with leek and cilantro and topped with garlic-yogurt sauce and sautéed ground beef, and simpler starters and entrees such as grilled salmon and beef, shrimp, lamb, and chicken kabobs. The owners have designed their menu to accommodate the palates of those who like spicier, more exotic dishes and those who prefer milder, well-prepared salads, vegetables, and grilled seafood and meat.” Come experience this treasure in Downtown Pleasanton in either the main dining room or our relaxing wine lounge.

Oasis Wine Lounge Ratings and Reviews
I met two girlfriends and had a lovely dinner. Nancy was our server and gave excellent service. We sat in a quiet room off the main dining room which was great for conversation. We ordered off the happy hour menu and everything was delicious! Wines were quite tasty as well. I'll be back and will bring my friends.
Yummy Afghani- style meal with friends. We shared the Appetizer Sampler with the pumpkin borani, babaganoush, dolmas, and shrimp and then the kebab sampler. Everything was excellent. Food was well seasoned, had yummy sauces, and well cooked meats. We cleaned our plates. We shared two desserts that we're both also fabulous- the chocolate mousse biscuit layered pie and the nut toffee cake with vanilla ice cream. Would love to go back and try more things.
Looking for a place in Pleasanton that was vegetarian friendly. This place popped up in my Google search. No problem making reservations only a few days in advance. Promptly seated upon arrival. Good beer/wine selection and inventive tasty cocktails. We ordered the baba gaanoush appetizer and their specialty pumpkin bolani. The baba ghanoush was the best I have ever had. the pumpkin bolani was delicious as well. For a main course I had the shrimp skewer and ordered the serrano vinaigrette. The waitress warned me that it was spicy. It had a good heat to it as I love spicy food. We will definitely be returning. My companions were equally pleased with their entrees.
Delicious Food and comfortable atmosphere! The Pumpkn Barani is a must! Nancy was a great server! She has a detailed understanding of the menu! I appreciate her recognizing my friend's Birthday with photos and a tasty dessert! A wonderful dinning experience! Thank you!
I and my wife reserved a table for Valentine's Day, and we arrived on time. We were given a lousy table for two that was in between two large tables. We waited for 45 minutes and when we asked a waiter if we were going to be served, they were trying to figure out who's assigned to our table. We left without dining and had a great time at BJs on Fallon Road, where we were treated royally. Needless to say we'll never go to Oasis Grille again.
5 women came for a birthday lunch. The food was amazing. We shared a bottle of wine, a Pumpkin Borani, Potato Bolani, and a Basil Shrimp appetizer, a Saharan Greens salad, and a Koobideh Kebab entree. Each dish was excellent and we all felt filled with great food. They brought us two Caramel Emotion desserts for our friend's birthday. We had a wonderful time.
The Oasis is an excellent restaurant! The Mediterranean style food is delicious and healthy! The drinks are great too! The staff is helpful, friendly, and attentive. They offer suggestions and recommendations to your liking. It's also great for special occasions as I recently had my birthday dinner there.
I've been to Oasis several times with my husband and with my adult son, usually for lunch. The food, as always, was terrific, great Mediterranean/Middle Eastern, with unique and flavorful dishes. The service was excellent as well. My husband and I brought a visiting friend with us and we began our meal early, at 5:30 pm. We stayed, chatting and catching up, of course. Our mistake was that we had neglected to ask for a table away from the bar on a Saturday night. By the time we left, we could barely hear each other. Our friend, who had never been to Oasis, although he used to live in Berkeley and visited Dublin every weekend, said his only complaint was the noise level. It is unfortunate that in what is otherwise a very classy setting and really nice restaurant, the noise level peaks to rock concert levels by 7 pm on a Saturday night. Perhaps it's just me, but it seems this is happening more and more in downtown Pleasanton. Even other, formerly quiet and romantic restaurants, have become loud by early evening. Too bad.
Girls get together birthday celebration. 6pm reservation for 4. The Strawberry Lemon Drop cocktail was a hit. Appetizers: Pumpkin borani & dipping sauces. Lamb shank, salmon, beef gyros w/salad were the meals. Cooked & spiced perfectly. Dessert: They brought out a candled Tiramisu sliced cake while singing the HaPpY BiRtHdaY Song, accompanied by 4 spoons for sharing ... yummy. Handicap parking & powerchair maneuvering was a little difficult but manageable. Tables were very close but people were gracious moving them like 'Moses separating the Red Sea' . Staff friendly, inviting, and accommodating.
Honestly, I will put the caveat that my only visit to Oasis was for our annual Christmas Luncheon for our independent contractors. We've always gone to Stacey's on Main for this occasion but Stacey's is no longer in business and we had to find a new venue. The service was good. The food was good--but my garlic mashed potatoes were lukewarm at best and decidedly lacking in garlic and didn't really strike me as being as good as real potatoes. I ate quickly as my kabob was only slightly warmer than my potatoes. Portions were generous and tasty. Overall, we were happy with the food. We had two major problems, though. The first was the noise level was nearly intolerable and made much worse by one particularly rude and over-exuberant group who seemed to forget this was lunch, not a club party. The second was, despite making reservations a month in advance, we somehow were delegated to a small table that set for 6, not 7, directly in front of the door. EVERY time someone opened the door a frigid gust of December wind came right into our laps. There were other tables of equal size NOT in front of the door but this is where we ended up. After 20-30 minutes of this, we asked to be moved as there were other tables open. The waitress then proceeded to try to move us right next to the loudest table in the place. We declined and she promptly offered to move us as soon as they left, which should be soon as they were eating. An hour later, they finally left and she proceeded to try to place us in the table right next to us which was still subjected to the opening of the door. When we asked to be moved to the now empty space one table over, she remained polite but her irritation was very evident. I will give her kudos that she was willing to accommodate us but I will also point out that we were not being rude or obnoxious in any way, simply and politely asking for what we needed to enjoy our time there. Next year, we will continue looking for a new venue for our annual lunch!!
6 of us had our pre holidays car pool banquet in Oasis Grille,
We had pumpkin borani, Greek dolmehs and bolani bread for starters. Had lamb shanks, kabob platter for 2 , chicken and filet mignon; all wonderful; the Kaboli rice is marvellous!
Good ambience and low level of noise to catch up with the latest ....
Our company hosted a luncheon for 28 of our clients. The restaurant staff was incredibly accommodating our group and set us up in a lovely windowed room. As busy as the restaurant was, everyone got their individually ordered meal at the same time
The staff constantly refilled water glasses and refilled our wine glasses and checked with everyone in our party. The food was amazing! We will absolutely return to this restaurant and truly appreciate their efgorys!
