Food and service were great as always. But Oasis needs to do something about the flies. We even had a hornet land on our table. That made the experience frustrating.
The only thing that bothered us were the flies flying around.
Server could care less about waiting on us. Asked for Earl Grey Tea, received warm water with a tea bag in it. If this is one of your specialties then educate yourself and remember that tea is best with boiling hot water. Ordered the waffle, got an 8" cold, rubbery flat disc. Asked for another cut of tea, 15 min later tepid water from a pitcher poured into my cup. WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!
We enjoyed our food very much! The only thing that bothered me was that the floor was dirty, so much so that I did not want to set my purse down and instead had to balance it on the seat of my chair. Other than that, we loved it.
Excellent value in the three-course dinner special. Great table service. Very comfortable. We're here before every SLAC performance.
Lisa is phenomenal! She gave the best recommendations, was extremely kind, and made the experience ten times better than we expected.
The lavender pinna cotta & creme brûlée are must-haves
I love this place, especially for brunch. The food is great and they have $5 mimosas! Just don’t forget to have a reservation because you might not get seated without one.
I've eaten at Oasis twice for nice occasions, and both times the meals were excellent, the service friendly, prompt (thanks, Marty!) and wrinkle-free. The patio was a lovely place to eat.
Great Sunday brunch on the patio. New favorite place for breakfast!! Food was good (we had french toast and breakfast burrito) and the server was great. We'll definitely return.
I have eaten at Oasis many times and am never disappointed. Their menu is fantastic and the food is great.
Food was good, but the patio is the selling point. Nice open space with beautiful garden.
Nice place and our food was good. Service had no issues.
The downfalls: the bookstore that shares the courtyard and building had a heavy flow of incense flowing out that really ruined the food. Get them in check.
Wine list was embarrassing compared to how good the food was and the drink menu was lazy. This place deserves an craft cocktail list. Wine list was most uninspired of any (sit down) restaurant we've been to in SLC.
Drop the incense and find someone to write a wine and drink list and the whole package will come together.
Either way, we will be back next time we are in SLC.
We had the best waiter, who was so attentive and friendly! Both of us ordered the grilled salmon that came with a lavender, honey polenta cake and fresh veggies. All of which was phenomenal! The restaurant had a great garden to eat in and a wonderful ambience. We will be coming back very soon! Thanks Oasis Cafe!
My out-of-town friend said she needed to eat light--just some fish with vegetables on the side. I had to figure out where, and the first place I thought of was Oasis. What we got was waaaaaay better than "just some fish"--grilled salmon with lavender-honey polenta cake and arugula salad--it was fabulous enough that just the memory of the meal is making my mouth water.
Excellent food and great service!!! Atmosphere was very nice and we didn’t have to talk loud to hear each other.
Love the Oasis Cafe. Went for lunch twice this week!
Located in the city center area but a great feel to the restaurant and patio. Open and breezy feeling. Enjoyed Sunday brunch with my husband and mom. They were very accommodating with her walker and oxygen.
Food was great! Huevos rancheros was a perfect brunch item. My mom enjoyed her Oasis scramble and croissant as well. We will definitely be back for another brunch!
Despite having been here before and having had wonderful meals, this particular dinner for our daughter's birthday was rather disappointing due to one annoying detail. There were five of us dining and they seated us at a table that was barely large enough for four. I sat at the end of the table and had little room to maneuver my water glass, wine glass, and dinner plate. A simple detail that made the entire meal regrettable. With friendly staff, a wide variety of well prepared dishes, and then they seat us at this small table in a restaurant that had ample room - less than half of the tables were occupied at the time. When selecting a restaurant for our next occasion (my wife's birthday is tomorrow) - I will be dining elsewhere - the staff HAD to know that the table was as crowded as it was, yet they elected to seat us where they did. Sure, I could have asked for a larger table...........if they feel that is my responsibility!! (it is not my job to make them do their's correctly) They must have a greater awareness of the ultimate overall dining experience - especially with so many dining options. If there are 100 restaurants, 99 are your competition.
We enjoyed the relaxed but eclectic atmosphere. Our server did an amazing job! We were all from out of town and found this place on open table. We were very satisfied with the pick. The menu options were unique and there were solid options. I would eat here again and recommend it to others.
Great, as usual! Other than my friend and I being seated at two different tables and having to find each other, lunch was divine!
Oasis is amazingly and consistently good
Every time we visit SLC, about four times a year, we always have our Sunday brunch at the Oasis, sometimes a dinner. Great place, friendly staff, great food, and good ambiance!
Great Coffee drinks. It was a very cute place and we went for outdoor dining but it was raining. We’ll definitely be back. Not many places are open for Sunday breakfast. My meal and coffee drink we excellent.
Amazing as always. Lisa is the reason we continue to come to Oasis. We just love her!
Food was delicious. The Beet Tower was a table favorite. Unfortunately the waitress' service was poor. It was a warm sunny day and we did not get water refills until the end of the our meal. Server disappeared for 20 minutes at the end of the meal while we waited for our checks.
Oasis Café was a great choice for our late Mother's Day breakfast-brunch. The patio was charming and the food verged on decadent (or maybe they just used a lot of butter—it was delicious in any case). We ended up spending just about $35 before the tip for our party of three. It was fun to people watch and we took advantage of the 20% off coupon at the bookstore afterwards. I would recommend this place for special occasions where you don't want to break the bank.
Other than my girlfriend and I being seated on 2 different patios for approximately 20 minutes before discovering each other, the meal was great!
As usual the food was great and the place is nice and welcoming, our waitress was not feeling well I guess, we had to ask other servers for the things we needed.
Come for nice get away, and enjoy the taste sensational journey. From starter to dessert. You'll fall in love
Took 30 minutes for food to come out. Very slow service
Another great meal at Oasis Cafe. Every time we go we always wonder why we do not go there more often. It never disappoints. Great food and drink.
The food was really good but the service was terrible. We waited at least 20 minutes before we were greeted by our waitress. The table behind us who had at least 8 people didn't even order their food for at least 35 minutes even though staff walked by their table multiple times. Our drinks never stayed refilled and the staff just seemed clueless. Even though I really enjoyed the food I wouldn't go again because the service was so awful.
Super dinner. Wish they had wild salmon rather than farm raised. Had the Mahi Mahi which was very tasty. Rest of the group enjoyed their meals
What a great spot for fresh interesting food! I would call the menu contemporary American with vegan and gluten free options available. Sat outside on the lovely spacious patio. The ambience, food and service were excellent!
Great food and loved the shop.
Amazing! I would eat brunch here every day if I could!
Went for work lunch with a Vegetarian person and a Gluten-free person. Each of us loved the food our food selections. Just wish I would have had time to peruse the book/gift store contained on the premises because to me, that is part of the experience.
Brought in a group from out of town. We sat outside. Great ambiance. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the dessert. I've been here many times and the service was a bit slower than usual. It took awhile to get our drink order in and another wait to get our food order in. We weren't in a rush so it was no big deal. The service just wasn't what it usually is.
I've been to Oasis before and was always impressed. This last Sunday for brunch I was a little disappointed. Service was slow, we had to remind them to bring our stuff, like coffee, ketchup, silverware. The food was cold when it got to the table. Also, the taste wasn't that impressive either. I'll wait a while before I go back.. maybe there were understaffed this Sunday and that's why it wasn't the best.
