Oasis Cafe - Salt Lake City
Lunch: Daily: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Dinner: Sunday - Thursday: 5:00pm - 9:00pm, Friday - Saturday: 5:00pm - 10:00pm
The good food and service is compromised by an overwhelming pungent odor (insense?) coming from the adjacent bookstore.
Great food. Great restaurant. It's a little crowded and noisy, but will definitely go back.
A good menu, not too fancy, friendly service, easy going ambiance-- We are regulars, just the two of us to be together or visiting family for a great get together meal
We love Oasis for brunch and go often. It’s terrific. We were looking for a dinner place and realized we had never thought or heard about Oasis for dinner. There’s a reason: the food was terrible. Only one of six of us liked our entree. We had a wide variety of dishes: beef fajitas, mahi mahi special, noodles, tuna sushi. All were mediocre to terrible. And it was incredibly expensive: around $25 for an entree without sides. We plan to go again for lunch but will not return for dinner.
Overall we like the Oasis cafe, but the tables are so crammed together that the place is insanely noisy. We couldn’t even have a conversation with each other. Good food though.
Prompt service, beautiful setting, and exquisite food. I had their grilled salmon on a bed of greens, delicious fresh bread, tea and creme brûlée for dessert. Prices incredibly reasonable for the taste. I will go back as often as possible.
Food was good as usual, waitress a little slow , but not too bad. Be sure to make a reservation! It gets very busy o Sunday morning!
Got the mediterranean salad with chicken and it was delicious.
The Reuben sandwich was great. Lean pastrami, tasty rye, and fixings that weren’t smothering. Salad leaves were fresh. Grapes in salad made for nice clean complement to Reuben. Perfect.
We had a business meeting breakfast and this place is amazing, unique and quite the GEM!! We loved it and highly recommend for any occasion! Plus it was Halloween and the staff were in costume as were some of us!
Service was bad but the food was still magnificent.
Oasis is always a great place to dine. We love their breakfast at Oasis. The huevos rancheros is fabulous.
Dustin was awesome. We love this place because the quality is awesome and the experience is so consistent.
The Oasis is our 'pick' for a pre-theater restaurant. The restaurant is an oasis in the city: good food, great wait staff....a comfortable way to start the evening. We're here before every SLAC performance
Always good. It was crowded and our food was not as good as usual. Our meals were not as hot as you would expect.
Absolutely wonderful food and service! Will return soon.
We’ve been coming to the Oasis for years, always a positive experience. Not this time. These are my complaints: the ladies restroom was messy and needed cleaning. My Mahi dinner was not satisfactory mashed potatoes were warm not hot, the Mahi was dry, actually used a knife to cut it and it was small serving of fish for $25.
Because of a communication problem my husband did not get the meal he thought he had ordered, our server was very nice and got the meal he wanted. He said his meal was good.
The Oasis is a pleasant stop for the four of us before every SLAC performance. I gave it a '4' for food because my 'three-course- special' included halibut that was WAY too done. Yes, I know halibut is normally 'dense' and thus not as moist as other fish but I've had tons of fish at the Oasis and this was just plain dry! Everyone else liked what they had and commented on it.
Service was excellent. The flourless chocolate cake is terrific. My complaint here is specific and does not reflect my feeling about the restaurant over many years. We'll be back.
Lyndsay, our waitress was phenomenal. She kept our glasses full and she was really nice! Thank you!
At this time I would recommend it to a friend, but if the service is aloof again I would no longer recommend it.
Visiting Salt Lake and randomly picked this spot. Portions were a good size (not too big or too small) and everything was fresh. Very chill vibe to the place with really pleasant staff.
The actual restaurant and the service was great but the food is very mediocre
Lovely setting, great food, friendly service
Great spot. Delicious dinner and great atmosphere.
Loved our evening, meal and waitress. She is a real pro.
Great place to meet and converse, not to loud. Food is above average, but I would not call it excellent. Prices are fair and good service.
My scallop dish with Isreali couscous was very unique and yummy. Their wine offerings are good too, with reasonable prices. We dined here for dinner on 8/12, and our server was great (I didn't catch her name, but she has dark hair, glasses, around 25). We were greeted promptly, as was our food & drink delivery. Although the restaurant was clean, the flies were prolific. Strange. Perhaps it was the time of day, year, or other factors. We had eaten here once before, and liked it. We will return for sure.
I love the atmosphere at Oasis Cafe and the food is really tasty
Always delicious !!! Would be nice if there were more vegan options.
Delicious, nice place. Only feedback I’d give is to try to deter the flies/bees on the patio.
Have been here several times and the food is always outstanding and the service is always great! Came this time to celebrate our engagement and it didn't disappoint, they handled my requests and made our special night even more special!
Very relaxing ambiance with good food and great service. We'll be back!
Been going to the Oasis for years. A favorite place for family get-togethers. Wait staff is terrific. Food is yum. Depending on when you go and where you sit it can be a quiet, intimate setting or a lively, noisy setting -- good atmosphere either way.
I've been going to Oasis Cafe for a while now, it's always my go to brunch spot on the weekends. Friendly staff and always a clean environment. The food is always great as well, I never have any complaints with the food.
We just love Oasis! The service is always spectacular! This is one of my all time favorite spots. The food is always delicious. Thank you for always being wonderful:)
Good service, great menu, very pleasant ambiance with indoor and out door options. A very reliable go to restaurant with lots of healthy options.
Food and service were great as always. But Oasis needs to do something about the flies. We even had a hornet land on our table. That made the experience frustrating.
The only thing that bothered us were the flies flying around.
Server could care less about waiting on us. Asked for Earl Grey Tea, received warm water with a tea bag in it. If this is one of your specialties then educate yourself and remember that tea is best with boiling hot water. Ordered the waffle, got an 8" cold, rubbery flat disc. Asked for another cut of tea, 15 min later tepid water from a pitcher poured into my cup. WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!
We enjoyed our food very much! The only thing that bothered me was that the floor was dirty, so much so that I did not want to set my purse down and instead had to balance it on the seat of my chair. Other than that, we loved it.
